Passive daytime radiative cooling(PDRC)is an innovative and sustainable cooling technology that holds immense potential for addressing the energy *** the numerous reports on radiative coolers,the design of a straightforward,efficient,and readily producible system remains a ***,we present the development of a hierarchical aligned porous poly(vinylidene fluoride)(HAP-PVDF)film through a freeze-thaw-promoted nonsolvent-induced phase separation *** film features oriented microporous arrays in conjunction with random nanopores,enabling efficient radiative cooling performance under direct sunlight *** incorporation of both micro-and nano-pores in the HAP-PVDF film results in a remarkable solar reflectance of 97%and a sufficiently high infrared thermal emissivity of 96%,facilitating sub-environmental cooling at 1..3℃ on sunny days and 1..1. on cloudy ***,the HAP-PVDF film also exhibits exceptional flexibility and *** calculations further confirm a radiative cooling power of 94.8 W·m^(-2)under a solar intensity of 1.00W·m^(-2),demonstrating a performance comparable to the majority of reported radiative coolers.

The demand for highly porous yet transparent aerogels with mechanical flexibility and solar-thermal dual-regulation for energy-saving windows is significant but ***,a delaminated aerogel film(DAF)is fabricated through filtration-induced delaminated gelation and ambient *** delaminated gelation process involves the assembly of fluorinated cellulose nanofiber(FCNF)at the solid-liquid interface between the filter and the filtrate during filtration,resulting in the formation of lamellar FCNF hydrogels with strong intra-plane and weak interlayer hydrogen *** exchanging the solvents from water to hexane,the hydrogen bonding in the FCNF hydrogel is further enhanced,enabling the formation of the DAF with intra-layer mesopores upon ambient *** resulting aerogel film is lightweight and ultra-flexible,which pos-sesses desirable properties of high visible-light transmittance(91.0%),low thermal conductivity(33 mW m^(-1. K^(-1.),and high atmospheric-window emissivity(90.1.).Furthermore,the DAF exhibits reduced surface energy and exceptional hydrophobicity due to the presence of fluorine-containing groups,enhancing its durability and UV ***,the DAF has demonstrated its potential as solar-thermal regulatory cooling window materials capable of simultaneously providing indoor lighting,thermal insulation,and daytime radiative cooling under direct ***,the enclosed space protected by the DAF exhibits a temperature reduction of 2.6℃ compared to that shielded by conventional architectural glass.

Quantum Unruh Effect on Radiation of Black Holes

The quantum Unruh effect on radiation of a gravitational object including a black hole is analyzed and calculated. It is surprisingly found that the well-known Hawking radiation of a black hole is not physical. Applying the Stephan-Boltzmann law with the use of the Unruh radiation temperature at the surface of a black hole to calculate the power of radiation of the black hole is conceptually unphysical. This is because the Unruh radiation temperature results from the gravitational field of the object rather than from the thermal motion of matter of the object, so that the Stephan-Boltzmann law is not applicable. This paper shows that the emission power of Unruh radiation from a gravitational object should be calculated in terms of the rate of increase of the total Unruh radiation energy outside the object. The result obtained from this study indicates that a gravitational object can emit Unruh radiation when the variation of its mass and radius satisfies an inequality of dM/M > 1.25dR/R. For a black hole, the emission of Unruh radiation does not occur unless it can loose its mass (dM < 0). The emission power of Unruh radiation is only an extremely tiny part of the rate of mass-energy loss if the black hole is not extremely micro-sized. This study turns down our traditional understanding of the Hawking radiation and thermodynamics of black holes.

Designing cost-effective and high-performing metal catalysts is significant for many renewable energy conversion *** metal loading without sacrificing activity and durability is highly desired for the catalyst design,especially for those reactions where the noble metals deliver the best catalyzing ***-atom catalysts(SACs)with maximal metalatom utilization,homogeneous and tailorable active sites have emerged as promising catalyst candidates,where the local coordination structures of the metal atoms in SACs largely determine the reaction *** design strategies of constructing strong metal-support interactions can stabilize the individual metal atoms in SACs,but present obstacles to provide a flexible manipulation platform for elaborately tailoring the coordination structures to achieve performance optimization towards a specifically targeted ***,for the proof-of-concept study,we report a novel design of SAC with iridium(Ir)single atoms supported on conjugated polymer,in which the adsorption energies of reaction intermediates on Ir atoms and the reaction kinetics towards acidic water oxidation can be readily optimized through modulating the formed cation-πinteractions that can be tailored by adjusting the molecular structures of conjugated *** strategy establishes a general route to develop targeted SACs for various catalytic reactions.

Aerogels are widely used as thermal insulation materials because of their high porosity and low bulk ***,the insulation performance of aerogels is limited to a narrow temperature ***,the preparation of aerogel materials with precisely controlled and complex architectures is still ***,we report 3D printed polyimide/silica aerogel particle(PI/SAP)composite aerogels for thermal insulation in a wide range of temperature with customized *** printability and shape fidelity of 3D printed composite aerogels is improved by adding hydrophilic SAP as a rheology *** resulting PI/SAP composite aerogel exhibits excellent flame-retardant properties and thermal insulation from-50℃ to 1.00℃.Moreover,the PI/SAP composite aerogel with customized shape can be applied for battery insulation at subzero temperatures,promising to be used as customizable and stable insulating materials in a variety of complex and extreme applications.

Dynamic Spacetime: Key to the Mysteries of Dark Matter and Dark Energy

Physics is a branch of science to study matter and its motion in space and time. Development of physics usually upgrades human perspective and understanding of the space and time. Einstein successfully developed special and general theories of relativity and creatively promoted our perspective of spacetime from Newton’s absolute space and time to his relative spacetime. Based on redshift and distance measurements of galaxies and distant type Ia supernovae, cosmologists have suggested that our universe is expanding at an ever-increasing rate driven by a mysterious dark energy. Recently, the author has proposed that spacetime is dynamic. Spacetime is said to be absolute if it is independent of matter and motion, relative if it is affected by matter and motion, and dynamic if it mutually interacts with matter and motion. In dynamic spacetime, not only do matter and motion distort spacetime, but they are also affected by the distorted spacetime. Spacetime to be dynamic is a consequence of a deep insight to Mach’s principle, which tells us that the inertia of an object results from the gravitational interaction by the rest of the universe. Reaction of dynamic spacetime on a traveling light causes light redshift. Reaction of dynamic spacetime on a fast moving neutrino slows down the neutrino. The derived redshift-distance relation perfectly explained the measurements of distant type Ia supernovae and gamma ray bursts (GRBs) and also naturally obtained Hubble’s law as an approximate relation at small redshift. This explanation of cosmological redshift as the opposition of dynamic spacetime does not mandate the universe to be expanding and accelerating, so that it does not need the universe to be initiated from a Big Bang and driven out mainly by a mysterious dark energy. Extremely slowed down neutrinos in dynamic spacetime, when they are gravitationally trapped around clusters, galaxies, and any celestial objects, would play the role of dark matter in explaining the veloci

The poor reversibility of Zn anodes induced by dendrite growth,surface passivation,and corrosion,severely hinders the practical applicability of Zn metal *** address these issues,a plasmaassisted aerogel(PAG)interface engineering was proposed as efficient ion transport modulator that can simultaneously regulate uniform Zn^(2+)flux and desolvation behavior during battery *** PAG with ordered mesopores acted as an ion sieve to homogenize Zn deposition and accelerate Zn^(2+)flux,which is favorable for corrosion resistance and dendrite ***,the plasma-assisted aerogel with abundant hydrophilic groups can facilitate the desolvation kinetics of Zn^(2+)due to the multiple hydrogen-bonding interaction with the activated water molecules,thus accelerating the Zn^(2+)migration ***,the Zn/Zn cell assembled with PAG-modified separator demonstrates stable plating and stripping behavior(over 1.00 h at 1.mA cm^(-2))and high Coulombic efficiency(99.8%at1.mA cm^(-2)after 1.00 cycles),and the Zn‖MnO_(2)full cell shows excellent long-term cycling stability and maintains a high capacity of 1.4.9 mA h g^(-1.after 1.00 cycles at 1.A g^(-1..This study provides a feasible approach for the large-scale fabrication of aerogel functionalized separators to realize ultra-stable Zn metal batteries.

The d-d orbital coupling induced by crystal-phase engineering can effectively adjust the electronic structure of electrocatalysts,thus showing significant catalytic performance,while it has been rarely explored in electrochemical acetonitrile reduction reaction(ARR)to ***,we successfully realize the structural transformation of Pd Cu metallic aerogels(MAs)from face-centered cubic(FCC)to body-centered cubic(BCC)through annealing ***,the BCC Pd Cu MAs exhibit excellent ARR performance with high ethylamine selectivity of 90.91.,Faradaic efficiency of 88.60%,yield rate of 31..0 mmol h^(-1.g^(-1._(Pd+Cu)and long-term stability for consecutive electrolysis within 20 h at-0.55 V *** hydrogen electrode,outperforming than those of FCC Pd Cu *** the membrane electrode assembly system,BCC Pd Cu MAs also demonstrate excellent ethylamine yield rate of 389.5 mmol h^(-1.g^(-1._(Pd+Cu).Density functional theory calculation reveals that the d-d orbital coupling in BCC Pd Cu MAs results in an evident correlation effect for the interaction of Pd and Cu sites,which boosts up the Cu sites electronic activities to enhance ARR *** work opens a new route to develop efficient ARR electrocatalysts from the perspective of crystalline structure transformation.

Researching and manufacturing materials that possess both electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding and infrared stealth capabilities is of great ***,an ultrathin polyimide-based nonwoven fabric with low-reflection EMI shielding/infrared stealth performance is successfully fabricated by in-situ loading of Fe_(3)O_(4)/Ag nanoparticles on the surface of polyimide(PI)fiber(PFA),and followed by bonding with a commercial Cu/Ni *** synergistic assembly of PFA and Cu/Ni promotes the rational construction of hierarchical impedance matching,inducing electromagnetic waves(EMW)to enter the composite and be dissipated as much as ***,the existence of Cu/Ni mesh on back of PFA facilitates the formation of electromagnetic resonance and destructive interference of EMW reflected from composite,leading to a lowerreflectivity(0.26)EMI shielding performance of 58 dB within 24–40 GHz at a thinner thickness(430μm).More importantly,the fluffy PFA nonwoven fabric and metal Cu/Ni mesh endow composite with good thermal insulation and low infrared emissivity,resulting in excellent infrared stealth performance in various *** a result,such excellent compatibility makes it possible to become a promising defense material to be applied in military tent for preventing electromagnetic and infrared radiation.

Skin-attachable electronics have garnered considerable research attention in health monitoring and artificial intelligence domains,whereas susceptibility to elec-tromagnetic interference(EMI),heat accumulation issues,and ultraviolet(UV)-induced aging problems pose significant constraints on their potential ***,an ultra-elas-tic,highly breathable,and thermal-comfortable epidermal sensor with exceptional UV-EMI shielding performance and remarkable thermal conductivity is developed for high-fidelity monitoring of multiple human electrophysiological *** filling the elastomeric microfibers with thermally conductive boron nitride nanoparticles and bridging the insulating fiber interfaces by plating Ag nanoparticles(NPs),an interwoven thermal con-ducting fiber network(0.72 W m^(-1. K^(-1.)is constructed benefiting from the seamless thermal interfaces,facilitating unimpeded heat dissipation for comfort skin *** excitingly,the elastomeric fiber substrates simultaneously achieve outstanding UV protection(UPF=1.3.1.and EMI shielding(SET>65,X-band)capabilities owing to the high electrical conductivity and surface plasmon resonance of Ag ***,an electronic textile prepared by printing liquid metal on the UV-EMI shielding and thermally conductive nonwoven textile is finally utilized as an advanced epidermal sensor,which succeeds in monitoring different electrophysiological signals under vigorous electromagnetic *** research paves the way for developing protective and environmentally adaptive epidermal electronics for next-generation health regulation.
