In the last two decades,research on distributed filtering and control(FAC)has burgeoned into large-scale complex networks and systems.A distributed networked system,typically composed of a number of cost-effective dynamical nodes(agents)with limited sensing,computing,and communication capabilities,is gaining considerable popularity due to its low power consumption,simple installation,high performance,and strong reliability,as compared with the centralized setting.As a result,various networkinduced FAC systems,techniques,and algorithms have emerged,including node registration and control,network consensus and synchronization,multi-sensor data clustering/fusion,network topological design and analysis,and the like.

Cognitive diagnosis is the judgment of the student’s cognitive ability, is a wide-spread concern in educational science. The cognitive diagnosis model (CDM) is an essential method to realize cognitive diagnosis measurement. This paper presents new research on the cognitive diagnosis model and introduces four individual aspects of probability-based CDM and deep learning-based CDM. These four aspects are higher-order latent trait, polytomous responses, polytomous attributes, and multilevel latent traits. The paper also sorts on the contained ideas, model structures and respective characteristics, and provides direction for developing cognitive diagnosis in the future.

Mode decision-maker is a critical component in the logic-based Integrated Estimation and Guidance(IEG) system. For the best possible estimation and guidance performance, the mode decision delay of the mode decision-maker should be limited to a range as small as possible. This paper presents a numerical method for computing the maximal admissible mode decision delay that varies with time-to-go. Particular attention has been paid to highly maneuvering target interception in terminal guidance. The results of this research offer useful guidelines for the design of the mode decision-maker in IEG systems.

Periodontitis patients are at risk of alveolar bone loss during orthodontic treatment.The aim of this study was to investigate whether intermittent parathyroid hormone(1–34)treatment(iPTH)could reduce alveolar bone loss during orthodontic tooth movement(OTM)in individuals with periodontitis and the underlying mechanism.A rat model of OTM in the context of periodontitis was established and alveolar bone loss was observed.The control,iPTH and iPTH+stattic groups received injections of vehicle,PTH and vehicle,or PTH and the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)inhibitor stattic,respectively.iPTH prevented alveolar bone loss by enhancing osteogenesis and suppressing bone resorption in the alveolar bone during OTM in rats with periodontitis.This effect of iPTH was along with STAT3 activation and reduced by a local injection of stattic.iPTH promoted osteoblastic differentiation and might further regulate the Wnt/β-catenin pathway in a STAT3-dependent manner.The findings of this study suggest that iPTH might reduce alveolar bone loss during OTM in rats with periodontitis through STAT3/β-catenin crosstalk.

Alginate,an acidic polysaccharide,is formed byβ-D-mannuronate(M)andα-L-guluronate(G).As a type of polysaccharide lyase,alginate lyase can efficiently degrade alginate into alginate oligosaccharides,having potential applications in the food,medicine,and agriculture fields.However,the application of alginate lyase has been limited due to its low catalytic efficiency and poor temperature stability.In recent years,various structural features of alginate lyase have been determined,resulting in modification strategies that can increase the applicability of alginate lyase,making it important to summarize and discuss the current evidence.In this review,we summarized the structural features and catalytic mechanisms of alginate lyase.Molecular modification strategies,such as rational design,directed evolution,conserved domain recombination,and non-catalytic domain truncation,are also described in detail.Lastly,the application of alginate lyase is discussed.This comprehensive summary can inform future applications of alginate lyases.

Highly stretchable and sensitive strain sensor based on silver nanowires/carbon nanotubes on hair band for human motion detection

In this work, a highly stretchable and sensitive strain sensor using silver nanowires(Ag NWs)/multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) on hair band is proposed. The fabrication process of such sensors enabled scalable and facile production with low cost by dipping hair band into Ag NWs/MWCNTs composites suspension. The sensing performance of the sensors was optimized by tuning the Ag NWs/MWCNTs mass ratio. The hair band based strain sensor with Ag NWs/MWCNTs mass ratio of 30 exhibited the best performance with high sensitivity of 416.0 and good stretchability up to 70%. Moreover, great repeatability and long-term stability could be achieved over 7500 cycles of stretch-release. This Ag NWs/MWCNTs-hair band sensor can be used for monitoring human motions and swallowing action.

Sustainable energy is the key issue for the environment protection,human activity and economic development.Ionic liquids(ILs)and deep eutectic solvents(DESs)are dogmatically regarded as green and sustainable electrolytes in lithium-ion,lithium-metal(e.g.,lithium-sulphur,lithium-oxygen)and post-lithium-ion(e.g.,sodium-ion,magnesium-ion,and aluminum-ion)batteries.High electrochemical stability of ILs/DESs is one of the prerequisites for green,sustainable and safe energy;while easy electrochemical decomposition of ILs/DESs would be contradictory to the concept of green chemistry by adding the cost,releasing volatile/hazardous by-products and hindering the recyclability.However,(1)are ILs/DESs-based electrolytes really electrochemically stable when they are not used in batteries?(2)are ILs/DESs-based electrolytes really electrochemically stable in real batteries?(3)how to design ILs/DESs-based electrolytes with high electrochemical stability for batteries to achieve sustainability and green development?Up to now,there is no summary on this topic,to the best of our knowledge.Here,we review the effect of chemical structure and non-structural factors on the electrochemical stability of ILs/DESs in simulated conditions.More importantly,electrochemical stability of ILs/DESs in real lithium-ion,lithium-metal and post-lithium-ion batteries is concluded and compared.Finally,the strategies to improve the electrochemical stability of ILs/DESs in lithium-ion,lithium-metal and post-lithium-ion batteries are proposed.This review would provide a guide to design ILs/DESs with high electrochemical stability for lithium-ion,lithium-metal and postlithium-ion batteries to achieve sustainable and green energy.

Reduction of Low-grade Manganese Dioxide Ore Pellets by Biomass Wheat Stalk

An investigation on reducing low-grade manganese dioxide ore pellets was carried out by using wheat stalk as reductant. The main impact factors of reduction percent such as particle size, biomass/ore ratio, heating rate, nitrogen flow rate, temperature and time in reduction process were discussed. The morphology and component of manganese dioxide ore particle at different stages were also analyzed by scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDS）. The results show the increase of the reduction temperature and time, biomass/ore ratio, and the decrease of particle size, heating rate and nitrogen flow rate can significantly enhance reduction efficiency. The reduction kinetic of the manganese ore is controlled by three-dimensional mass diffusion of gaseous reductive volatiles passing from the surface to the core of the ore particles. The activation energy E and frequency factor A were calculated to be 24.15 kJ.mol^-1 and 166 min^-1, respectively. Biomass pyrolysis volatiles adsorbed onto the surface of the ore particle leads to serious variation of the microstructures and chemical composition of the manganese ore particles.
