Dual-Mode Colorimetric and Fluorescent Detection of Tumor Cells Based on Gold Nanoparticles-Loaded Phosphine Covalent Organic Frameworks

Circulating tumor cells(CTCs) are important markers for cancer. The part of tumor cells that are detached from the primary tumor or metastatic tumor and enter the blood circulation is called CTCs. It is crucial to develop a rapid, accurate, and easy-to-implement diagnostic system for CTCs for early tumor diagnosis and for monitoring progression of the disease. In this work, we reported a colorimetric and fluorescent dual-mode assay for the detection of CTCs. Our assay used magnetic nanoparticles and aptamer for CTCs capture and gold nanoparticles-loaded covalent organic frameworks(Au@COFs) for signal amplification, respectively. The magnetic nanoparticles were modified with folic acid to capture CTCs by interaction between folic acid and the folate receptor overexpressed on the surface of tumor cells. The covalent organic frameworks were engineered to have both nitro-reductase-like and glucose–oxidase-like activities. The nitro-reductase-like activity converted the substrate p-nitrophenol to p-nitroaniline for colorimetric detection, and the glucose-oxidase-like activity enabled fluorescence detection. Specifically, Au@COFs catalyzed glucose oxidation and generated hydrogen peroxide to oxidize Fe 2+to Fe 3+, which converted MIL(Al)-MOF to MIL(Fe)-MOF through ion exchange, resulting in the fluorescence quenching of MIL(Al)-MOF. Our assay showed high sensitivity with a detection limit of 17 cells/mL using MCF-7 cells as model cancer cells. This work provided an e fficient and ultrasensitive strategy for CTCs detection and has potential applications in cancer identification and diagnosis. Dual-mode detection system, combining colorimetric and fluorescent signals, integration of magnetic nanoparticles and aptamers for CTC capture, and utilization of covalent organic frameworks loaded with gold nanoparticles for signal amplification can improve sensitivity and accuracy.

Federated learning-based lightweight selective feature fusion and irregular-aware network for crack detection

Employing deep learning for pavement crack detection can significantly enhance accuracy， and federated learning can help to overcome the challenges of data silos and data security. This paper proposes a lightweight method to detect cracks. We use lightweight encoder modules to extract multi-scale features， and further feature fusion and modelling by Selective Fusion Blocks and Irregular-aware Blocks. Moreover， this method is the first to combine federated learning with crack detection， effectively resolving the tension between data privacy and data sharing in decentralised devices. Experiments were conducted to compare our proposed method with other crack detection methods on two publicly available datasets， including the original method without federated learning and five state-of-the-art methods combined with the same federated learning framework. The experiment proves that our model obtains comparable F1 score with minimal parameters and computational effort. For example， compared to the original method， the number of parameters and computation are reduced by 67.1% and 73.6%， respectively.

Effects of mesoscale gravity waves on sporadic E simulated by a one-dimensional dynamic model

In addition to being driven by tidal winds,the sporadic E(Es)layers are modulated by gravity waves(GWs),although the effects are not yet comprehensively *** this article,we discuss the effects of mesoscale GWs on the Es layers determined by using a newly developed model,MISE-1D(one-dimensional Model of Ionospheric Sporadic E),with low numerical dissipation and high *** by the wind fields resolved by the high-resolution version of the Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model with thermosphere and ionosphere extension(WACCM-X),the MISE-1D simulation revealed that GWs significantly influence the evolution of the Es layer above 100 km but have a very limited effect at lower *** effects of GWs are diverse and complex,generally including the generation of fluctuating wavelike structures on the Es layer with frequencies similar to those of the *** mesoscale GWs can also cause increases in the density of Es layers,or they can disperse or diffuse the Es layers and increase their *** addition,the presence of GWs is a key factor in sustaining the Es layers in some cases.

基于SVMD-PSR-MNF的海洋MT数据噪声压制方法

海洋大地电磁法是一种天然源方法,其采集的大地电磁信号具有场强微弱、易受干扰等特点.在浅水环境下,海浪运动引起的复杂强烈的感应电磁场是大地电磁信号主要干扰源,极大降低了大地电磁数据的信噪比,致使视电阻率和相位畸变.针对这种复杂的强能量噪声,本文提出SVMD-PSR-MNF方法对其进行压制.通过连续变分模态分解(Successive Variational Mode Decomposition, SVMD)实现噪声预估计,然后利用相空间重构(Phase Space Reconstruction,PSR)将时间序列转化为矩阵,在此基础上,结合最小噪声分离(Minimum Noise Fraction,MNF)将含噪MT数据分解为一系列MNF成分,最后通过MNF成分的选取重构实现信噪分离.针对实测数据去噪效果评价难的问题,本文基于大地电磁信号的非平稳特性和海浪感应磁噪声的周期性,提出基于自相关函数(Autocorrelation Function,ACF)的去噪效果评价方法.为了验证提出方法的有效性,将其应用于合成数据和南黄海实测数据的处理中.本文基于一维各向异性模型模拟连续频谱的MT信号,并采用三维随机海浪感应磁场公式合成符合实际情况的含噪MT数据.合成数据和南黄海实测数据的处理结果表明,SVMD-PSR-MNF方法可在压制噪声的同时较好地恢复有效信号,校正噪声导致的视电阻率和相位的畸变,提高MT数据质量;ACF可评价海浪感应磁噪声的压制效果.

Superhydrophobic and corrosion-resistant siloxane-modified MgAl-LDHs coatings on magnesium alloy prepared under mild conditions

We have developed a superhydrophobic and corrosion-resistant LDH-W/PFDTMS composite coating on the surface of Mg *** composite comprised a tungstate-intercalated(LDH-W)underlayer that was grown at low temperature(relative to hydrothermal reaction conditions)under atmospheric pressure and an outer polysiloxane layer created from a solution containing perfluorodecyltrimethoxysilane(PFDTMS)using a simple immersion *** successful intercalation of tungstate into the LDH phase and the following formation of the polysiloxane layer were confirmed through X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The corrosion resistance of the LDH-W film,both before and after the PFDTMS modification,was evaluated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),Tafel curves,and immersion *** results showed that Mg coated with LDH-W/PFDTMS exhibited significantly enhanced corrosion protection compared to the unmodified LDHW film,with no apparent signs of corrosion after exposure to 3.5wt%NaCl solution for 15 ***,the LDH-W/PFDTMS coating demonstrated superior superhydrophobicity and self-cleaning properties against water and several common beverages,as confirmed by static contact angle and water-repellency *** results offer valuable insights into preparing superhydrophobic and corrosion-resistant LDH-based composite coatings on Mg alloy surfaces under relatively mild reaction conditions.

Catalytic detoxification of mitoxantrone by graphitic carbon nitride(g-C_(3)N_(4))supported Fe/Pd bimetallic nanoparticles

The overuse of antibiotics and antitumor drugs has resulted in more and more extensive pollution of water bodies with organic drugs,causing detrimental ecological effects,which have attracted attention towards effective and sustainable methods for antibiotics and antitumor drug ***,the hybrid nanomaterial(g-C_(3)N_(4)@Fe/Pd)was synthesized and used to remove a kind of both an antibiotic and antitumor drug named mitoxantrone(MTX)with 92.0%removal efficiency,and the MTX removal capacity is 450 mg/*** exposing to the hybrid material the MTX aqueous solution changed color from dark blue to lighter progressively,and LC-UV results of residual solutions showthat a newpeak at 3.0min(MTX:13.2min)after removal by g-C_(3)N_(4)@Fe/Pd appears,with the simultaneous detection of intermediate products indicating that g-C_(3)N_(4)@Fe/Pd indeed degrades *** mass spectrometric analysis suggests that the nuclear mass ratio decreased from 445.2(M+1H)to 126.0(M+1H),169.1(M+1H),239.2(M+1H),267.3(M+1H),285.2(M+1H),371.4(M+1H)and 415.2(M+1H),and the maximum proportion(5.63%)substance of all degradation products(126.0(M+1H))is 40-100 times less toxic than MTX.A mechanism for the removal and degradation of mitoxantrone was ***,actual water experiments confirmed that the maximum removal capacity of MTX by g-C_(3)N_(4)@Fe/Pd is up to 492.4 mg/g(0.02 g/L,10 ppm).

Mercury(Hg)pollution has been a global concern in recent decades,posing a significant threat to entire ecosystems and human health due to its cumulative toxicity,persistence,and transport in the *** intense interaction between mercury and selenium has opened up a new field for studying mercury removal from industrial flue gas *** the advantages of good Hg0 capture performance and lowsecondary pollution of the mineral selenium compounds,the most noteworthy is the relatively low regeneration temperature,allowing adsorbent regeneration with low energy consumption,thus reducing the utilization cost and enabling recovery of mercury *** paper reviews the recent progress of mineral selenium compounds in flue gas mercury removal,introduces in detail the different types ofmineral selenium compounds studied in the field ofmercury removal,reviews the adsorption performance of various mineral selenium compounds adsorbents on mercury and the influence of flue gas components,such as reaction temperature,air velocity,and other factors,and summarizes the adsorption mechanism of different fugitive forms of selenium *** on the current research progress,future studies should focus on the economic performance and the performance of different carriers and sizes of adsorbents for the removal of Hg0 and the correlation between the gas-particle flow characteristics and gas phase mass transfer with the performance of Hg0 removal in practical industrial *** addition,it remains a challenge to distinguish the oxidation and adsorption of Hg0 quantitatively.

Constructing Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)-MXene-based gradient woodpile structure by direct ink writing 3D printing for efficient microwave absorption

As a novel 2D material,Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)-MXene has become a major area of interest in the field of microwave absorption(MA).However,the MA effect of common Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)-MXene is not prominent and often requires complex processes or combinations of other ma-terials to achieve enhanced *** this context,a kind of gradient woodpile structure using common Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)-MXene as MA ma-terial was designed and manufactured through direct ink writing(DIW)3D *** minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))of the Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)-MXene-based gradient woodpile structures with a thickness of less than 3 mm can reach-70 dB,showing considerable improve-ment compared with that of a completely filled *** addition,the effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)reaches 7.73 *** study demonstrates that a Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)-MXene material with excellent MA performance and tunable frequency band can be successfully fab-ricated with a macroscopic structural design and through DIW 3D printing without complex material hybridization and modification,of-fering broad application prospects by reducing electromagnetic wave radiation and interference.

Protein arginine methyltransferase-6 regulates heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein-F expression and is a potential target for the treatment of neuropathic pain

Protein arginine methyltransferase-6 participates in a range of biological functions,particularly RNA processing,transcription,chromatin remodeling,and endosomal ***,it remains unclear whether protein arginine methyl transferase-6 modifies neuropathic pain and,if so,what the mechanisms of this *** this study,protein arginine methyltransferase-6 expression levels and its effect on neuropathic pain were investigated in the spared nerve injury model,chronic constriction injury model and bone cancer pain model,using immunohistochemistry,western blotting,immunoprecipitation,and label-free proteomic *** results showed that protein arginine methyltransferase-6 mostly co-localized withβ-tubulinⅢin the dorsal root ganglion,and that its expression decreased following spared nerve injury,chronic constriction injury and bone cancer *** addition,PRMT6 knockout(Prmt6~(-/-))mice exhibited pain ***,the development of spared nerve injury-induced hypersensitivity to mechanical pain was attenuated by blocking the decrease in protein arginine methyltransferase-6 ***,when protein arginine methyltransferase-6 expression was downregulated in the dorsal root ganglion in mice without spared nerve injury,increased levels of phosphorylated extracellular signal-regulated kinases were observed in the ipsilateral dorsal horn,and the response to mechanical stimuli was ***,protein arginine methyltransferase-6 appeared to contribute to spared nerve injury-induced neuropathic pain by regulating the expression of heterogeneous nuclear ***,protein arginine methyltransfe rase-6-mediated modulation of hete rogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein-F expression required amino atids 319 to 388,but not classical H3R2 *** findings indicated that protein arginine methyltransferase-6 is a potential therapeutic target fo r the treatment of peripheral neuro pathic pain.
