The development of alloys with high antioxidation performance is limited by the ambiguous details of the oxidation ***,based on the structures of internal oxides detected by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy,a hybrid method combining first-principles calculation,climb image nudged elastic band method and quasi-harmonic Debye model has been implemented to explain the oxidation mechanism with an emphasis on the origin of delamination and *** results showed that the delamination of oxides corresponds to the acceleration of diffusion of Cr element caused by lamellar *** reduction in the cracking occurrence at high temperature mainly results from the smaller bulk modulus of ***,the stronger chemical bonds promoted by lamellar structures also correspond to the higher crackingresistance.

Mapping QTLs with epistatic effects and QTL×environment interactions for plant height using a doubled haploid population in cultivated wheat

Quantitative trait loci （QTLs） for plant height in wheat （Triticum aestivum L.） were studied using a set of 168 doubled haploid （DH） lines, which were derived from the cross Huapei 3/Yumai 57. A genetic linkage map was constructed using 283 SSR and 22 EST-SSR markers. The DH population and the parents were evaluated for wheat plant height in 2005 and 2006 in Tai＇an and 2006 in Suzhou. QTL analyses were performed using the software of QTLNetwork version 2.0 based on the mixed linear model. Four additive QTLs and five pairs of epistatic effects were detected, which were distributed on chromosomes 3A, 4B, 4D, 5A, 6A, 7B, and 7D. Among them, three additive QTLs and three pairs of epistatic QTLs showed QTL×environment interactions （QEs）. Two major QTLs, Qph4B and Qph4D, which accounted for 14.51% and 20.22% of the phenotypic variation, were located similar to the reported locations of the dwarfing genes Rhtl and Rht2, respectively. The Qph3A-2 with additive effect was not reported in previous linkage mapping studies. The total QTL effects detected for the plant height explained 85.04% of the phenotypic variation, with additive effects 46.07%, epistatic effects 19.89%, and QEs 19.09%. The results showed that both additive effects and epistatic effects were important genetic bases of wheat plant height, which were subjected to environmental modifications, and caused dramatic changes in phenotypic effects. The information obtained in this study will be useful for manipulating the QTLs for wheat plant height by molecular marker-assisted selection （MAS）.

The study of nuclear mass is very important,and the neural network(NN)approach can be used to improve the prediction of nuclear mass for various *** the number of valence nucleons of protons and neutrons separately in the input quantity of the NN model,the root-mean-square deviation of binding energy between data from AME2016 and liquid drop model calculations for 2314 nuclei was reduced from 2.385 MeV to 0.203 *** addition,some defects in the Weizsacker-Skyrme(WS)-type model were repaired,which well reproduced the two-neutron separation energy of the nucleus synthesized recently by RIKEN RI Beam Factory[***.125,(2020)122501].The masses of some of the new nuclei appearing in the latest atomic mass evaluation(AME2020)are also well ***,the results of neural network methods for predicting the description of regions far from known atomic nuclei need to be further *** study shows that such a statistical model can be a tool for systematic searching of nuclei beyond existing experimental data.

The center of the stability island of super-heavy nuclei(SHN)is the subject of intense experimental and theoretical investigations and has potential technological applications.^(298)^(114) Fl lies in the Z=114 isotopic chain as a persuasive candidate of the spherical double-magic nucleus in SHN,and in this study,the calculations of nuclear binding energies,one-nucleon and two-nucleon separation energies,a-decay energies,and the corresponding halflives provide strong evidence for this *** calculations within an improved Weizsacker-Skyrme nuclear mass model(WS*)were performed and compared with the calculations of the finite-range droplet model(FRDM2012)and experimental data for Z=114 isotopes and N=184 ***,the corresponding single-particle levels in a Woods-Saxon potential well with a spin-orbit term are calculated,which can be used as a powerful indicator to identify the shell effects existing *** the study of the properties of the isotopic chain and microphysical quantities provide a vital signal that ^(298)^(114) Fl is a spherical double-magic nucleus and also the center of the SHN.

Corrosion behavior and characteristics of the product film of API X100 steel in acidic simulated soil solution

The short-term corrosion behavior of API X100 steel in an acidic simulated soil was investigated by electrochemical measurements and soaking experiments,followed by corrosion morphology observations and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy *** results show that X100 steel exhibits an obvious pitting susceptibility in an acidic soil *** nucleate after approximately 10 h of *** with the nucleation and growth of the pits,the charge-transfer resistance and open-circuit potential first increase sharply,then decrease slowly,and eventually reach a steady *** maxima of the charge-transfer resistance and open-circuit potential are attained at approximately 10 *** evolution of the electrochemical process is confirmed by the analysis of the product *** product film exhibits a porous and loose structure and could not protect the substrate *** product film is primarily composed of ferrous carbonate and ferrous hydroxide（Fe（OH）2）.The concentration of Fe（OH）2 in the product film increases from the inside to the outside layer.

A nuclear mass formula based on the macroscopic microscopic approach is proposed,in which the number of model parameters is reduced compared with other macroscopic microscopic *** root mean square(RMS)deviation with respect to 2314 training sets(measured nuclear masses)is reduced to 0.447 MeV,and the calculated value of each nucleus is no more than 0.8%different from the experimental *** single and two nucleon separation energies and the shell gaps are calculated to test the *** shell corrections and double magic number of superheavy nuclei are also analyzed.

The Steel Catenary Riser(SCR)is a vital component for transporting oil and gas from the seabed to the floating *** harsh environmental conditions and complex platform motion make the SCR’s girth-weld prone to fatigue *** structural stress fatigue theory and Master S-N curve method provide accurate predictions for the fatigue damage on the welded joints,which demonstrate significant potential and compatibility in multi-axial and random fatigue ***,we propose a new frequency fatigue model subjected to welded joints of SCR under multiaxial stress,which fully integrates the mesh-insensitive structural stress and frequency domain random process and transforms the conventional welding fatigue technique of SCR into a spectrum analysis technique utilizing structural ***,a full-scale FE model of SCR with welds is established to obtain the modal structural stress of the girth weld and the frequency response function(FRF)of modal coordinate,and a biaxial fatigue evaluation about the girth weld of the SCR can be achieved by taking the effects of multi-load correlation and pipe-soil interaction into *** research results indicate that the frequency-domain fatigue results are aligned with the time-domain results,meeting the fatigue evaluation requirements of the SCR.

Dynamic infrared thermal camouflage technology has attracted extensive attention due to its ability to thermally conceal targets in various environmental backgrounds by tuning thermal *** use of phase change materials(PCMs)offers numerous advantages,including zero static power,rapid modulation rate,and large emissivity tuning ***,existing PCM solutions still encounter several practical application challenges,such as temperature uniformity,amorphization achievement,and adaptability to different *** this paper,we present the design of an electrically controlled metal-insulator-metal thermal emitter based on a PCM metasurface,and numerically investigate its emissivity tunability,physical mechanisms,heat conduction,and thermal camouflage performance across different ***,the influence of the quench rate on amorphization was studied to provide a guidance for evaluating and optimizing device *** results reveal that the thermal emitter exhibits a wide spectral emissivity tuning range between 8 and 14μm,considerable quench rates for achieving amorphization,and the ability to provide thermal camouflage across a wide background temperature ***,it is anticipated that this contribution will promote the development of PCM-based thermal emitters for practical dynamic infrared thermal camouflage technology with broad applications in both civilian and military domains.
