Anti-icing coatings on outdoor infrastructures inevitably suffer from mechanical injuries in numerous icing scenarios such as hailstorms,sandstorms,impacts of foreign objects,and icing–deicing ***,the mechanisms of surface-defect-induced icing are *** the defects,water molecules exhibit stronger adsorption and the heat transfer rate increases,accelerating the condensation of water vapor as well as ice nucleation and ***,the ice–defect interlocking structure increases the ice adhesion ***,a self-healing(at−20℃)antifreeze-protein(AFP)-inspired anti-icing coating is *** coating is based on a design that mimics the ice-binding and non-ice-binding sites in *** enables the coating to markedly inhibit ice nucleation(nucleation temperature<−29.4℃),prevent ice propagation(propagation rate<0.00048 cm^(2)/s),and reduce ice adhesion on the surface(adhesion strength<38.9 kPa).More importantly,the coating can also autonomously self-heal at−20℃,as a result of multiple dynamic bonds in its structure,to inhibit defect-induced icing *** healed coating sustains high anti-icing and deicing performance even under various extreme *** work reveals the in-depth mechanism of defect-induced ice formation as well as adhesion,and proposes a self-healing anti-icing coating for outdoor infrastructures.

The prediction of bathymetry has advanced significantly with the development of satellite ***,the majority of its data originate from marine gravity *** this study,based on the expression of vertical gravity gradient(VGG)of a rectangular prism,the governing equations for determining sea depths to invert *** governing equation is solved by linearization through an iterative process,and numerical simulations verify its algorithm and its *** also study the processing methods of different interference *** regularization method improves the stability of the inversion process for errors.A piecewise bilinear interpolation function roughly replaces the low-frequency error,and numerical simulations show that the accuracy can be improved by 41.2%after this *** variable ocean crust density,simulation simulations verify that the root-mean-square(RMS)error of prediction is approximately 5 m for the sea depth of 6 km if density is chosen as the average ***,two test regions in the South China Sea are predicted and compared with ship soundings data,RMS errors of predictions are 71.1 m and 91.4 m,respectively.

For training artificial neural network(ANN),big data either generated by machine or measured from experiments are used as input to"learn"the unspecified functions defining the *** experimental data are fed directly into the optimizer allowing training to be performed according to a predefined loss *** predict sliding friction and wear at mixed lubrication conditions,in this study a specific ANN structure was so designed that deep learning algorithms and data-driven optimization models can be *** ball-on-plate friction and wear data were analyzed using the specific training procedure to optimize the weights and biases incorporated into the neural layers of the ANN,and only two independent experimental data sets were used during the ANN optimization *** the training procedure,the ANN is capable to predict the contact and hydrodynamic pressure by adapting the output data according to the tribological condition implemented in the optimization algorithm.

Introduction It remains unclear whether enlarged perivascular spaces(EPVS)predict poor clinical outcomes in patients with acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)or transient ischaemic attack(TIA).Method Data were obtained from the Third China National Stroke Registry *** estimated EPVS in basal ganglia(BG)and centrum semiovale(CSO)using a semiquantified scale(Grade from 0 to 4).Using Cox and logistic regression analyses,the associations of EPVS with 3-month and 1-year adverse outcomes(including recurrent stroke,ischaemic stroke,haemorrhagic stroke,combined vascular event,disability and mortality)were *** analyses of any association of cerebral small vessel disease at baseline and development of a small arterial occlusion(SAO)were *** Among 12603 patients with AIS/TIA,median age was 61.7±11.6 years,and 68.2%were *** adjusting for all potential confounders,frequent-to-severe BG-EPVS was associated with a decreased risk of recurrent ischaemic stroke(HR 0.71,95%CI 0.55 to 0.92,p=0.01)but an increased risk of haemorrhagic stroke(HR 1.99,95%CI 1.11 to 3.58,p=0.02)at 1 year after AIS/TIA,compared with none-to-mild *** with frequent-to-severe CSO-EPVS had a decreased risk of disability(OR 0.76,95%CI 0.62 to 0.92,p=0.004)and all-cause death(HR 0.55,95%CI 0.31 to 0.98,p=0.04)within 3-month but not 1-year follow-ups,compared with those with none-to-mild *** analyses showed that both BG-EPVS(HR 0.43,95%CI 0.21 to 0.87,p=0.02)and CSO-EPVS(HR 0.58,95%CI 0.35 to 0.95,p=0.03)were associated with a decreased risk of subsequent ischaemic stroke in patients with SAO during 1-year *** BG-EPVS increased the risk of haemorrhagic stroke in patients already with AIS/TIA within 1 ***,caution is recommended when selecting antithrombotic agents for secondary stroke prevention in patients with AIS/TIA and more severe BG-EPVS.

The traditional high-level Green-Naghdi(HLGN)model,which uses the polynomial as the shape function to approximate the variation of the horizontal-and vertical-velocity components along the vertical direction for each-fluid layer,can accurately describe the large-amplitude internal waves in a two-layer system for the shallow configuration(h_(2)/λ■1,h_(1)/λ■1).However,for the cases of the deep configuration(h_(2)/λ■1,h_(1)/λ=O(1)),higher-order polynomial is needed to approximate the variation of the velocity components along the vertical direction for the lower-fluid ***,however,introduces additional unknowns,leading to a significant increase in computational *** paper,for the first time,derives a general form of the HLGN model for a two-layer fluid system,where the general form of the shape function is used during the *** obtaining the general form of the two-layer HLGN equations,corresponding solutions can be obtained by determining the reasonable shape ***-amplitude internal solitary waves in a deep configuration are studied by use of two different HLGN *** of the two HLGN models shows that the polynomial as the shape function for the upper-fluid layer and the production of exponential and polynomial as the shape function for the lower-fluid layer is a good *** comparing with Euler’s solutions and the laboratory measurements,the accuracy of the two-layer HLGN model is verified.

Perovskite oxides with diverse composition and structure have exhibited grand advances in boosting the oxygen reduction and evolution reaction(ORR/OER),which are essential for the reversible protonic ceramic electrochemical cell(R-PCEC)toward the sustainable hydrogen production and ***,enhancement of their activity and stability remains ***,we develop the Ta-regulated BaCo_(0.7)Fe_(0.3)O_(3-δ)perovskite oxygen electrode(Ba(Co_(0.7)Fe_(0.3))_(1-x)Ta_xO_(3-δ))with abundant oxygen defects and achieve the simultaneous enhancement in the electrocatalytic activity and stability toward ORR and ***-fabricated R-PCEC with(Ba(Co_(0.7)Fe_(0.3))_(0.9)Ta_(0.1)O_(3-δ))(BCFT10)oxygen electrode performs high power density of 1.47 W·cm^(-2)at 650℃in fuel cell mode,and the current density is up to-2.11 A·cm^(-2)at 1.4 V at 650℃in electrolysis mode,as well as the good stability in both the fuel cell and electrolysis ***,the cell also demonstrates a stable cycling operation between fuel cell and electrolysis mode,suggesting a great potential of BCFT10 as oxygen electrode material for R-PCECs.

The first passage time has many applications in fields like finance,econometrics,statistics,and ***,explicit formulas for the first passage density have only been obtained for a few *** paper derives an explicit formula for the first passage density of Brownian motion with twosided piecewise continuous boundaries which may have some points of *** are used to obtain a simplified formula for estimating the first passage ***,the results are also generalized to the case of two-sided general nonlinear *** can be easily carried out with Monte Carlo method and it is demonstrated for several typical two-sided boundaries that the proposed approximation method offers a highly accurate approximation of first passage density.

Described here is a divergent,biosynthetically inspired synthesis of cochlearol B and ganocin *** steps of the synthesis include the chromene unit construction through a biomimetic acid-catalyzed[4+2]ring cyclization.A photochemical[2+2]cycloaddition was featured to construct the cyclobutane core of cochlearol *** skeletal rearrangements of cochlearol B afforded ganocin A,that one of them was Lewis acid mediated epoxide rearrangement and another was DDQ induced cyclobutane formed tetrahydrofuran *** described syntheses not only achieved these natural products in an efficient manner,but also provided insight into the biosynthetic relationship between the two different skeletons.

Diradical polycyclic hydrocarbons(PHs)have unique open-shell structures and interesting physical ***,owing to high reactivity of unpaired electrons,such open-shell organic diradicaloids are usually less stable than closed-shell systems,limiting their practical *** this study,we report P=O-attaching of diradical PHs as a new strategy to enhance their stability while maintaining diradi-cal *** P=O-attached PHs containing the indeno[1,2-b]fluorene,fluoreno[3,2-b]fluorene and indeno[2,1-b]fluoreneπ-skeletons,respectively,were designed and *** theoretically and ex-perimentally proved,two of them have the relatively large diradical characters and open-shell singlet diradical *** comparison to their all-carbon analogues,the attached electron-withdrawing P=O groups endow them with much lower LUMO/HOMO energy levels but preserved magnetic activities and physical properties,such as thermally accessible triplet species and multi-redox ***,the P=O groups effectively decrease their oxidation activities and thereby lead to their remarkably excellent ambient ***,this P=O-attaching strategy will be applicable to other diradical PH systems and may promote the generation of stable organic diradicaloids for radical chemistry and materials.
