Real-time graphics processing is all along a crucial task of mobile device, and it is conventionally supported by programmable graphics processing unit(GPU). These GPUs are designed to flexibly support vertex and pixel processing with classic techniques such as on-chip cache and dynamic programmable pipelining. However, it is difficult for the vertex shader and pixel shader to achieve high utilization of hardware resources, even though there is a certain balance by reasonable processor quantity ratio. In this paper, a unified render shader with a very long instruction word(VLIW) processor was designed. The viewport transformation algorithm and the Mipmap mapping algorithm are respectively mapped on the shader, with the purpose of providing an energy-efficient and flexible hardware platform for graphics processing in mobile device. The implemented operating frequency is up to 134 MHz on Xilinx XC7 Z045-2-FFG900 field programmable gate array(FPGA), and unified architecture shader has a performance of 134 Mpixels/s in pixel fill rate, 546 Mtexels/s in texel fill rate.

Microplastics(MPs)have become a significant concern for their potential ***,the correlation between the size of plastic particles and their toxicity remains ***,we investigate the toxic effects of different sizes(80 nm,800 nm,8μm and 80μm)polystyrene MPs(PS-MPs)on the model organism Nile tilapia(Oreochromis niloticus).The results of bioluminescent imaging indicate that the 80 nm PS-MPs are more likely to invade the body.H&E staining shows severe damage on the intestinal villi and distinct hepatic steatosis in the 80 nm *** U labeling shows that the proliferation activity of intestinal and liver cells reduces significantly in the 80 nm *** gut microbiome analysis shows a severe imbalance of gut microbiota homeostasis in the 80 nm *** analysis of liver transcriptomics and metabolomics shows that the liver lipid metabolism is disordered in the 80 nm *** conclusion,this study confirms that the 80 nm PS-MPs are more likely to induce intestinal and liver *** the above lay the foundation for further study on the pathological damage of MPs to other organisms.

A new gold(I)self-relay catalysis consisting of a 3,3-rearrangement,Nazarov cyclization and Michael addition cascade of 1,3-enyne acetates with aurones and their derived azadienes is reported,and used to produce a series of densely functionalized cyclopentenones bearing a cyclic quaternary stereocenter in moderate to good yields under mild *** tandem protocol demonstrates high regioselectivity,broad substrate flexibility and good functional group tolerance of substrates without inert atmosphere protection,providing a catalytic and convergent approach for creating all-carbon stereoscopic centers.

Based on the energy conversion of light into sound,photoacoustic computed tomography(PACT)is an emerging biomedical imaging modality and has unique applications in a range of biomedical *** PACT,image formation relies on a process called acoustic inversion from received photoacoustic *** most PACT systems perform this inversion with a basic assumption that biological tissues are acoustically homogeneous,the community gradually rea-lizes that the intrinsic acoustic heterogeneity of tissues could pose distortions and artifacts to finally formed *** paper surveys the most recent research progress on acoustic het-erogeneity correction in *** major strategies are reviewed in detail,including half-time or partial-time reconstruction,autofocus reconstruction by optimizing sound speed maps,joint reconstruction of optical absorption and sound speed maps,and ultrasound computed tomog-raphy(USCT)enhanced *** correction of acoustic heterogeneity helps improve the imaging performance of PACT.

This study aims to elucidate the mechanism of lipid metabolism disorder in intrauterine growth retardation(IUGR)pigs and the potential alleviating effects of dimethylglycine sodium salt(DMG-Na).A total of 60 male newborn piglets were selected for this *** each litter,one normal birth weight(NBW)male piglet(1.53±0.04 kg)and two IUGR male piglets(0.76±0.06 kg)were chosen based on their birth *** piglets were divided into three groups for the study:NBW pigs received a PBS gavage and a common basal diet(NBW-C group),IUGR pigs received the same PBS gavage and common basal diet(IUGR-C group),and IUGR pigs received a 70-mg DMG-Na gavage along with a common basal diet supplemented with 0.1%DMG-Na(IUGR-D group).At 150 d of age,all piglets underwent euthanasia by exsanguination following electrical stunning,after which plasma,liver,and longissimus dorsi(LM)samples were promptly *** IUGR-D group demonstrated improvements in plasma parameters(P<0.05),with lower triglyceride and free fatty acid(FFA)values,and hormone levels(P<0.05),with lower growth hormone,insulin,and homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance *** of lipid metabolism was observed(P<0.05),with lower triglyceride and FFA,and higher hepatic lipase and total lipase values in the liver,and lower triglyceride and FFA values in the *** ETC complexes showed increased levels(P<0.05),including higher complex III values in the liver,and higher complex I,complex III,and complex V values in the *** levels of energy metabolites were noted(P<0.05),with higher NAD^(+),NAD^(+)/NADH,adenosine triphosphate,and mtDNA values,and lower NADH values in the liver and ***,meat quality parameters showed improvement(P<0.05),with higher pH 24 h and a^(*)values,and lower drip loss 48 h,L^(*),and b^(*)*** expressions of lipid metabolism and mitochondrial function-related genes and proteins were upregulated(P<0.05)compared to the IUGR-C *** conclusio

In this review we have summarized some recent results mainly reported by our group that focused on the development of smart gating nanochannels based on polymer films. These nanochannels were prepared using a track-etch process. The responsive materials/molecules and modification methods/techniques have also been demonstrated, from which we have obtained a series of smart gating nanochannels that can respond to single/dual external stimuli, e.g., pH, ion, temperature, light, and so on. These studies utilize responsive behaviors to regulate ionic transport properties inside a single nanochannel and demonstrate the fea-sibility of designing other smart nanodevices in the future.

This work reports the use of defect engineering and carbon supporting to achieve metal-doped phosphides with high activities and stabilities for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)in alkaline ***,the nitrogen-doped carbon nanofiber-supported Ni-doped CoP_(3) with rich P defects(Pv·)on the carbon cloth(p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC)is synthesized through a plasma-assisted phosphorization *** p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC is an efficient and stable catalyst for the HER and the *** only needs overpotentials of 107 and 306 mV to drive 100 mA cm^(-2) for the HER and the OER,*** catalytic activities are higher than those of other catalysts reported *** high activities of the p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC mainly arise from its peculiar structural *** density functional theory calculation indicates that the Pv·richness,the Ni doping,and the carbon supporting can optimize the adsorption of the H atoms at the catalyst surface and promote the strong electronic couplings between the carbon nanofiber-supported p-NiCoP with the surface oxide layer formed during the OER *** gives the p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC with the high activities for the HER and the *** used in alkaline water electrolyzers,the p-NiCoP/NCFs@CC shows the superior activity and excellent stability for overall water splitting.

Phloretin is an important skin-lightening and depigmenting agent from the peel of apples. Although de novo production of phloretin has been realized in microbes using the natural pathway from plants, the efficiency of phloretin production is still not enough for industrial application. Here, we established an artificial pathway in the yeast to produce phloretin via assembling two genes of p-coumaroyl-CoA ligase(4CL) and chalcone synthase(CHS). CHS is a key enzyme which conventionally condenses a CoA-tethered starter with three molecules of malonyl-CoA to form the backbone of flavonoids. However, there was 33% of byproduct generated via CHS by condensing two molecules of malonyl-CoA during the fermentation process. Hence, we introduced a more efficient CHS and improved the supply of malonyl-CoA through two pathways;the by-product ratio was decreased from 33% to 17% and the production of phloretin was improved from 48 to 83.2 mg L^(-1). Finally, a fed-batch fermentation process was optimized and the production of phloretin reached 619.5 mg L^(-1), which was 14-fold higher than that of the previous studies. Our work established a platform for the biosynthesis of phloretin from the low-cost raw material 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl) propanoic acid and also illustrated the potential for industrial scale bio-manufacturing of phloretin.
