Lightweight aluminum(Al)alloys have been widely used in frontier fields like aerospace and automotive industries,which attracts great interest in additive manufacturing(AM)to process high-value Al *** a mainstream AM technique,laser-directed energy deposition(LDED)shows good scalability to meet the requirements for large-format component manufacturing and ***,LDED Al alloys are highly challenging due to their inherent poor printability(*** laser absorption,high oxidation sensitivity and cracking tendency).To further promote the development of LDED high-performance Al alloys,this review offers a deep understanding of the challenges and strategies to improve printability in LDED Al *** porosity,cracking,distortion,inclusions,element evaporation and resultant inferior mechanical properties(worse than laser powder bed fusion)are the key challenges in LDED Al *** parameter optimizations,in-situ alloy design,reinforcing particle addition and field assistance are the efficient approaches to improving the printability and performance of LDED Al *** underlying correlations between processes,alloy innovation,characteristic microstructures,and achievable performances in LDED Al alloys are *** benchmark mechanical properties and primary strengthening mechanism of LDED Al alloys are *** review aims to provide a critical and in-depth evaluation of current progress in LDED Al *** opportunities and perspectives in LDED high-performance Al alloys are also outlined.

Inhibition of Defect-Induced Ice Nucleation, Propagation, and Adhesion by Bioinspired Self-Healing Anti-Icing Coatings

A privacy-preserving vehicle trajectory clustering framework

As one of the essential tools for spatio‒temporal traffic data mining,vehicle trajectory clustering is widely used to mine the behavior patterns of ***,uploading original vehicle trajectory data to the server and clustering carry the risk of privacy ***,one of the current challenges is determining how to perform vehicle trajectory clustering while protecting user *** propose a privacy-preserving vehicle trajectory clustering framework and construct a vehicle trajectory clustering model(IKV)based on the variational autoencoder(VAE)and an improved K-means *** the framework,the client calculates the hidden variables of the vehicle trajectory and uploads the variables to the server;the server uses the hidden variables for clustering analysis and delivers the analysis results to the *** IKV’workflow is as follows:first,we train the VAE with historical vehicle trajectory data(when VAE’s decoder can approximate the original data,the encoder is deployed to the edge computing device);second,the edge device transmits the hidden variables to the server;finally,clustering is performed using improved K-means,which prevents the leakage of the vehicle *** is compared to numerous clustering methods on three *** the nine performance comparison experiments,IKV achieves optimal or sub-optimal performance in six of the ***,in the nine sensitivity analysis experiments,IKV not only demonstrates significant stability in seven experiments but also shows good robustness to hyperparameter *** results validate that the framework proposed in this paper is not only suitable for privacy-conscious production environments,such as carpooling tasks,but also adapts to clustering tasks of different magnitudes due to the low sensitivity to the number of cluster centers.

Organic solar cells(OSCs) have drawn considerable attention in the last decade due to the great potential of light weight,flexibility, and low-cost solution processing. Particularly, Y-series non-fullerene acceptors(NFAs) including small molecular acceptors(SMAs) and polymerized small molecular acceptors(PSMAs) have become research hot spots due to their excellent power conversion efficiency. Side chain engineering is crucial to adjust the solubility and crystallinity of NFAs, which will significantly affect the morphology of active layers and the efficiency of OSCs. However, the understanding of side chain engineering on NFAs is still limited and lacks a systematic review. This review aims to provide a brief summary of the recent developments in side chain engineering of NFAs, with a special focus on the design and application of Y-series SMAs and PSMAs for high-efficiency non-fullerene organic solar cells(NF-OSCs). In addition, the review also points out challenges and provides useful guidance regarding side chain regulation for Y-series NFAs.

Stereotactic body radiotherapy combined with sintilimab in patients with recurrent or oligometastatic hepatocellular carcinoma: A phase Ⅱ clinical trial

BACKGROUND Stereotactic body radiotherapy(SBRT)and programmed cell death 1 inhibitors have shown potential in treating hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)in retrospective *** To evaluate the efficacy of combining SBRT with sintilimab for patients with recurrent or oligometastatic *** This trial involved patients with recurrent or oligometastatic HCC intravenously treated with SBRT plus sintilimab every 3 wk for 12 mo or until disease *** primary endpoint was progression-free survival(PFS).RESULTS Twenty-five patients were enrolled from August 14,2019,to August 23,*** median treatment duration was 10.2(range,0.7-14.6)*** was delivered at a median dose of 54(range,48-60)Gy in 6(range,6-10)*** median follow-up time was 21.9(range,10.3-39.7)mo,and 32 targeted lesions among 25 patients were evaluated for treatment response according to the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors version *** median PFS was 19.7 mo[95%confidence interval(CI):16.9-NA],with PFS rates of 68%(95%CI:52-89)and 45.3%(95%CI:28-73.4)at 12 and 24 mo,*** median overall survival(OS)was not reached,with OS rates of 91.5%(95%CI:80.8-100.0)and 83.2%(95%CI:66.5-100.0)at 12 and 24 mo,*** 1-and 2-year local control rate were 100%and 90.9%(95%CI:75.4%-100.0%),*** confirmed objective response rate and disease control rate was 96%,and 96%,*** adverse events were graded as 1 or 2,and grade 3 adverse events were observed in three *** SBRT plus sintilimab is an effective,well-tolerated treatment regimen for patients with recurrent or oligometastatic HCC.

Design optimization of the S-frame to improve crashworthiness

In this paper, the S-frames, the front side rail structures of automobile, were investigated for crashworthihess. Various cross-sections including regular polygon, nonconvex polygon and multi-cell with inner stiffener sections were investigated in terms of energy absorption of S-frames. It was determined through extensive numerical simulation that a multi-celI S-frame with double vertical internal stiffeners can absorb more energy than the other configurations. Shape optimization was also carried out to improve energy absorption of the S-frame with a rectangular section. The center composite design of experiment and the sequential response surface method （SRSM） were adopted to construct the approximate design sub-problem, which was then solved by the feasible direction method. An innovative double S- frame was obtained from the optimal result. The optimum configuration of the S-frame was crushed numerically and more plastic hinges as well as shear zones were observed during the crush process. The energy absorption efficiency of the structure with the optimal configuration was improved compared to the initial configuration.
