Theoretical Study on Mechanism of Reaction of OH with HO2NO2

The reaction of HO2NO2 （peroxynitric acid, PNA） with OH was studied by the hybrid density functional B3LYP and CBS-QB3 methods. Based on the calculated potential energy surface, five reaction channels, H20＋NO2＋O2, HOOH＋NO3, NO2＋HO3H, HO2＋HONO2 and HO2＋HOONO, were examined in detail. The major reaction channel is PNA＋OH→M1→TS1→H2O＋NO2＋O2. Taking a pre-equilibrium approximation and using the CBS-QB3 energies, the theoretical rate constant of this channel was calculated as 1.13×10-12 cm^3/（molecule s） at 300 K, in agreement with the experimental result. Comparison between reactions of HOONO2＋OH and HONO2＋OH was carried out. For HOR＋OH reactions, the total rate constants increase from R=NO2 to R=ONO2, which is consistent with experimental measurements.

COOPERATIVE CONTROL OF MULTI-AGENT MOVING ALONG A SET OF GIVEN CURVES

This paper deals with a cooperative control problem of a team of double-integrator agents moving along a set of given curves with a nominated formation. A projection-tracking design method is proposed for designing the path-following control and the formation protocol, which guarantee forma- tion motion of the multi-agent system under a directed communication graph. Necessary and sufficient conditions of the control gains for solving the coordinated problem are obtained when the directed communication graph has a globally reachable node. Simulation results of formation motion among three agents demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

MOVING RATIO TEST FOR MULTIPLE CHANGES IN PERSISTENCE

This paper proposes a moving ratio test, which is a modified version of ratio test by involving a bandwidth parameter, to detect multiple changes in persistence, and to determine the direction of switch. The asymptotic distribution as well as its consistency are established. In order to estimate the change points, the authors propose a two step estimate approach. Simulations illustrate the performance of the test and estimate procedures in finite samples. An application to the analysis of Sweden/US foreign exchange rate demonstrates the validity of the procedure in practice.

A splicing mutation in VPS4B can cause dentin dysplasia type I(DD-I),a hereditary autosomal-dominant disorder characterized by rootless teeth,the etiology of which is genetically *** our study,dental follicle cells(DFCs)were isolated and cultured from a patient with DD-I and compared with those from an age-matched,healthy *** a previous study,this DD-I patient was confirmed to have a loss-of-function splicing mutation in VPS4B(IVS7+46C>G).The results from this study showed that the isolated DFCs were vimentin-positive and CK14-negative,indicating that the isolated cells were derived from the *** harboring the VPS4B mutation had a significantly higher proliferation rate from day 3 to day 8 than control DFCs,indicating that VPS4B is involved in cell *** cells were then replenished with osteogenic medium to investigate how the VPS4B mutation affected osteogenic *** of osteogenesis,detected by alizarin red and alkaline phosphatase staining in vitro,was decreased in the DFCs from the DD-I patient compared to the control ***,we also found that the VPS4B mutation in the DD-I patient downregulated the expression of osteoblast-related genes,such as ALP,BSP,OCN,RUNX2,and their encoded *** outcomes confirmed that the DD-I-associated VPS4B mutation could decrease the capacity of DFCs to differentiate during the mineralization process and may also impair physiological root formation and bone *** might provide valuable insights and implications for exploring the pathological mechanisms underlying DD-I root development.

Method of interference cancellation based on space-time code in MIMO interference channels

The authors in this article investigated how to cancel multi-user interference with low feedback amount over 3-user multiple input multiple output （MIMO） interference channel using space-time code and precoders. Space-time block code with coding rate 2 was designed, also zero vectors were introduced into each codeword. The multi-user interference is mitigated by pre-coding at the transmitters and nonlinear operation and unidirectional cooperation link at the receivers. Compared with the existing scheme for the same scene, the proposed scheme greatly reduces feedback amount and improves the sum degrees of freedom （DOF）. Simulation demonstrates the validity of the proposed scheme.

Unrevealing the effects of low temperature on cycling life of 21700-type cylindrical Li-ion batteries

The low-temperature performance of Li-ion batteries(LIBs) has important impacts on their commercial applications. Besides the metallic lithium deposition, which is regarded as one of the main failure mechanisms of the LIBs at low temperatures, the synergistic effects originating from the cathode, anode, electrolyte, and separators to the batteries are still not clear. Here, the 21700-type cylindrical batteries were evaluated at a wide range of temperatures to investigate the failure mechanism of batteries. Voltage relaxation, and the post-mortem analysis combined with the electrochemical tests, unravel that the capacity degradation of batteries at low temperature is related to the lithium plating at graphite anodes,the formation of unsatisfied solid deposited/decomposed electrolyte mixture phase on the anode, the precipitation of solvent in the electrolytes and the block of separator pores, and the uneven dissolved transition metal-ions from the cathode. We hope this finding may open up a new avenue to alleviate the capacity degradation of advanced LIBs at low temperatures and shed light on the development of outstanding low-temperature LIBs via simultaneous optimization of all the components including electrodes, electrolytes and separators.

Distribution and accumulation of zinc and nitrogen in wheat grain pearling fractions in response to foliar zinc and soil nitrogen applications

Increasing zinc(Zn)concentration in wheat grain is important to minimize human dietary Zn *** study aimed to investigate the effect of foliar Zn and soil nitrogen(N)applications on the accumulation and distribution of N and Zn in grain pearling fractions,N remobilization,and the relationships between nutrient concentration in the vegetative tissues and grain or its fractions in two cropping years in the North China *** results showed a progressive decrease in N and Zn concentrations from the outer to the inner parts of grain,with most of the accumulation in the core *** Zn application significantly increased N concentration in the pericarp,and soil N application increased N concentration in each grain *** treatments significantly increased core endosperm Zn *** Zn had no effect on grain N and Zn *** N application made N concentrated in the aleurone,promoted Zn translocation to the core endosperm and also increased N remobilization and its efficiency from the shoot to the grain,but no improved contribution to grain was found.N concentration in grain and its fractions were positively correlated with N in vegetative organs at anthesis and maturity,while positive correlations were obtained between N concentration in the pericarp and progressive central area of the endosperm and Zn concentration in the core ***,foliar Zn and soil N applications effectively increased yield and N and Zn concentrations in the wheat grain,particularly in the endosperm,and could be promising strategies to address Zn deficiency.

Clinical features of multiple myeloma patients with isolated extramedullary relapse

This study sought to analyze the clinical features and prognosis of multiple myeloma with isolated extramedullary relapse and with the absence of systemic *** clinical features and outcome were retrospectively analyzed in six multiple myeloma *** patients had secretory multiple myeloma at *** relapsed,the dissociation between medullary and extramedullary response was *** serum or urine monoclonal component was extremely low or *** plasma cells in bone marrow were 〈5%.All patients received new targeted therapies（thalidomide or bortezomib） before extramedullary *** is difficult to achieve second remission for *** in those showing response,the duration of response was extremely *** median of overall survival from diagnosis and from extramedullary relapse was 19 months and 6 months,*** overall survival was significantly shorter compared to the patients without extramedullary involvement（84 months,P= 0.001）.These patients exhibited a special and rare relapse *** with this relapse pattern were resistant to current therapies,including novel targeted agents and associated with poor prognosis.
