Rapid and stable calcium-looping solar thermochemical energy storage via co-doping binary sulfate and Al±Mn±Fe oxides

Solar thermochemical energy storage based on calcium looping（CaL） process is a promising technology for next-generation concentrated solar power（CSP） systems. However, conventional calcium carbonate（CaCO3） pellets suffer from slow reaction kinetics, poor stability, and low solar absorptance. Here, we successfully realized high power density and highly stable solar thermochemical energy storage/release by synergistically accelerating energy storage/release via binary sulfate and promoting cycle stability, mechanical strength, and solar absorptance via Al±Mn±Fe oxides. The energy storage density of proposed CaCO3pellets is still as high as 1455 kJ kg-1with only a slight decay rate of 4.91% over 100 cycles, which is higher than that of state-of-the-art pellets in the literature, in stark contrast to 69.9% of pure CaCO3pellets over 35cycles. Compared with pure CaCO3, the energy storage power density or decomposition rate is improved by 120% due to lower activation energy and promotion of Ca2+diffusion by binary sulfate. The energy release or carbonation rate rises by 10% because of high O2-transport ability of molten binary sulfate. Benefiting from fast energy storage/release rate and high solar absorptance, thermochemical energy storage efficiency is enhanced by more than 50% under direct solar irradiation. This work paves the way for application of direct solar thermochemical energy storage techniques via achieving fast energy storage/release rate, high energy density, good cyclic stability, and high solar absorptance simultaneously.

An Empirical Study on Google Research Football Multi-agent Scenarios

Few multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL) researches on Google research football (GRF) focus on the 11-vs-11 multi-agent full-game scenario and to the best of our knowledge, no open benchmark on this scenario has been released to the public. In this work, we fill the gap by providing a population-based MARL training pipeline and hyperparameter settings on multi-agent football scenario that outperforms the bot with difficulty 1.0 from scratch within 2 million steps. Our experiments serve as a reference for the expected performance of independent proximal policy optimization (IPPO), a state-of-the-art multi-agent reinforcement learning algorithm where each agent tries to maximize its own policy independently across various training configurations. Meanwhile, we release our training framework Light-MALib which extends the MALib codebase by distributed and asynchronous implementation with additional analytical tools for football games. Finally, we provide guidance for building strong football AI with population-based training and release diverse pretrained policies for benchmarking. The goal is to provide the community with a head start for whoever experiment their works on GRF and a simple-to-use population-based training framework for further improving their agents through self-play. We present radial velocity（RV） curve templates of RR Lyrae first-overtone（RRc） stars constructed with the Mg I b triplet and Hα lines using time-domain Medium-Resolution Survey spectra of seven RRc stars from Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope（LAMOST） Data Release 9. Additionally, we derive the relation between the stellar RV curve amplitudes and g-band light curve amplitudes from Zwicky Transient Facility（ZTF）public survey. For those RRc stars without ZTF g-band light curves, we provide the conversions from the light curve amplitudes in ZTF r-and i-bands, Gaia G-band, and V-band from the All-Sky Automated Survey for Supernovae to those in ZTF g-band. We validate our RV curve templates using the RRc star SV Scl and find the uncertainties of systemic RV are less than 2.11 km s-1and 6.08 km s-1based on the Mg I b triplet and Hα lines,respectively. We calculate the systemic RVs of 30 RRc stars using the RV curve templates constructed with the Mg I b triplet and Hα lines and find the systemic RVs are comparable with each other. This RV curve template will be particularly useful for obtaining the systemic RV of RRc using the LAMOST spectroscopy.

Bone metastasis,a life-threatening complication of advanced breast cancer,is often accompanied by debilitating pain(cancer-induced bone pain,CIBP)that severely impairs life quality and *** concurrent treatment of bone metastases and CIBP remains a clinical challenge because the therapeutic options are *** this study,we construct a near-infrared light-activated nano-therapeutic system to meet this *** detail,sorafenib(SRF)and photosensitizer(chlorin e6,Ce6)are encapsulated into mesoporous hydroxyapatite nanoparticles(HANPs),which are further functionalized with hyaluronic acid(HA)to obtain HA-SRF/Ce6@HANPs *** designed nanoplatform destroys tumor cells in vitro and in vivo via the synergism of SRF(interrupting the exchange of cystine/glutamate by inhibiting SLC7A11)and photodynamic therapy(PDT,inducing reactive oxygen species generation).The decrease in tumor burden and reduction of extracellular glutamate significantly attenuate CIBP in mice model with developing bone ***,the combination of HA-SRF/Ce6@HANPs and PDT inhibit osteoclasts activation,promote osteoblast differentiation and accelerate bone ***,the nanoagent with good biocompatibility may provide an effective therapy method for the concurrent treatment of breast cancer bone metastasis and CIBP.

接触刚度是结合面特性中最重要的参数之一,直接影响着机械结构整体的动力学特性。GW(Greenwood&Williamson)模型是目前被广泛应用的结合面接触模型,在许多实验中取得了较好的预测结果。理论上,GW模型预测结果受仪器分辨率影响,预测值并不唯一,但是实验得到的宏观物理量如刚度、导电率等却是唯一值。这一矛盾说明,存在一个唯一的计算或者观测尺度以确保宏观结果的唯一性。理论上分析了GW模型的尺度依赖特性;研究了采用高斯滤波器实现计算尺度变换的方法;基于Thomas的接触理论,设计了确定滤波器截止频率的迭代方法;最终提出了一种考虑尺度的结合面切向刚度计算框架。搭建了切向刚度试验台,对考虑尺度的切向刚度模型进行验证。结果表明,考虑尺度的模型与实验结果吻合较好。

The Active Compensation Technique for Large Reflector Antennas Based on Quadratic Curve Fitting

Active reflectors are often used to compensate the surface distortion caused by environmental factors that degrade the electromagnetic performance of large high-frequency reflector antennas. This is crucial for maintaining high gain operation in antennas. A distortion compensation method for the active reflector of a large dual-reflector antenna is proposed. A relationship is established between the surface deformation and the optical path difference for the primary reflector by geometric optics. Subsequently, employing finite element analysis, a polynomial fitting approach is used to describe the impact of adjusting points on the reflector surface based on the coordinates of each node. By standardizing the positions of various panels on the reflector, the fitting ns can be applied to the reflector panels of similar shapes. Then, based on the distribution characteristics of the primary reflector panels, the adjustment equation for the actuators is derived by the influence matrix method. It can be used to determine the adjustment amount of actuators to reduce the rms of the optical path difference. And, the least squares method is employed to resolve the matrix equation. The example of a 110 m aperture dual-reflector antenna is carried out by finite element analysis and the proposed method. The results show that the optical path difference is reduced significantly at various elevation cases, which indicates that the proposed method is effective.
