j.w and maxillofacial bone lesions encompass a wide variety of both neoplastic and non-neoplastic *** lesions can arise from various tissues,including bone,cartilage,and soft tissue,each presenting distinct challenges in diagnosis and *** some pathologies exhibit characteristic imaging features that aid in diagnosis,many others are *** overlap often necessitates a multimodal imaging approach,combining techniques such as radiographs,computed tomography,and magnetic resonance imaging to achieve a diagnosis or narrow the diagnostic *** article provides a comprehensive review of the imaging approach to j.w and maxillofacial bone tumors,including updates on the 2022 World Health Organization classification of these *** relevant anatomy of the j.w and dental structures that is important for accurate imaging interpretation is discussed.

Some refractory linings that protect metallic vessels from the hot temperature of the products they contain are made of masonries with or without *** j.ints play an important role,reducing the stresses in the masonries during ***,the presence of these j.ints makes the behaviour of the masonry nonlinear and *** perform a thermomechanical simulation using a finite element method of an industrial vessel that contains hundreds or thousands of bricks and j.ints,microscopic models are not suitable due to the high computational time and the management of the behaviour of the j.ints(opening/closing)which affects the *** overcome these problems,it is proposed to replace the masonry by a homogeneous material that has a behaviour equivalent to the set of bricks and j.ints,using a periodic homogenization *** the j.ints can be closed or open,the equivalent material will have a different behaviour according to the j.int ***,refractory materials have an elastic-viscoplastic behaviour at high ***,the equivalent material will have an orthotropic elastic-viscoplastic behaviour,requiring a nonlinear homogenisation *** overview of this approach developed at University of Orléans is presented with two industrial applications(blast-furnace and steel ladle).

Radio-frequency interference is a growing concern as wireless technology advances,with potentially life-threatening consequences like interference between radar altimeters and 5 G cellular *** transceivers mix signals with varying ratios over time,posing challenges for conventional digital signal processing(DSP)due to its high *** challenges will worsen as future wireless technologies adopt higher carrier frequencies and data ***,conventional DSPs,already on the brink of their clock frequency limit,are expected to offer only marginal speed *** paper introduces a photonic processor to address dynamic interference through blind source separation(BSS).Our system-on-chip processor employs a fully integrated photonic signal pathway in the analogue domain,enabling rapid demixing of received mixtures and recovering the signal-of-interest in under 15 *** reduction in latency surpasses electronic counterparts by more than three orders of *** complement the photonic processor,electronic peripherals based on field-programmable gate array(FPGA)assess the effectiveness of demixing and continuously update demixing weights at a rate of up to 305 *** compact setup features precise dithering weight control,impedance-controlled circuit board and optical fibre packaging,suitable for handheld and mobile *** experimentally demonstrate the processor’s ability to suppress transmission errors and maintain signal-to-noise ratios in two scenarios,radar altimeters and mobile *** work pioneers the real-time adaptability of integrated silicon photonics,enabling online learning and weight adj.stments,and showcasing practical operational applications for photonic processing.

In this paper, we attempt to quantify the mean and turbulent flow fields around live macroalgae within a tidal inlet in Norway. Two Laminaria digitata specimens - 0.50 m apart were selected for detailed study and a profiling ADV was used to collect 45 velocity profiles, each composed of up to seven 0.035 m-high profiles collected for 240 s at 100 Hz, at a streamwise spacing of 0.25 m and cross-stream spacing of 0.20 m. To quantify the impact of the macroalgae, measurements were repeated over a sparser grid after the region had been completely cleared of algae and maj.r roughness elements.

Metal oxide charge transport materials are preferable for realizing long-term stable and potentially low-cost perovskite solar cells(PSCs).However,due to some technical difficulties(e.g.,intricate fabrication protocols,high-temperature heating process,incompatible solvents,etc.),it is still challenging to achieve efficient and reliable all-metal-oxide-based ***,we developed efficient inverted PSCs(IPSCs)based on solution-processed nickel oxide(NiO_(x))and tin oxide(SnO_(2))nanoparticles,working as hole and electron transport materials respectively,enabling a fast and balanced charge transfer for photogenerated charge *** further understanding and optimizing the perovskite/metal oxide interfaces,we have realized an outstanding power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 23.5%(the bandgap of the perovskite is 1.62 eV),which is the highest efficiency among IPSCs based on all-metal-oxide charge transport *** to these stable metal oxides and improved interface properties,ambient stability(retaining 95%of initial PCE after 1 month),thermal stability(retaining 80%of initial PCE after 2 weeks)and light stability(retaining 90%of initial PCE after 1000 hours aging)of resultant devices are enhanced *** addition,owing to the low-temperature fabrication procedures of the entire device,we have obtained a PCE of over 21%for flexible IPSCs with enhanced operational stability.

Obj.ctives: To clarify the inhibition of pancreatic can-cer cells by interference with the hTR component of thetelomerase reverse transcriptase enzymatic complexand evaluate susceptibility of antisense hTR pancreaticcancer cells to chemotherapeutic ***: A 593 bp of full length hTR cDNA was sub-cloned into a mammalian expression vector pcDNA3.1(-) in antisense orientation to construct an antisensehTR expression plasmid. The plasmids were introducedinto Pancl cells, a human pancreatic carcinoma cellline, by lipofectin, and G418-resistant stable trans-formants were expanded. Resulting stable clones werescreened for the presence of hTR insert by PCR withT7 and BGH reverse primers located on the flanks ofthe multiclonal site of pcDNA3.1 vector. Cell growth rate,hTR expression, telomerase activity, and anchorage-in-dependent growth property were analyzed. Finally, sus-ceptibility of antisense hTR cells to chemotherapeuticreagents was ***: Significant downregulation of endogenous hTRwas evident in the antisense-hTR transformed cells,and telomerase activity was markedly decreased com-pared to control cells in standard TRAP assays. Fur-thermore, the proliferation and the anchorage-inde-pendent growth ability in antisense-hTR expressingcells were significantly decreased compared with thecontrol parental cells. However, no crisis or senescencephenomena was observed. Antisense hTR appears toincrease Pancl cell's susceptibility to chemotherapeuticreagent cDDP, but not to differentiation reagent DM-SO, COX2 inhibitor sulinbac, NS-398, curcumin, andchemotherapeutic reagent adriamycin(ADM).Conclusions: These data indicate that hTR is probablya critical component of human telomerase activity andthat downregulation of the RNA component of humantelomerase is an effective target for anticancer strategyand antisense hTR can increase Pancl cell's susceptibilityto cDDP.

Conservative management of spinal pathology with autologous conditioned serum: A systematic review of the literature

BACKGROUND Chronic inflammatory pain is associated with increased expression of interleukin(IL)-1,an inflammatory cytokine,and activity on its receptor(IL-1R).In response,the body produces IL-1R antagonist(IL-1Ra)to reduce this *** conditioned serum(ACS)is the only biologic therapy for spinal pathologies that enhances the action of endogenous IL-1Ra reserves to improve *** systematic review investigates the effectiveness of ACS in treating pain and dis-ability caused by spinal *** To evaluate the use of ACS as a conservative management option for spinal *** A systematic review of PubMed/Medline was performed to identify studies inve-stigating administration of ACS for treatment of any spinal *** Six articles were included,comprising 684 patients treated with epidural(n=133)or transforaminal(n=551)ACS *** had an average age of 54.0 years with slight female predominance(53.2%).The lumbar spine was most com-monly treated,with 567 patients(82.9%)receiving inj.ctions for lumbar radicu-lopathy(n=67),degenerative disc disease(DDD)(n=372),or spinal stenosis(n=128);cervical inj.ctions were performed in 109 patients(15.9%).Mean(SD)follow-up was 21.7(4.8)weeks from first ACS *** studies investigating mecha-nical lumbar and lumbar or cervical radicular pain reported significant pain re-duction at final follow-up compared to *** achieved comparable or su-perior results to lumbar epidural steroid *** events were reported in 21 patients(3.1%),with no serious adverse *** ACS inj.ction is a safe and effective intervention for pain reduction in many spinal pathologies,including cervical and lumbar radiculopathies.
