Aluminum alloy matrix composites hav. found a predominant place in research, and their applications are explored in almost all industries. The aerospace industry has been using precipitation-hardenable alloys in structural applications. Howev.r, insufficient literature is av.ilable on the influence of multiwalled carbon nanotubes （MWCNTs） on precipitation-hardenable alloy composite materials; thus, this work was designed to elucidate the effect on MWCNT reinforcement on AA2219 with and without precipitation hardening. Reinforcement with MWCNTs has been reported to accelerate precipitation and to achiev. greater hardness within a much shorter time. The addition of 0.75wt% MWCNTs resulted in maximal hardness at 90 min, which is approximately 27% of improv.ment ov.r the maximum hardness achiev.d by the corresponding monolithic alloy after 10 h of aging. The sample reinforced with 0.75wt% MWCNTs showed an improv.- ment of 82% in hardness by solutionizing and aging compared to that achiev.d by sintering.

Gold has been regarded as a poor heterogeneous catalyst because it is generally considered a nonreactiv. metal. But as nanocatalysts,gold and other metals somehow significantly enhance reactiv.ty. It is generally thought chemical bonds of reactants are weakened by adsorption to nanocatalysts thereby allowing reactions to proceed more rapidly,but how this reaction proceeds to completion is not well understood. Here gold nanocatalysts are treated as unsupported nanoparticles (NPs) in a solution of reactant molecules from which extensions are made to gold NPs supported on titanium dioxide. Whether the NPs are supported or unsupported,enhanced catalytic reactiv.ty depends on absorbed thermal kT (k is Boltzmann's constant and T is absolute temperature) energy accumulated from prior collisions of reactant molecules. The accumulated kT energy is treated as electromagnetic thereby allowing frequency up-conv.rsion by quantum electrodynamics (QED) to the confinement frequency of the NP,typically beyond the v.cuum ultrav.olet (v.v.. By this theory,the chemical reaction of reactant molecules hav.ng bonds weakened by adsorption is completed by QED induced v.v.photolysis.

Superconducting spin v.lv.s based on the superconductor/ferromagnet （S/F） proximity effect are considered to be a key element in the emerging field of superconducting spintronics. Here, we demonstrate the crucial role of the morphology of the superconducting layer in the operation of a multilayer S/F1/F2 spin v.lv.. We study two types of superconducting spin v.lv. heterostructures, with rough and with smooth superconducting layers, using transmission electron microscopy in combination with transport and magnetic characterization. We find that the quality of the S/F interface is not critical for the S/F proximity effect, as regards the suppression of the critical temperature of the S layer. Howev.r, it appears to be of paramount importance in the performance of the S/F1/F2 spin v.lv.. As the morphology of the S layer changes from the form of ov.rlapping islands to a smooth case, the magnitude of the conv.ntional superconducting spin v.lv. effect significantly increases. We attribute this dramatic effect to a homogenization of the Green function of the superconducting condensate ov.r the S/F interface in the S/F1/F2 v.lv. with a smooth surface of the S lav.r.

Ceramic powders of Na_(1−x)Li_(x)NbO_(3)(LNN)hav. been synthesized by an aqueous sol-gel *** solid solutions were prepared from Na-Li-Nb precursor *** precursor was synthesized from Na-EDTA,Li-EDTA and Nb-citrate complexes and they acted as the source of Na,Li and Nb,*** acid and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid(EDTA)were used as the chelating agents for Na,Li and *** precursor gel was calcinated on a muffle furnace at 750℃for one hour and this prov.ded the ceramic *** of LNN-biopolymers were prepared by the encapsulation of the ceramic structures into the biopolymeric *** ceramic structures and composites were characterized by FTIR,NMR,TG and SEM analysis.

Indiv.duals may reduce competition by temporally partitioning their use of a shared resource. Behav.oral differences between sexes in ungulates may encourage segregation as indiv.duals attempt to av.id antagonistic interactions. Howev.r, dominant sex and age groups may reduce subordinates' access to food resources, regardless of the subordinate's sex. We hypothesized that white-tailed deer Odocoileus v.rginian us temporally segregated at supplemental feedi ng sites based on social rank (subordinate: yearling males and adult females;dominant: adult males) and that segregation was affected by phase of the breeding season and diel cycle. If deer temporally segregate according to social rank, we predicted that the resulting activ.ty patterns would manifest in one social class being relativ.ly more susceptible to hunter-induced mortality. We used a multistate modeling approach to quantify temporal segregation and calculated the probability that a feeding site was in a particular state during diurnal and nocturnal hours for each of the 3 phases of the breeding season. Recent results on nucleon resonance studies in π＋π-p electro- production off protons with the CLAS detector are presented. The analysis of CLAS data allowed us to determine all essential contributiag mechanisms, prov.ding a credible separation between resonant and non-resonant parts of the cross sections in a wide kinematical area of inv.riant masses of the final hadronic system 1.3 〈 W 〈 1.8 Gev.and photon v.rtutualities 0.2 〈 Q2 〈 1.5 Gev.. Electrocouplings of sev.ral excited proton states with masses less than 1.8 Gev.were obtained for the first time from the analysis of π＋π-p exclusiv. electroproduction channel.

The enthalpies of v.porization for the series of pyridinium-based ionic liquids with bis（trifluoromethylsulfonyl）imide anion [CnPy][NTfz] （n = 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6） hav. been determined with the quartz crystal microbalance technique combined with the Langmuir ev.poration. The linear dependence of v.porization enthalpies on the chain length has been rev.aled. New approach based on v.lumetric, surface tension, and speed of sound measurements has been dev.loped for estimation of heat capacity differences between gas and liquid phase, which were required for adjustment of measured v.porization enthalpies to the ref- erence temperature 298 K.

Cloud Computing has become the popular paradigm for accessing the v.rious scalable and on-demand computing serv.ces ov.r the ***,indiv.dual Cloud Serv.ce Prov.ders(CSPs)offering specialized serv.ces to the customers collaborate to form the Cloud Federation,in order to reap the real benefits of Cloud *** collaboration,the member CSPs of the federation achiev. better resource utilization and Quality of Serv.ce(QoS),thereby increasing their business *** a CSP runs out of resources in the Cloud Federation,in order to offload the customer requests for resources to other CSP(s),identifying a suitable partner is a challenging task due to the lack of global coordination among *** this paper,we propose the design and implementation of an efficient partner selection mechanism in the Cloud Federation,using the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)and the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)methods,and also considering the trust v.lues of v.rious CSPs in the *** AHP method is used to calculate the weights of the QoS parameters used in the TOPSIS method which is used to rank the v.rious CSPs in the Cloud Federation according to the user *** results show the effectiv.ness of this approach in order to efficiently select the trustworthy partners in large scale federations to ensure the required QoS to the cloud consumers.
