We are now preparing for the third generation (e,e' K+) Λ hypernuclear spectroscopic experiment at Hall C,jefferson Lab (USA). The goal of the experiment is the precise spectroscopy of hypernuclei in wide mass region. We have constructed a new high resolution electron spectrometer "HES" dedicated to (e,e' K+) hypernuclear study in japan and it was shipped to jLab in February,2008. We will discuss about the physics of the (e,e' K+) hypernuclear study at jLab and report the current preparation status of the third generatrion experiment.

2013年10月12—13日中国生理学会张锡钧基金会第十二届全国青年优秀生理学学术论文交流会在湖南长沙顺利召开。由各省生理学会推荐的37名参赛选手的论文参与评选，会议展示了选手们近3年来在生理学研究方面所取得的最新研究成果。经过专家对参评者论文和现场报告的综合评判，评出一等奖、二等奖、三等奖、特别奖、最佳表达奖、最佳答辩奖和最佳图标奖共11名。从2013年第6期开始，《生理通讯》将陆续转载获奖者的参评论文各一篇，以飨读者。

Dogger Bank itch is an allergic contact dermatitis to the (2- hydroxyethyl) Dimethyl sulphoxonium ion, a metabolite produced by the marine Bryozoan Alcyonidium diaphanum. The condition may become disabling in affected individuals, who are chiefly fishermen and dock labourers. It involves regions of skin directly exposed to sea water and areas where water may course. As A. diaphanum is common in the coastal waters of Britain, Ireland and neighbouringmainland Europe, it is important for dermatologists to be aware of Dogger Bank itch. Data published in 1966 suggested that 7% of trawler- men at the UK port of Lowestoft had the condition. The current epidemiology is unknown, but the disease still occurs despite shrinkage of the fishing industry, and the condition is not confined to North Sea trawler- men as had been thought previously. It has been reported in trawler- men from Le Havre and shell fishermen from Cornwall, and we report it here in a fisherman using fixed nets in the eastern English Channel.

A total of 2261 (808 male, 1453 female) consecutive patients attending contact dermatitis clinics were patch tested to isoeugenol and its derivatives listed i n the EUInventory of Fragrance Ingredients. Positive reactions were found to iso eugenol in 40, transisoeugenol in 40, isoeugenyl acetate in 19, isoeugenyl benzo ate in 4, isoeugenyl phenylacetate in 16, isoeugenyl methyl ether in 6 and benzy l isoeugenyl ether in 2 patients. There was a concomitant reaction to isoeugenol in 36/40 of those positive to transisoeugenol, 13/19 of those to isoeugenyl ace tate, 3/4 of those to isoeugenyl benzoate and 15/16 of those to isoeugenyl pheny lacetate but in none of those 6 positive to isoeugenyl methyl ether and in neith er of those 2 positive to benzylisoeugenyl ether. Concomitant contact allergy be tween isoeugenol and its derivatives may occur through chemical cross-reactivit y or local skin metabolism of the derivatives. It is more commonly observed with the esters rather than the ethers. Isoeugenyl acetate has been proposed as an a lternative to isoeugenol, but there is a high degree of concomit an treactivity with isoeugenol.

We describe an epidermotropically metastatic pancreatic mucinous ductal adenocarcinoma on the scalp. Neoplastic glandular structures that varied in size and shape containing abundant mucin within the lumens and in the neoplastic cells were present within a seborrheic keratosis and adjacent normal epidermis. Similar neoplastic glandular structures were present in the dermis, some within adnexal epithelium and lymphatic vessels. The patient’s history of pancreatic mucinous ductal adenocarcinoma and immunohistochemical staining pattern of carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA 19-9) confirmed the diagnosis.

Multiple cutaneous and uterine leiomyomas is an autosomal dominant condition t hat results in benign smooth muscle tumours of the skin and, in females, uterine fibroids. This syndrome overlaps with hereditary leiomyomatosis and renal cell cancer syndrome in which affected individuals may develop the rare type II papil lary renal cell cancer, in addition to skin leiomyomas. Recently, heterozygous m utations in the gene encoding fumarate hydratase have been found to underlie bot h conditions. Fumarate hydratase is an enzyme that catalyses the conversion of f umarate to malate in the Kreb’s cycle and may also function as a tumour suppres sor gene. We report a family with multiple leiomyomas, uterine fibroids and papi llary renal cell cancer. The proband is a 77-year-old Polish woman who develop ed multiple cutaneous leiomyomas on her right upper arm in her thirties and subs equently underwent a hysterectomy for uterine fibroids in her forties. She has f our offspring: her eldest daughter also has skin and uterine leiomyomas with a s imilar onset; her son has multiple skin leiomyomas and in addition was diagnosed with metastatic papillary renal cell cancer at the age of 50 years; the two you ngest daughters are unaffected. DNA sequencing in all the affected individuals d isclosed a heterozygous G ?úC substitution at nucleotide 173 ofthefumaratehydra tasegene,thatconvertsanarginineresidue (CGA) to proline (CCA). This missense mut ation has not been reported previously and is designated R58P. Interestingly, th e clinically asymptomatic 20-year-old son of the individual with renal cancer was also found to be heterozygous for R58P. It is likely that he will develop sk in leiomyomas in the future but the risk of renal cancer is difficult to predict . Nevertheless, detection of this mutation has important implications for screen ing and genetic counselling in this and other family members.
