In order to meet key requirements imposed by transitioning to a 5G network, new network management techniques must be employed in order to increase network reliability and efficiency. Most notably, it is important that a Self-Organizing Network (SON) is able to recover autonomously from network failure or congestion through Self-Healing procedures (i.e. autonomous detection, diagnosis, and correction). This paper aims to develop a self-healing algorithm that can effectively “heal” a 5G network by testing a proposed self-healing algorithm within a network simulator that adheres to current 5G standards. The simulator developed in this paper aims to model a network of small cells that can inherit one of multiple states (healthy, congested, and failing) to validate the effectiveness of a programmed self-healing algorithm in recovering a simulated network. Results show that the application of a self-healing in a network is able to resolve issues related to Quality of Service (QoS) and reduced network data rates in portions of a network that are in a partially congested or failing state.

Predictive geochemical and limnologic modeling of pit lakes is an important aspect of modern mine-site permitting. One of the key assumptions of many predictive pit-lake models is that open-pit high walls and in-pit backfill become geochemically unreactive once submerged by the filling pit lake. Existing pit lakes provide useful data to test this assumption. The Sleeper pit lake (northwestern Nevada, USA) is approaching hydrologic equilibrium and contains good-quality water that generally meets regulatory requirements for pit lakes. Despite the overall stable geochemical composition, seasonal trends in the hypolimnion indicate the generation of dissolved metals associated with the ore deposit (e.g., Mn and Zn) and cyclical variations in pH. This study applies mass balance, analysis of subaqueous pyrite oxidation, and trends in solute concentrations to evaluate the potential causes of long-term solute generation in the hypolimnion of the Sleeper pit lake. Three separate conceptual models (subaqueous pyrite oxidation;redox reactions;and diffusion of solutes from a permanently stratified bottom layer) were tested against the high-quality dataset available for the pit lake. Evaluation of the monitoring dataset for the pit lake indicates that the Sleeper pit lake has variable limnologic behavior, wherein the lake is consistently stratified (meromictic) in some years, while it undergoes full mixing (holomixis) in other time periods. Comparison of the data with the three conceptual models illustrates that none of these models can be completely implicated as causing the seasonal geochemical variations in the bottom of the pit lake, but that a combination of the processes is likely partially responsible. Additional data collection including sediment cores and in-situ pore-water analysis would aid in understanding geochemical processes occurring over time.

AIM: To explore gastroenterologist perceptions towards and experience with faecal microbiota transplantation(FMT).METHODS: A questionnaire survey consisting of 17 questions was created to assess gastroenterologists' attitude towards and experience with FMT. This was anonymously distributed in hard copy format amongst attendees at gastroenterology meetings in Australia between October 2013 and April 2014. Basic descriptive statistical analyses were ***: Fifty-two clinicians participated. Twenty one percent had previously referred patients for FMT,8% more than once. Ninety percent would refer patients with Clostridium difficile infection(CDI) for FMT if easily available,37% for ulcerative colitis,13% for Crohn's disease and 6% for irritable bowel syndrome. Six percent would not refer any indication,including recurrent CDI. Eighty-six percent would enroll patients in FMT clinical trials. Thirty-seven percent considered the optimal mode of FMT administration transcolonoscopic,17% nasoduodenal,13% enema and 8% oral capsule. The greatest concerns regarding FMT were: 42% lack of evidence,12% infection risk,10% non infectious adverse effects/lack of safety data,10% aesthetic,10% lack of efficacy,4% disease exacerbation,and 2% inappropriate use; 6% had no concerns. Seventy seven percent believed there is a lack of accessibility while 52% had an interest in learning how to provide FMT. Only 6% offered FMT at their ***: Despite general enthusiasm,most gastroenterologists have limited experience with,or access to,FMT. The greatest concerns were lack of supportive evidence and safety issues. However a significant proportion would refer indications other than CDI for FMT despite insufficient evidence. These data provide guidance on where education and training are required.

Dear Editor,Rauvolfia tetraphylla(aka the Devil pepper)(Supplemental Figure 1)is a well-known medicinal plant that produces monoterpenoid indole alkaloids(MIAs).This MIA biosynthesis occurs in several organs,including leaves,stems,fruit,and roots,which accumulate the famous antiarrhythmic ajmaline(Kumar et al.2016a,2016b;Kumara et al.,2019).MIAs are natural products notably involved in plant adaptation to the environment and defense against *** mainly results from their high biological activities,which also explain their pharmacological properties.

Restricted fetal growth(RFG)is a leading contributor to perinatal mortality and has been associated with gestational exposure to air pollution,such as fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5)),nitrogen dioxide(NO2),and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs).This study examines the association between trimester-specific and weekly means of air pollution throughout gestation and placental inflammatory markers at *** a prospective cohort study of 263 pregnant women in Rochester,NY,we measured interleukin-6(IL-6)and tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)in placental tissue and estimated gestational exposure to PM_(2.5)and NO_(2)using a high-resolution spatial-temporal *** to PAHs was estimated using urinary 1-hydroxypyrene(1-OHP)concentrations collected once per *** distributed lag models with a penalized spline function,each interquartile range(2.6μg/m^(3))increase in PM_(2.5)concentration during gestational weeks 6−11 was associated with decreased placental IL-6 levels(−22.2%,95%CI:−39.0%,−0.64%).Using multiple linear regression models,each interquartile range increase of 1-OHP was associated with an increase in TNF-αin the first trimester(58.5%,95%CI:20.7%,74.2%),third trimester(22.9%,95%CI:0.04%,49.5%),and entire pregnancy(29.6%,95%CI:3.9%,60.6%).Our results suggest gestational exposure to air pollution may alter the inflammatory environment of the placenta at delivery.

目的探讨固定漂浮传感器(floating mass transducer,FMT)导线的不同位点对FMT振动的影响。方法固定距FMT分别为10mm、5mm和紧贴FMT导线时,应用激光多普勒(laser doppler vibration,LDV)观测声刺激强度为100和80dB SPL时FMT的振动幅值。结果FMT在1、1.5kHz处振动幅值较小,向两侧振动幅值渐增大,0.25和8kHz处最大。固定距FMT10mm、5mm和紧贴FMT导线时,均能产生明显的振动,尽管夹持点紧贴FMT时,振动幅值略高于另外两点,但三者间差异无统计学意义。结论固定FMT导线的不同位点,FMT均能产生相似的振幅。

Aim:To develop a comprehensive item library of patient-reported,immunotherapy-related adverse events(irAEs)that draws from and expands on the Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy(FACIT)Measurement ***:Literature review and iterative expert *** on a literature review of irAEs,we developed a framework of immunotherapy classes and their associated *** experts then reviewed iterations of symptom summaries and item maps linked to the immunotherapy *** provided content review and feedback was shared across experts until consensus was *** iterative process facilitated creation of a Primary Symptom List associated with immune checkpoint modulators(ICMs),drawn from the larger set of *** FACIT items were mapped to the symptom list,and new items were written as needed to create the item ***:The full item library of irAEs is comprised of 239 items,covering 142 unique symptoms across 75 inflammatory reactions/immune conditions.A subset of 66 items comprises a Primary Symptom List considered most common/relevant to ICM *** includes gastrointestinal,skin,pulmonary,neurologic,musculoskeletal,and multiple miscellaneous and constitutional ***:The FACIT Immunotherapy Item Library is a compilation of 239 self-report items that capture the wide range of AEs experienced by people receiving immune treatments.A subset of 66 items comprises a Primary Symptom List meant for ICM *** of items selected from this library is encouraged in clinical research and clinical practice evaluation.
