For open car park structures,adopting a performance-based structural fire design is often justified and allowed because the fire does not reach ***,this design approach requires an accurate assessment of temperatures in structural members exposed to car *** paper describes a numerical study on the thermal exposure on steel framing members in open car park *** temperatures are computed by the coupling of computational fluid dynamics and finite element modeling,and by analytical models from the *** addition,the influence of galvanization on the steel temperature evolution is *** show that temperatures in unprotected beams and columns are influenced by the section geometry,car fire scenario,modeling approach,and use of *** slightly delays and reduces peak *** the different models,CFD-FEM(CFD:computational fluid dynamics,FEM:finite-element method)coupled models predict lower temperatures than the Hasemi model,because the latter conservatively assumes that the fire flame continuously touches the ***,the Hasemi model cannot account for the effect of reduced emissivity from galvanization on the absorbed heat *** temperature distributions obtained in the steel members can be used to complete efficient structural fire designs based on the member sections,structure layout,and use of galvanization.

Nickel is typically used as one of the main components in electrical contact devices or *** oxide(NiO)is usually formed on the surfaces of electrodes and can negatively impact system performance by introducing electrical contact *** thermal,electrical,and transport properties of NiO,as a Mott insulator or a p-type semiconductor,can be altered by operating and environmental conditions such as temperature and stress/strain by *** this study,we inves-tigate the fundamental material properties of NiO through the first-principle ***,we obtain and compare the lattice parameter,magnetic moment,and electronic structure for NiO via the WIEN2K simulations with four different poten-tials(i.e.,GGA,GGA+U,LSDA,and LSDA+U).then,using the WIEN2K simulation results with LSDA+U potential that produces a highly accurate bandgap for NiO,we calculate the electrical conductivity and electrical part of the thermal conductivity of nickel and NiO as a function of temperature and carrier concentration through the BoltzTraP *** simulation results revealed that the electrical conductivity relative to the relaxation time for NiO increases with the carrier concentration,while it shows a slightly decreasing trend with temperature under a fixed carrier *** contrast,the electrical part of the thermal conductivity shows an increasing trend considering carrier concentration and temperature.

Alternative sources of fish oil(FO)are one of the major problems in aquaculture;therefore,the goal of the present study was to examine insect(black soldier fly larvae)oil(BSLO)as a potential replacer of fish/s oy oil in juvenile rainbow trout(initial average weight of 32±0.15 g)*** diets were formulated wherein FO(control diet)was completely replaced with either soybean oil(SO)or BSLO,and an additional BSLO-based diet supplemented with 1.5%bile acid(BSLO+BA)were fed to the fish for 10 *** performance of the BSLO fed group was similar(P>0.05)to that of the FO and SO fed groups,howeve r,the fish fed BSLO+BA diet registered the lowest growth(P0.05)affect the major nutrient content of whole-body,however,the fatty acid composition of the muscle and liver was influenced(Pth the highest 14:0,16:0,and total saturated fatty acid detected in BSLO or BSLO+BA fed trout compared to the others(Pthe groups,whereas,the highest EPA:DHA and n-3:n-6 ratios were detected in the FO *** expression for fatty acid binding protein(fabp),fatty acid synthase(fas),and△5 desaturase in the liver was lower in FO(Pthe highest△6 expression(P=0.006).Supplementation of BA in the BSLO diet increased superoxide dismutase(SOD)and catalase(CAT)activities compared to the other groups(Pthout negatively impacting growth performance,whole-body composition and nutrient retention,and modulate the expression of fatty acid metabolism-related genes in rainbow trout.
