The Water Erosion Prediction Project(WEPP)model code was modified extensively to support the simulation of nonpoint source(NPs)pollutant sourcing and transport in nonuniform hillslopes based on NPs science from the soil and Water Assessment Tool(sWAT).This was accomplished utilizing WEPP's overland flow element(OFE)in place of sWAT's hydrologic response unit(HRU)construct which enabled more physically plausible routing within a *** addition,several improvements to the NPs code base were *** include:free-source format,modern-Fortran conventions,minor enhancements to NPs model science,and code *** manuscript documents all model development activities,presents a comparison of relevant WEPP and WEPP-WQ code bases,and performs a local sensitivity analysis of the final model code for the most important input parameters and *** results indicated that the model performed as expected according to its design and provided important insights for potential subsequent validation studies.

The alternating direction implicit(ADI)method is a highly efficient technique for solving multi-dimensional time dependent initial-boundary value problems on *** the ADI technique is coupled with orthogonal spline collocation(OsC)for discretization in space we not only obtain the global solution efficiently but the discretization error with respect to space variables can be of an arbitrarily high ***[2],we used a Crank Nicolson ADI OsC method for solving general nonlinear parabolic problems with Robin’s boundary conditions on rectangular polygons and demonstrated numerically the accuracy in various norms.A natural question that arises is:Does this method have an extension to non-rectangular regions?In this paper,we present a simple idea of how the ADI OsC technique can be extended to some such *** approach depends on the transfer of Dirichlet boundary conditions in the solution of a two-point boundary value problem(TPBVP).We illustrate our idea for the solution of the heat equation on the unit disc using piecewise Hermite cubics.

Purple rice is a source of bioactive antioxidants for rice consumers. Loss of the major antioxidant compounds after a range of cooking processes was evaluated by measuring the changes in anthocyanin concentration （ATC） and antioxidant capacity （DPPH activity） of four non-glutinous and four glutinous genotypes. However, soaking in water prior to cooking generally decreased more ATC and antioxidant capacity in non-glutinous than in glutinous genotypes. Wet cooking （WC） and soaking before wet cooking （s-WC） led to lose almost all the ATC and antioxidant capacity with only slight variation between genotypes. In the glutinous genotype Pieisu, which had the highest raw rice ATC, ATC remained the highest when cooked by the WC method. By contrast, almost no ATC remained after WC and s-WC in the low ATC genotypes such as Kum Doi saket. Overall, the loss of ATC was greater in non-glutinous than in glutinous genotypes for both WC and s-WC methods, but the reverse occurred for antioxidant capacity. WC using electric rice cooker retained higher ATC than the pressure cooking. Thus, for genotypes with high ATC and antioxidant capacity, the selection of cooking method is critical for retaining and stabilizing rice quality.

We have classified 11 species recently recognized as belonging to the genus Elymus into a resurrected and legitimate genus Campeiostachys Drobov according to the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature. Our action is based on the rationale of monophyly, discrimination, and practicality discussed in detail. Currently Elymus contains a vast number of species with different genomes which often, but not always, can be differentiated by cytological and molecular features, but are difficult to separate by traditional morphology, although an effort to do so is detailed and discussed. This difficulty can be attributed to the dominance effect of a particular genome on the other genome(s) present. Campeiostachys, with genome constitution ststHHYY, is a recent addition to a number of genera recently segregated out of Elymus, i.e. Douglasdeweya (ststPP), Kengyilia (ststPPYY), and Roegneria (ststYY, ststststYY). A key to Campeiostachys taxa is provided, along with taxa descriptions, distribution, nomenclature, and cytology. Nineteen nomenclatural novelties, or combinations, resulted from this work, 10 species names, and nine varietal names.
