对欧洲及地中海地区燕麦草复合体２７个居群的等位酸电泳调查表明，燕麦草复合体维持比较高的等位酶多样性（Ｈｅ＝０．４４７，Ａ＝３．２９），亚种间遗传分化较小（Ｇ（ＳＴ）＝０．０５３）；在四个亚种内，也维持着比较高的多样性（Ｈｅ：０．３２５—０．５３３），各亚种内的基因多样度主要存在于居群之内，居群间分化较小．四倍体的基因多样性高于二倍体的．燕麦草复合体内居群间基因流较高，表明燕麦草繁育方式主要为风媒远交．对Ｎｅｉ氏标准遗传距离的ＵＰＧＭＡ聚类结果表明，四倍体是从二倍体有鳞茎的ｓｓＰ．ｂａｅｔｉｃｕｍ中产生的．

1887年,一位毛利族酋长把新西兰诺斯岛中部高原火山群的几座山峰捐给国家。自那以后,以这几座山峰为核心大规模地向外扩大,形成了汤加力罗国家森林公园。这是一片茂密的原始森林,坡陡弯急。1908年建成的诺思岛主干铁路沿着这个公园的边缘蜿蜒行走,高空架桥和隧道相接在断崖峭壁上。后来,在公众要求让更多的旅游者能方便地进入和欣赏这片叹为观止的森林的一片呼声中,公园进一步扩展把铁路包含在内。1983年,新西兰政府批准了诺思岛主干铁路电气化的提案。为了便于高速行驶和电力牵引,这条铁路从奥哈康往北至哈罗皮多10公里的陡坡和急弯段必须尽可能改进。

Cementoblastoma is a rare benign lesion that represents less than 1% of all odontogenic tumours. It’s characterized by proliferation of cementum-like tissue and in almost all cases tends to be associated with an erupted permanent tooth, most often the first mo- lar. We present an unusual case of a large cemento-blastoma that affected the right mandibular body, extending from the first premolar to the second molar, of a 19-years-old male. In this case an initial surgery was attempted under local anaesthesia, resulting in incomplete tumor removal. A second surgical procedure was performed under general anaesthesia, ensuring the complete excision of the lesion. The patient was monitored for 1 year after surgery and did not show any signs of recurrence.

The subgenual cingulate cortex has been found to be different in structure and function in mood and affective disorders compared to healthy individuals. Imaging studies have shown a decrease in function of the subgenual region in bipolar disorder and depression, with overall glial number shown to be decreased in these disorders. Decreases in subgenual grey matter in sZ have been observed also. In this neuropathological study upon formalin-fixed coronal brain sections we describe the morphological finding of de- creased frequency of subgenual cingulate crown bifurcation (p = 0.02) as compared to control, bipolar and depression cases. This suggests that the cingulate cortex in schizophrenia may be morphologically distinct in utero formation, potentially enabling an early identification of high-risk individuals.

Let X1 and X2 be two compact connected strongly pseudoconvex embeddable Cauchy-Riemann （CR） manifolds of dimensions 2m - 1 and 2n - 1 in Cm＋l and Cn＋l, respectively. We introduce the thom- sebastiani sum X = X1 X2 which is a new compact connected strongly pseudoconvex embeddable CR manifold of dimension 2m＋2n＋ 1 in Cm＋n＋2. Thus the set of all codimension 3 strongly pseudoconvex compact connected CR manifolds in C^n＋1 for all n ≥ 2 forms a semigroup. X is said to be an irreducible element in this semigroup if X cannot be written in the form X1 X2. It is a natural question to determine when X is an irreducible CR manifold. We use Kohn-Rossi cohomology groups to give a necessary condition of the above question. Explicitly, we show that if X = X1 X2, then the Kohn-Rossi cohomology of the X is the product of those Kohn-Rossi cohomology coming from X1 and X2 provided that X2 admits a transversal holomorphic sl-action.

This paper introduces a mathematical model which describes the dynamics of the spread of HIV in the human body. This model is comprised of a system of ordinary differential equations that involve susceptible cells, infected cells, HIV, immune cells and immune active cells. The distinguishing feature in the proposed model with respect to other models in the literature is that it takes into account cells that represent two distinct mechanisms of the immune system in the defense against HIV: the non-HIV-activated cells and the HIV-activated cells. With a view at minimizing the side effects of a treatment that employs a drug combination designed to attack the HIV at various stages of its life cycle, we introduce control variables that represent the infected patient’s medication. The optimal control rule that prescribes the medication for a given time period is obtained by means of Pontryagin’s Maximum Principle.
