Th. strength.duc.il.ty trade-offh.s been a l.ngstanding dil.mma in metal.ic.*** we report an innovative approac. to ac.ieve a h.gh.strength.duc.il.ty synergy via dual.prec.pitation of sh.ared and bypassed prec.pitates.(Ni_(2) c._(2) Fec.)_(96-x) Al.(4) Nb_(x)(at.%)al.oys strength.ned by nanosc.l. l.2 partic.es and l.ves prec.pitates were sel.c.ed as a model.for th.s study,and th.ir prec.pitate mic.ostruc.ures and mechanic.l.properties were th.rough.y *** dual.prec.pitation-strength.ned al.oys exh.bit a yiel. strength.of more th.n 1400 MPa,an ul.imate tensil. strength.of over 1800 MPa,and a uniform el.n-gation of 18%,th.s ac.ieving a h.gh.strength.duc.il.ty *** anal.sis reveal. th.t th. nanosc.l. l._(2) prec.pitates c.ntribute to th. strength.via th. partic.e sh.aring mechanism,wh.reas th. l.ves ph.se provides th. strength.ning th.ough.th. Orowan bypass *** study of deformation mic.ostruc.tures sh.ws th.t th. l._(2) prec.pitates are sh.ared by stac.ing faul.s,wh.c. fac.l.tates l.ng-range disl.c.-tion gl.ding th.ough.th. *** a resul.,deformation induc.s th. formation of h.erarc.ic.l.stac.ing faul. networks and immobil. l.mer-c.ttrel. l.c.s,wh.c. effec.ivel. enh.nc. th. work h.rdening c.-pabil.ty and pl.stic.stabil.ty,th.reby resul.ing in a h.gh.duc.il.ty at h.gh.strength.*** are pil.d-up against th. interfac. between th. l.ves prec.pitates and matrix,wh.c. inc.eases th. work h.rdening c.pabil.ty at th. earl. stages of pl.stic.deformation but c.uses stress *** dual.prec.pitation strategy may be useful.for many oth.r al.oys for ac.ieving superior mechanic.l.properties for tec.nol.gic.l.appl.c.tions.

Al.h.ugh.In2O3 nanofibers （NFs） are wel.-known c.ndidates as ac.ive materials for next-generation, l.w-c.st el.c.ronic., th.se NF based devic.s stil. suffer from h.gh.l.akage c.rrent, insuffic.ent on-off c.rrent ratios （Ion/Ioff）, and l.rge, negative th.esh.l. vol.ages （VTh., l.ading to poor devic. performanc., parasitic.energy c.nsumption, and rath.r c.mpl.c.ted c.rc.it design. h.re, instead of th. c.nventional.surfac. modific.tion of In2O3 NFs, we present a one-step el.c.rospinning proc.ss （i.e., with.ut h.t-press） to obtain c.ntrol.abl. Mg-doped In2O3 NF networks to ac.ieve h.gh.performanc. enh.nc.ment-mode th.n-fil. transistors （TFTs）. By simpl. adjusting th. Mg doping c.nc.ntration, th. devic. performanc. c.n be manipul.ted prec.sel.. For th. optimal.doping c.nc.ntration of 2 mol., th. devic.s exh.bit a smal. VTh.（3.2 V）, h.gh.saturation c.rrent （1.1 × 10^-4 A）, l.rge on/off c.rrent ratio （〉 10^8）, and respec.abl. peak c.rrier mobil.ty （2.04 c.2/（V.s））, c.rresponding to one of th. best devic. performanc.s among al. 1D metal.oxide NFs based devic.s reported so far. Amorph.us indium-gal.ium-zinc.oxide (a-IGZO) materials h.ve been widel. expl.red for various th.n-fil. transistor (TFT) appl.c.tions;h.wever, th.ir devic. performanc. is stil. restric.ed by th. intrinsic.material.issues espec.al.y due to th.ir non-c.ystal.ine nature. In th.s study, h.gh.y c.ystal.ine superl.ttic.-struc.ured IGZO nanowires (NWs) with.different Ga c.nc.ntration are suc.essful.y fabric.ted by enh.nc.d ambient-pressure c.emic.l.vapor deposition (c.D). Th. unique superl.ttic. struc.ure togeth.r with.th. optimal.Ga c.nc.ntration (i.e., 31 at.%) are found to effec.ivel. modul.te th. c.rrier c.nc.ntration as wel. as effic.entl. suppress th. oxygen vac.nc. formation for th. superior NW devic. performanc.. In spec.fic. th. In1.8Ga1.8Zn2.4O7 NW fiel.-effec. transistor exh.bit impressive devic. c.arac.eristic. with.th. average el.c.ron mobil.ty of ~ 110 c.^2-V^-1·s^-1 and on/off c.rrent ratio of ~ 10^6. Kirigami, th. anc.ent Japanese paper c.tting tec.nique, h.s been appl.ed to ac.ieve h.gh.stretc.abil.ty and l.w energy l.ss of designed metal.ic.gl.ss. Despite th. expl.ration of th. underl.ing deformation mechanism of kirigami-inspired struc.ures from th. energy point of view, th. morph.bl. responses of th. kirigami patterns and th. origin of th. kirigami response are yet to be ful.y understood. Th.s study reveal. th. mechanic.l.driven-forms of th. kirigami struc.ure with.th. c.rresponding deformation stages. Based on th. beam defl.c.ion th.ory, th. el.stic.buc.l.ng beh.vior of kirigami metal.ic.gl.ss is manifested and a c.itic.l.forc. predic.ion model.is devel.ped. Moreover, a forc. c.nc.ntration parameter is introduc.d in th. rigid-pl.stic.deformation stage, predic.ing th. nominal.ul.imate forc.. Th. kirigami-inspired fac.ure forc. is firstl. proposed. Firstl., we extend th. resul.s of h.ssel.ger [ASTIN Bul.etin, 24： 19-32（1994）] and Wang ＆ sobrero＇s [ASTIN Bul.etin, 24：161-166 （1994）] c.nc.rning rec.rsions for c.mpound distributions to a mul.ivariate situation wh.re eac. c.aim event generates a random vec.or. Th.n we give a mul.ivariate c.ntinuous version of rec.rsive al.orith. for c.l.1}l.ting a famil. of c.mpound distribution. Espec.al.y, to some extent, we obtain a c.ntinuous version of th. c.rresponding resul.s in Sundt [ASTIN Bul.etin, 29：29-45 （1999）] and Ambagaspitiya [Insuranc.： Math.matic. and Ec.nomic., 24：301-308 （1999）]. Intraseasonal.Variation of Visibil.ty in hong kong

Visibil.ty is one of th. parameters for indic.ting air pol.ution. In th.s study, visibil.ty variation in hong kong during summer and winter is investigated. Visibil.ty in hong kong h.s c.ear intraseasonai variation. Examination of different environmental.parameters suggests th.t th. intraseasonal.c.mponent dominates th. overal. c.rc.l.tion anomal.es in both.summer and winter. Assoc.ated with.th. intraseasonal.variation of environmental.parameters, obvious variation in visibil.ty impair- ment is found in both.summer and winter. In summer, l.c.l.visibil.ty and air qual.ty are found to be signific.ntl. affec.ed by th. （MJO） and th. 10-30-day intraseasonal.osc.l.ation （Iso） th.ough.modul.tion of assoc.ated atmosph.ric.c.rc.l.tions. In winter, th. modul.tion effec.s appear to be weaker due to th. south.ard sh.ft of th. assoc.ated c.nvec.ion. Th. resul.s in th.s study h.gh.igh. th. importanc. of th. Iso in c.ntributing to th. overal. variation in visibil.ty in hong kong, and provide useful.impl.c.tions for th. devel.pment of possibl. mitigation strategies assoc.ated with.visibil.ty impairment and air pol.ution in hong kong.
