Modulational instability conditions for the generation of localized structures in the context of matter waves in Bose-Einstein condensates are investigated analytically and numerically. The model is based on a modified Gross-Pitaevskii equation, which account for the energy dependence of the two-body scattering amplitude. It is shown that the modified term due to the quantum fluctuations modify significantly the modulational instability gain. Direct numerical simulations of the full modified Gross-Pitaevskii equation are performed, and it is found that the modulated plane wave evolves into a train of pulses, which is destroyed at longer times due to the effects of quantum fluctuations.

This work proposes the construction of a prototype of pulse-kink hybrid solitary waves with a strong Kink dosage of the Sasa-Satsuma equation which describes the dynamics of the wave propagating in an optical fiber where the stimulated Raman scattering effect is bethinking during modeling. The ultimate goal of this work is to propose a plateful of solutions likely to serve as signals during studies on computer or laboratory propagation studies. The resolution of such an equation is not always the easiest thing, and we used the Bogning-Djeumen Tchaho-Kofané method extended to the implicit functions of Bogning to obtain the results. The flexibility of the iB-functions made it possible to deduce the trigonometric solutions, from the obtained solitary wave solutions with a hyperbolic analytical sequence of the studied Sasa-Satsuma equation. A better appreciation of the nature of the solutions obtained is made through the profiles of some solutions obtained during the different analyses.

The major concern of this work is to propose new prototypes of surface hybrid waves, in particular waves propagating without sprawl or deformation on the surface of a fluid. The model considered for this purpose is the modified KdV (Korteweg-de Vries) equation. A peculiarity of the obtained solutions is that they form packages constituted by combinations of waves belonging to the two main families of well-known bright and dark solitary waves. This putting together creates competitions between the different components of the considered packages which, following the values assigned to the parameters of the considered system and in relation to those of the wave parameters, generate hybrid or multi-form structures. The direct method of resolution which made possible the obtained results is that of Bogning-Djeumen Tchaho-Kofane extended to the new implicit Bogning functions. The existence conditions of some solutions are obtained. The numerical simulations carried out with a view to testing the observable and applicable characters of the obtained solutions revealed their stabilities over a relatively long time, and at the same time, confirmed the recommended theoretical forecasts. We are convinced that the solutions proposed as part of this work will make it possible to detect, understand and explain some physical phenomena linked to fluid molecular interactions, former or new, which constantly occur on the fluid surfaces, mainly at the shallow water surface.

Sleep and Subjective Recovery in Amateur Trail Runners After the Ultra-Trail du Mont blanc^(®)(UTMB^(®))

Purpose The interaction between sleep and recovery is a fundamental issue for ultra-marathoners,especially after an ultra-trail,but literatures on this matter remains are *** main objectives were(1)to describe sleep parameters during the nights following an ultra-endurance event in amateur trail runners,(2)to evaluate the recovery kinetics,and(3)to assess the relationship between sleep parameters and *** Nineteen race finishers were tested daily,from 10 days before to 10 days after the Ultra-Trail du Mont-blanc^(®)(UTMB^(®)).Hooper Index(HI)was used to assess recovery and sleep parameters(total sleep time,TST and wake after sleep onset,WASO)were monitored using a wrist-worn *** HI was higher than baseline until day 5 after the race(P<0.05)and younger athletes had a lower HI than older ones during the recovery period(P<0.001).TST was not modified by the race,but there was a WASO peak on the second night *** correlations were found between WASO and muscle soreness(P<0.001)and between TST and HI(P<0.05).Conclusions In conclusion,participants needed 6 days for recovery after UTMB^(®)and younger runners seemed to recover faster than older ***-race sleep quantity did not increase,but the second night was more fragmented,most likely due to muscle *** between sleep and recovery parameters highlighted the key role of sleep for recovery.

Allium sativum Flavor Compounds as an Indicator for Garlic Identity and Quality Determination

The objective of the study was to research the aroma profile of volatile compounds in garlic subspecies originating from Latvia, and compare them with the aroma composition of garlic grown in the region of Midi-Pyrenees （France）. It was established that hard-neck garlic tends to contain more diallyl disulfide （DADS）, the main decomposition product of allicin. Compared to the hard-neck subspecies, the content of allyl mercaptan, one of the major compounds producing the strong odor detectable after ingestion of garlic, was significantly lower in the soft-neck garlic clones. The amount of cyclic compound 3-vinyl-1,2-dithiin differed considerably with higher contents in the soft-neck subspecies. The results also demonstrate the soft-neck garlic as a more suitable subspecies for long-term storage. In general, the results show no significant difference in the content of DADS and the total content of other flavor compounds between hard-neck and soft-neck garlic grown in the region of Midi-Pyrenees and Latvia. However, comparing garlic subspecies originating from France and Latvia by the content of allyl mercaptan, 1,2-dithiolane and 3-vinyl-1,2-dithiin, a considerable proportional difference of these volatiles was determined. Also, a significant difference was established in the content of DADS between the white garlic variety ＂blanc de Lomagne＂（France, region of Midi-Pyrenees） and white garlic grown in other countries. The results of this study suggest the suitability of solid phase microextraction （SPME） and gas chromatography （GC） methods for quality control of garlic originating from France.
