This paper presents the calibration of a neutron dose rate meter and the evaluation of its calibration factors(CFs)in several neutron standard fields(i.e.,two standard fields with bare sources of252Cf and241Am-Be,and five simulated workplace fields with241Am-Be moderated sources).The calibration in standard fields with bare sources was conducted by following the recommendations of the ISO 8529 *** measured total neutron ambient dose equivalent rates,denoted as H*(10)tot,were analyzed to obtain direct components,denoted as H*(10)dir,using a reduced fitting *** CF was then calculated as the ratio between the conventional true value of the neutron ambient dose equivalent rate in a free field,denoted as H*(10)FF,and the value of H*(10)*** contrast,in the simulated workplace neutron fields,the calibration of the neutron dose rate meter was conducted by following the ISO 12789 *** CF was calculated as the ratio between the values of H*(10)totmeasured by a standard instrument(i.e.,Bonner sphere spectrometer)and the neutron dose rate *** CF values were obtained in the range of 0.88–*** standard uncertainties(k=1)of the CFs were determined to be in the range of approximately 6.6–13.1%.

BACKGROUND Hepatic eosinophilic pseudotumor(HEPT)is a rare condition that mimics ma-lignant hepatic tumors,posing significant diagnostic *** case report highlights the importance of considering parasitic infections like Fasciola hepatica(***)in the differential diagnosis of hepatic masses,especially in endemic regions,to prevent unnecessary *** SUMMARY A 40-year-old female presented with a 1-month history of epigastric pain and significant weight *** revealed a hepatic mass,initially misdiagnosed as intrahepatic *** results showed marked eosinophilia,and histopathological examination confirmed significant eosinophilic infiltration without *** testing identified *** *** patient was treated with a single dose of triclabendazole,leading to complete symptom resolution and normalization of hepatic imaging findings within *** HEPT due to *** can closely mimic malignancy;timely antiparasitic treat-ment is crucial for resolution.

In this manuscript,we provide critical commentary on the systematic review by Augustin et al,which investigated acute pancreatitis induced by primary hyperparathyroidism during *** this is an infrequent complication,it poses severe risks to both maternal and fetal *** to its infrequent occurrence in clinical practice,this review is based on an analysis of individual case reports over the past 55 *** this is not the first study to utilize this sampling method for primary hyperparathyroidism-induced acute pancreatitis,it is unique in that it has a sufficiently large sample size with statistically significant *** discussion focuses on the diagnostic challenges associated with this condition,which are grounded in the mechanisms of parathyroid hormone secretion and variations in serum calcium *** also address the limitations of the current review and suggest potential strategies to increase diagnostic accuracy and improve health outcomes for both mothers and fetuses during pregnancy.

Ultrasonication（US）, which creates hydro-mechanical shear forces in cavitation, is an advanced technology in sludge pretreatment. However, there are many factors affecting the efficacy of cavitation and ultrasonication disintegration of sludge as a *** objective of this work is to present an extensive review of evaluation approaches of sludge US pretreatment efficiency. Besides, optimization methodologies of related parameters,the differences of optimum values and the similarities of affecting trends on cavitation and sludge pretreatment efficiency were specifically pointed out, including ambient conditions,ultrasonic properties, and sludge characteristics. The research is a prerequisite for optimization of sludge US pretreatment efficiency in lab-scale and practical application. There is not-yet a comprehensive method to evaluate the efficiency of sludge US pretreatment, but some main parameters commonly used for this purpose are degree of sludge disintegration, proteins,particle size reduction, etc. Regarding US parameters, power input PUS, intensity IUS, and frequency FSseem to have significant effects. However, the magnitude of the effect of PUSand probe size in terms of IUShas not been clearly detailed. Investigating very low FSseems interesting but has not yet been taken into consideration. In addition, static pressure effect has been marginally studied only and investigation on the effect of pH prior to US process has been restricted. Their effects therefore should be varied separately and simultaneously with other related parameters, i.e. process conditions, ultrasonic properties, and sludge characteristics, to optimize sludge US pretreatment process.

In this study, the punch resistance of the beetle forewing was investigated to address the ability of the forewing against the external force. The punch resistance of the forewing was measured for different sizes and sexes of beetles using a conventional testing method in conjunction with the Digital Image Correlation （DIC） technique. The results showed that the maximum fracture load was measured around 23 N for the female beetle and around 20.2 N for the male beetle in the front-side punch test. Moreover, the fracture load in the front-side punch test was higher than that in the back-side punch test for both male and female beetles. This means that the beetle forewing plays a protection role against external loads. Furthermore, the puncture energy in the front-side punch test for the female beetle （6.91 m J） was a little higher than that for the male beetle （5.27 mJ）. In addition, the DIC results revealed that the first crack occurred along the trachea line and the second crack then appeared in the direction that was perpendicular to the direction of the first crack. This study provides a com- prehensive understanding of the mechanical protection properties of the beetle forewing and offers a good lesson for studying lightweight bio-inspired composite material.

Changes of the blood vessels and collagen are associated with the development of abnormal cervical ***,optical coberence tomography and Mueller polarization images were 1used to provide information regarding the presence of collagen fibers in the cervical ***,most of these methods need a lot of time for image recording and are *** addition,the general survey on the absorption and distribution characteristics of collagen and blood in the cervical is still *** this study,we developed a colposcopy combining cross-polarized inage and image procssing algorithm with an fficient analytical model to map the distribution of blood and collagen in the *** this system's proof of concept,we captured and processed the case of cervical ectopy and Nabothian *** results show that the distribution of blood and collagen maps matched with anatomical and physiological when compared with Lugol's iodline *** technology has some advantages,such as low cost,real time,and can replace the 11se of acetic acid or Lugol's iodine in the future.
