This work contributed to a.deta.led study on a.better understa.ding of the Jominy test, a.opted a.proportion of study to crea.e the Jominy test device, exhibited fa.ora.le conceptions for the development of a.prototype of the device, covering the four a.pects of the project, being they: test device, test body hea.ing system, test a.toma.ion a.d instrumenta.ion using embedded electronics a.d fina.cia. a.a.ysis for the ela.ora.ion of this project in Bra.il. It wa. possible to observe in the results tha. the system is efficient, simple a.d functiona., it wa. possible to obta.n the first test ca.ried out in the controlled environment the tempera.ure da.a.in degrees centigra.e, the recorded da.a.were a.toma.ica.ly la.nched in Microsoft Excel by the PLX Da. softwa.e, ma.ing the a.quisition of the da.a. In the ma.ter of prepa.ing the test device, the dra.ings a.e presented in the 3D modeling softwa.e, cost ta.les of the ma.eria.s used for a.sembly in Bra.il. In terms of the hea.ing system, a.hea.ing system wa. a.opted tha. uses electroma.netic induction, the cost of ma.eria.s rela.ed to the hea.ing system design wa. a.so presented. a.other releva.t fa.tor tha. contributes to the resea.ch a.d improvement of the prototype is the municipa.ity, loca.ed in the Pa.a.ba.Va.ley region, loca.ed in the sta.e of São Pa.lo, consisting of a.fertile a.d releva.t scena.io of regiona., na.iona., interna.iona. a.d multina.iona. sta.istics, thus concluding the effectiveness for the ma.nly meta.lurgica. industries. The results obta.ned were sa.isfa.tory a.d consistent, when they were crea.ed for the Jominy test device with the a.ility to submit sma.l pieces for testing a.d ma.nly essentia. in the dida.tic point of view for a.higher educa.ion institution of engineering a.d technology.

Hydroelectricity ha. grea. importa.ce for the globa. ma.roeconomy. In Bra.il, hydroelectricity ha. been highlighted a. the ma.n source of genera.ion of the electric system both for its economic competitiveness a.d for the a.unda.ce of this energy resource. Ba.ed on a.dia.nosis methodology, this a.ticle presents a.ca.e study in a.Bra.ilia. hydroelectric pla.t in order to optimize the use of energy a.d propose improvements rega.ding the ra.iona.iza.ion of its a.plica.ion. The systems a.socia.ed with energy genera.ion were eva.ua.ed a.d the results proved to be potentia.ly a.va.ta.eous with a. estima.ed sa.ings of 2910 MWh/yea. in the electricity consumption of the insta.la.ion itself, with better use of the equipment a.d the possibility of increa.ing the power genera.ed.
