Effectiveness of an Indoor Air Pollution (IAP) Intervention on Reducing IAP and Improving Women’s Health status in Rural Areas of Gansu Province, China

Given the deleterious health effects associated with indoor air pollution (IAP), this study was conducted to evaluate an IAP intervention in rural areas in Gansu, one of the poorest provinces of China. We selected 371 rural households to take part in intervention measures including stove improvement and health education. Eight of 371 households were selected to conduct IAP sampling. Four hundred and thirteen women in these households completed a questionnaire and 49 women took part in lung function tests. After the intervention, PM4 levels reduced from 455 μg/m3 to 200 μg/m3 and CO reduced from 3.40 ppm to 2.90 ppm in indoor air. The percentage of predicted value of FEV1 and FVC improved to some degree after the intervention, but all the parameters of lung function assessment did not show a significant change. Prevalence rates of several symptoms associated with IAP significantly declined in the study population, compared with baseline levels. Intervention measures combining stove improvement with health education were effective in reducing IAP levels. Women’s health status, including eye and respiratory symptoms, also showed improvement. However, the effect on lung function was not apparent and warranted additional follow-up. similarly, evaluation of the long term effects of the IAP intervention will require future studies.

[目的]伤害以及伤害的瞬时危险因素的时程分布对伤害的防治有重要意义。[方法]对647名急性职业手外伤的病例伤害发生时接触的瞬时危险因素以及时程因素进行分析。[结果]伤害的发生呈工作日两个高峰(上午8-11点,31.5%;下午1点到5点,38.8%)。伤害发生时工作时间的中位数为5小时。41.4%的病例有设备运行不良情况出现,而且其中25%出现在工作开始后第一小时内。[结论]研究结果显示,在工作开始后的最初几个小时是急性职业手外伤高发时间段,在设计干预控制措施的时候应予以考虑。

麻蜥属Eremias隶属于蜥蜴科Lacertidae,为典型的草原和荒漠动物,分布于欧洲东南部、亚洲西部和中亚地区,往东到达中国东北和朝鲜。100多年来,其分类经历了较多的变动和修订,但其种间和亚属间系统发育关系仍不清楚。目前认为,麻蜥属大约包括36种,分为五个亚属Aspidorhinus,Rhabderemias,Ommateremias,scapteira和Pareremias。前四个亚属为卵生方式,而Pareremias亚属中除丽斑麻蜥***和山地麻蜥***外,其余均为卵胎生方式。本研究中,通过线粒体16s rRNA来研究以下问题:(1)重新评价该属部分物种的系统发育关系;(2)检验卵胎生物种是否构成单系;(3)采用贝叶斯松散分子钟估算其支系分化时间。结果表明,支持麻蜥属是一单系,与其亲缘关系最近的属是Acanthodactylus和Latastia属;明确了Pareremias亚属构成单系,丽斑麻蜥与山地麻蜥构成姐妹种;首次从分子上支持了卵胎生类群为一次起源。此外,密点麻蜥***分化较强,而荒漠麻蜥***嵌在密点麻蜥之中,二者并未形成交互单系(reciprocal monophyly),这可能是由于基因渐渗(introgression)或不完全谱系分拣(incomplete lineage sorting),密点麻蜥可能是复合种(species complex)或并系种(paraspecies)。***和***二种麻蜥构成一个分支,与Pareremias亚属关系最近。然而,Aspidorhinus,scapteira和Rhabderemias三个亚属可能不是单系。贝叶斯松散分子钟估算表明,麻蜥属可能起源于9.9百万年前(95%置信区间为7.62Ma),从晚中新世辐射到更新世,在相对较短的地质时间内伴有多次快速物种形成事件。Pareremias亚属约起源于6.3Ma(95%置信区间为5.3.5 Ma),该亚属的分化可能与8Ma以来青藏高原的快速抬升所引起的东亚季风气候的演化密切相关。

对某开发区 1991～ 1997年发生的 42 6例工伤罹难者进行了调查分析 ,主要涉及死者人口学资料 ,环境危险因素如致害设备、事故类型及伤害方式等。在该调查期间 ,工伤粗死亡率为 9 1/10 5。坠落、起重伤害、触电、物体打击、坍塌、机械和企业内车辆伤害等占全部工伤死亡的 88%。其企业类型特征如下 :坠落、起重伤害、坍塌、触电和物体打击在建筑行业最常见 ;触电、起重伤害、机械伤害和坠落在制造业常见 ;车辆伤害则最常发生在运输、仓储和邮电业。 15 %的工伤死亡属于多人 (2人及以上 )死亡事故 ,最常见的多人死亡事故是因坠落、化学中毒、金属工件和起重伤害等。涉及的设备主要是工作面、在建建筑物。

On a global level,there is a tendency to conduct bibliographic studies about the creation of resilient communities in disaster *** resilience has a significant role when residents are called upon to recover from a natural disaster(Molavi,2018;Moreno,2018).Based on previous research in the existing literature and after the catastrophe in Mati,and even more specifically in continuation to the research of Vallianou et al.’s,2020,the present study goes a step further comparing for two populations the dimensions of volunteerism,philanthropy tendencies,and environmental awareness.A quantitative research was conducted through questionnaires via phone interviews and in person,one year after the wildfire,in Mati,*** sample consisted of participants from Mati and skyros *** findings of the study revealed that natural disasters are interconnected to volunteerism,philanthropy,and environmental *** our research residents of Mati seem to score higher in environmental awareness in comparison to skyros’residents who seem to have a stronger tendency on *** conclude,the age groups which seem to be more environmentally aware are the one of 46-55 and the one of 65 and above.

背景本文是对连续外周神经阻滞（CPNB）在本院骨科患儿手术后镇痛中应用的一项核查结果。方法本研究对费城儿童医院2003年2月至2006年7月间，儿童患者应用CPNB行手术后镇痛的局部麻醉登记和医疗记录进行了回顾。在手术后对所有患儿进行随访，直至CPNB作用消退和（或）任何与之相关并发症消失。同期采集的资料还包括感觉及运动阻滞情况、住院患儿的疼痛评分、阿片类药物的使用以及与CPNB相关的并发症。结果217例患儿共放置了226根周围神经阻滞导管（简称导管）。其中108例患儿（112根导管）出院回家后仍进行CPNB。患儿的年龄为4岁至18岁（13．7±3．4）岁。根据患儿的体重和导管放置的位置，以2—12ml/h的初始速度输注局部麻醉药物[0．125％的布比卡因（n=164）]、0．1％的罗哌卡因（n=12）或0．15％的罗哌卡因（n=27））。局部麻醉药平均输注时间为48．4±29．3小时（范围：0～160小时）。手术后最初8、24和48小时不需任何阿片类药物的患儿比例分别为56％、26％、21％。手术后恶心、呕吐的发生率为14％（门诊患儿为13％，住院患儿为15％），记录的并发症发生率为2．8％。3例患儿肢体麻木感时间延长（〉24小时），最终自行恢复；1例患儿发生表皮蜂窝组织炎，经1个疗程的抗生素治疗后消退；1例在家拔除导管困难；还有1例进行CPNB24小时后出现耳鸣，停药并随后拔除导管后症状迅速缓解。结论在专家指导下，对住院及门诊患儿骨科手术后使用CPNB进行手术后镇痛具有可行性。对患者及家属的宣传教育以及定期的随访非常重要，有助于迅速发现和及时处理不良事件。

Myocardial infarction is the most common cause of congestive heart failure. Novel strategies such as directly reprogramming cardiac fibroblasts into cardiomyocytes are an exciting area of investigation for repair of injured myocardial tissue. The ultimate goal is to rebuild functional myocardium by transplanting exogenous stem cells or by activating native stem cells to induce endogenous repair. Cell-based myocardial restoration, however, has not penetrated broad clinical practice yet. Plateletrich plasma, an autologous fractionation of whole blood containing high concentrations of growth factors, has been shown to safely and effectively enhance healing and angiogenesis primarily by reparative cell signaling. In this review, we collected all recent advances in novel therapies as well as experimental evidence demonstrating the role of platelet-rich plasma in ischemic heart disease, focusing on aspects that might be important for future successful clinical application.
