Purpose:The quantitative rankings of over 55,000 institutions and their institutional programs are based on the individual rankings of approximately 30 million scholars determined by their productivity,impact,and ***/methodology/approach:The institutional ranking process developed here considers all institutions in all countries and regions,thereby including those that are established,as well as those that are emerging in scholarly *** of individual scholars worldwide are first generated using the recently introduced,fully indexed scholarGPs *** rankings of individual scholars are extended here to determine the lifetime and last-five-year Top 20 rankings of academic institutions over all Fields of scholarly endeavor,in 14 individual Fields,in 177 Disciplines,and in approximately 350,000 unique *** associated with five specific Fields(Medicine,Engineering&Computer science,Life sciences,Physical sciences&Mathematics,and social sciences),and in two Disciplines(Chemistry,and Electrical&Computer Engineering)are presented as examples,and changes in the rankings over time are ***:For the Fields considered here,the Top 20 institutional rankings in Medicine have undergone the least change(lifetime versus last five years),while the rankings in Engineering&Computer science have exhibited significant *** evolution of institutional rankings over time is largely attributed to the recent emergence of Chinese academic institutions,although this emergence is shown to be highly Field-and *** implementations:Existing rankings of academic institutions have:(i)often been restricted to pre-selected institutions,clouding the potential discovery of scholarly activity in emerging institutions and countries;(ii)considered only broad areas of research,limiting the ability of university leadership to act on the assessments in a concrete manner,or in contrast;(iii)have considered only a narrow are

Electrochemical Analysis of Zirconiumin Aqueous and Organic Media

For the challenging nature of the zirconium environment analysis, this study consists to analyze the electrochemical behavior of Zirconium in both aqueous and organic media. To that end first the electrolytic media was selected on the basis of the Pourbaix potential-pH diagram, which provides informations on the predominance of Zrsup>(IV) sup> ion and Zr in aqueous media. In aqueous media, analyzes were first carried out in acidic media then in basic media. studies have thus revealed that the acidic environment is not favourable for the electrochemical analysis of zirconium. Voltammograms obtained in an acidic environment show no zirconium detection signal;this is due to the strong presence of Hsup>+sup> ions in the solution. We have also observed in acidic media the phenomenon of passivation of the electrode surface. In aqueous alkaline media (pH = 13), we have drawn in reduction several Intensity-Potential curves by fixingsome technical parameterslike scanning speed, rotation speed of the electrode. The obtained voltammograms show cathodic waves, starting from -1.5 V/DHW and attributed to the reduction of Zrsup> (IV) sup> to Zr (0). The last phase of this study focused on the electrochemical analysis of zirconium in an organic media. In this media, several intensity-potential curves were plotted in reduction and in cyclic voltammetry with various parameters. Through several reduction analysis, the Zrsup> (IV) sup> was reduced to Zr (0) to the potential of -1.5 V/DHW. The electrochemical analysis of zirconium in organic media seems globally easier to achieve thanks to its large solvent window (i.e. dimethylformamide (DMF) solvent window > 6 V).

A recent article published by Hooftman et al.1 in Nature identified a crucial function for fumarate hydratase(FH)in bone marrow-derived macrophages(BMDMs).Pharmacological inhibition or genetic ablation of FH led to increased fumarate levels and downstream suppression of mitochondrial respiration implying the importance of cellular metabolic states and cytokine balance shift in innate immunity.

The springtime persistent rainfall(sPR)is the major rainy period before the onset of summer monsoon in East Asia,which profoundly affects the regional and even global hydrological *** the great importance of the mechanical and thermal effects of the Tibetan Plateau(TP)large-scale orography on the formation of sPR,the impact of small-scale orography over the TP remains poorly *** we show that upward-propagating orographic gravity waves(OGWs),which occur as the subtropical westerlies interact with the TP's small-scale orography,contribute importantly to the *** breaking of OGWs induces a large zonal wave drag in the middle troposphere,which drives a meridional circulation across the *** rising branch of the meridional circulation acts to lower the pressure and increase the meridional pressure gradient to the south of the TP by dynamically pumping the lower-tropospheric air *** southwesterly monsoonal flow on the southeastern flank of the TP thus intensifies and transports more water vapor to East Asia,resulting in an enhancement of the *** finding helps more completely understand the impacts of TP's multiscale orography on the sPR and provides a new perspective on the westerly-monsoon synergy in East Asia.

Novel gel polymer electrolytes(GPEs)composed of polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)and sodium thiocyanate were developed via a solution casting *** ionic liquid(IL),1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium tricyanomethanide([EMIM][TCM]),was doped into a polymer–salt complex system(PVA+NasCN)to further enhance the ***-doped polymer electrolyte(ILDPE)films were characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD),polarized optical microscopy(POM),Fourier-transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy,and conductivity *** was performed to check the degree of crystallinity and amorphicity of the ILDPE films,and the amorphicity of GPEs increased with the increase of the IL *** was employed to evaluate the changes in the surface morphology due to the inclusion of salt and IL in the *** compositional nature of the GPE films was examined via FTIR *** electrical and electrochemical properties were characterized by cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance *** maximum conductivity for the GPE film was estimated to be 1.10×10^(-5) s/cm for 6%(mass fraction)of IL in the polymer–salt *** ionic transference number was approximately *** electrochemical double-layer capacitor(EDLC)was built from optimized GPE films and reduced graphene oxide-based *** specific capacitance calculated from the cyclic voltammograms of the EDLC cells was 3 F/g.
