The design of nanostructured materials occupies a privileged position in the development and management of affordable and effective technology in the antibacterial sector.Here,we discuss the antimicrobial properties of three carbonaceous nanoblades and nanodarts materials of graphene oxide(GO),reduced graphene oxide(RGO),and single-wall carbon nanotubes(sWCNTs)that have a mechano-bactericidal effect,and the ability to piercing or slicing bacterial membranes.To demonstrate the significance of size,morphology and composition on the antibacterial activity mechanism,the designed nanomaterials have been characterized.The minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC),standard agar well diffusion,and transmission electron microscopy were utilized to evaluate the antibacterial activity of GO,RGO,and sWCNTs.Based on the evidence obtained,the three carbonaceous materials exhibit activity against all microbial strains tested by completely encapsulating bacterial cells and causing morphological disruption by degrading the microbial cell membrane in the order of RGO>GO>sWCNTs.Because of the external cell wall structure and outer membrane proteins,the synthesized carbonaceous nanomaterials exhibited higher antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacterial strains than Gram-negative and fungal microorganisms.RGO had the lowest MIC values(0.062,0.125,and 0.25 mg/mL against B.subtilis,s.aureus,and E.coli,respectively),as well as minimum fungal concentrations(0.5 mg/mL for both A.fumigatus and C.albicans).At 12 hr,the cell viability values against tested microbial strains were completely suppressed.Cell lysis and death occurred as a result of severe membrane damage caused by microorganisms perched on RGO nanoblades.Our work gives an insight into the design of effective graphene-based antimicrobial materials for water treatment and remediation.

Aim： To test the hypothesis that sildenafil （50 mg nightly for one year） can improve spontaneous erectile function （EF） in men with mild-to-moderate arteriogenic erectile dysfunction （ED） responsive to erectogenic treatment. Methods： In a prospective open-label trial, 112 men with ED were randomized to sildenafil 50 mg nightly or sildenafil 50 or 100 mg as needed for 12 months, followed by one-month and 6-month non-medicated periods. Non-randomized, non-medicated men with ED were also assessed. The EF domain of the International Index of Erectile Function （IIEF EF） and the peak systolic velocity （PsV） of penile cavernous arteries were used to measure the efficacy. Results： After sildenafil treatment and a subsequent non-medicated month, IIEF EF was normal in 29 of 48 （60.4%, 95% confidence interval [CI]： 45.3-74.2%） of the nightly group vs. 4 of 49 （8.2%, 95% CI： 2.3-19.6%） of the as-needed group. PsV improved by 11.2 cm/s （95% CI： 4.7-21.4; P = 0.012） in the nightly group but only by 3.4 cm/s （-5.1- 14.7; P = 0.435） in the as-needed group. IIEF EF normalized in 1 of 18 （5.6%, 95% CI： 0.1-27.3%） non-medicated men and the PsV declined slightly. six months after treatment, the IIEF EF remained normal and PsV was stabilized in most （28/29, 97%） nightly group men who had initially normalized. Conclusion： sildenafil nightly for one year resulted in ED regression that persisted well beyond the end of treatment, so that spontaneous EF was characterized as normal on the IIEF in most men. The results from this open-label, randomized trial warrant verification under double-blind, placebo-controlled conditions.

The Kachchh Basin and the Jaisalmer Basin are two neighboring Mesozoic sedimentary basins at the western margin of the Indian craton. The Jurassic succession of the Kachchh Basin is more complete and more fossiliferous than that of the Jaisalmer Basin. Consequently, intrabasinal correlation of the sedimentary units has been possible in the Kachchh Basin, but not in the Jaisalmer Basin. However, some marker beds existing in the Kachchh Basin can be recognized also in the Jaisalmer Basin. Ammonite evidence shows that they are time-equivalent. The following four units form marker intervals in both basins: (1) the pebbly rudstone unit with Isastrea bernardiana and Leptosphinctes of the Kaladongar Formation (Kachchh Basin) and the Isastrea bernardiana-bearing rudstone of the Jaisalmer Formation (Jaisalmer Basin) both represent transgressive systems tract deposits dated as Late Bajocian; (2) bioturbated micrites with anomalodesmatan bivalves within the Goradongar Yellow Flagstone Member (Kachchh Basin) and bioturbated units in the Fort Member (Jaisalmer Basin) represent maximum flooding zone deposits of the Middle to Late Bathonian; (3) trough-crossbedded, sandy packto grainstones of the Raimalro Limestone Member (Kachchh Basin) and the basal limestone-sandstone unit of the Kuldhar section of the Jaisalmer Formation (Jaisalmer Basin) correspond to Late Bathonain transgressive systems tract deposits; and (4) ferruginous ooid-bearing carbonates with hardgrounds of the Dhosa Oolite member (Kachchh Basin) and the middle part of the Jajiya Member (Jaisalmer Basin) are Oxfordian transgressive systems tract deposits. The fact that in both basins similar biofacies prevailed during certain time intervals demonstrates a common control of their depositional history. As the two basins represent different tectonic settings, the most likely controlling factors were the relative sea-level changes produced by eustatic processes, a common subsidence history of the northwestern margin of the Indian craton, and the paleoclimate.

Mucosal healing(MH)has emerged as a key therapeutic target in inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),and achievement of this goal is documented by endoscopy with biopsy.However,colonoscopy is burdensome and invasive,and substitution with an accurate noninvasive biomarker is desirable.AIM To summarize published data regarding the performance of noninvasive biomarkers in assessing MH in IBD patients.METHODs We conducted a systematic review of studies that reported the performance of biomarkers in diagnosing MH in patients with IBD.The main outcome measure was to review the diagnostic accuracy of serum and fecal markers that showed promising utility in assessing MH.REsULTs We screened 1301 articles,retrieved 46 manuscripts and included 23 articles for full-text analysis.The majority of the included manuscripts referred to fecal markers(12/23),followed by circulatory markers(8/23);only 3/23 of the included manuscripts investigated combined markers(serum and/or fecal markers).Fecal calprotectin(FC)was the most investigated fecal marker for assessing MH.In ulcerative colitis,for cutoff levels ranging between 58 mcg/g and 490 mcg/g,the sensitivity was 89.7%-100%and the specificity was 62%-93.3%.For Crohn’s disease,the cutoff levels of FC ranged from 71 mcg/g to 918 mcg/g(sensitivity 50%-95.9%and specificity 52.3%-100%).The best performance for a serum marker was observed for the endoscopic healing index,which showed a comparable accuracy to the measurement of FC and a higher accuracy than the measurement of serum C-reactive protein.CONCLUsION several promising biomarkers of MH are emerging but cannot yet substitute for endoscopy with biopsy due to issues with reproducibility and standardization assessing MH.In ulcerative colitis,for cutoff levels ranging between 58 mcg/g and 490 mcg/g,the sensitivity was 89.7%-100%and the specificity was 62%-93.3%.For Crohn’s disease,the cutoff levels of FC ranged from 71 mcg/g to 918 mcg/g(sensitivity 50%-95.9%and specificity 52.3%-100%).The best performance for a serum marker was observed fo

Data evaluation strategies for the novel coupled MCC-IMs sensory system are developed. Mayor attention to the plausibility of applied procedures and the feasibility of automation was paid. Three stages of extraction levels with increasing data reduction are presented for several fields of application. According to suitable extraction levels, real data were tested on various structures of artificial neural networks (ANN) with the result, that the computational levels must still be chosen by expertise, but subsequent processing and training can be fully automated. For the training of larger net- works a method of automated generation of secondary training data is presented which exceeds the quality of previous noise models by far. It is concluded that the combination of MCC-IMs as measuring instrument and ANNs as evalua- tion technique have high potential for industrial use in process monitoring.

Hypomagnesaemia is a common finding that occurs in hospitalised patients and can be caused by renal or extrarenal wasting. Because it is not routinely tested, even severe hypomagnesaemia can be missed. In cases of extrarenal wasting, the kidney can decrease its magnesium excretion to very low levels. A systematic diagnostic approach allows the proper diagnosis and treatment of hypomagnesaemia. We report on a 72-year-old Caucasian male patient with repeated drops and amyosthenia caused by severe hypomagnesaemia. In this report, we discuss the pathophysiology, clinical signs, diagnostic investigation and treatment of magnesium depletion.

论笔这种形式之所以在德国遇到重重阻力,是因为它唤醒了精神自由,也是因为它与科学和学术对诸形式的过敏反应判然有别。论笔早已从艺术中分离出来,但是它却具有某种审美自主性;论笔重视个体经验,但其经验又无法用科学方法简单概括。相对于事物的整体,论笔强调部分;相对于主客体的同一性,论笔表达的是非同一性;论笔不是不要方法,而是以无法而法的方式悬置了传统的方法概念;论笔也不是拒绝概念,而是要让概念在心智经验中互惠互动,并与其他概念构成位形,形成力场。论笔向笛卡尔建构起来的近代科学理论——清楚明晰的感知,不容置疑的确定性;认识事物应该循序渐进,从简单到复杂;系统思考要详尽列举,全面考察——发起了挑战,因为论笔始于最复杂的东西,同时又以断片的方式思考,从而在对非连续性的强调中颠覆了思想序列中的连续性和整体性。当然,论笔也正如Versuch的涵义一样具有某种尝试性甚至易错性。但是作为对种种精神产物的内在批判,论笔必然是一种意识形态批判,因为其形式法则就是离经叛道。
