The application of intelligence to manufacturing has emerged as a compelling topic for researchers and industries around the world.However,different terminologies,namely smart manufacturing(SM)and intelligent manufacturing(IM),have been applied to what may be broadly characterized as a similar paradigm by some researchers and practitioners.While SM and IM are similar,they are not identical.From an evolutionary perspective,there has been little consideration on whether the definition,thought,connotation,and technical development of the concepts of SM or IM are consistent in the literature.To address this gap,the work performs a qualitative and quantitative investigation of research literature to systematically compare inherent differences of SM and IM and clarify the relationship between SM and IM.A bibliometric analysis of publication sources,annual publication numbers,keyword frequency,and top regions of research and development establishes the scope and trends of the currently presented research.Critical topics discussed include origin,definitions,evolutionary path,and key technologies of SM and IM.The implementation architecture,standards,and national focus are also discussed.In this work,a basis to understand SM and IM is provided,which is increasingly important because the trend to merge both terminologies rises in Industry 4.0 as intelligence is being rapidly applied to modern manufacturing and human–cyber–physical systems.

智能技术在制造业的应用对于全世界的科研人员及制造行业来说已经成为了一个热门话题。"Smart manufacturing"(SM)和"Intelligent manufacturing"(IM)这两个名词已被科研人员和制造业从业者作为专用术语广泛使用。虽然SM和IM看上去是类似的,但两者也有一定区别。从智能制造这一名词诞生发展至今,很少有文献考证SM与IM的定义、理念、内涵及技术发展是否一致。为了弥补这个漏洞,本研究通过对以往文献进行定性和定量的分析,系统地比较SM和IM的差异,并阐明两者之间的联系。通过对文献来源、年发行量、关键词频率和研究发展的主要领域进行文献计量分析,可以得出当前智能制造研究的范围和发展趋势。同时,本文对SM与IM的起源、定义、发展及关键技术进行讨论,并对实现架构、行业标准、国家/地区发展重点进行了比较分析。随着工业4.0的发展,人工智能迅速地应用在现代制造业与人-信息-物理系统,SM与IM这两个概念有合二为一的发展趋势,因此深入理解SM和IM变得越来越重要,本研究将为此提供支撑。

Risk of conduction disturbances following different transcatheter aortic valve prostheses:the role of aortic valve calcifications

OBJECTIVES To assess the impact of prosthesis choice and aortic valve calcifications on the occurrence of conduction disturb-ances after transcatheter aortic valve implantation(TAVI).METHODS We retrospectively analyzed the preoperative clinical characteristics,electrocardiograms,contrast-enhanced mul-tidetector computed tomography scans and procedural strategies of patients who underwent TAVI in our center between January 2012 and June 2017.Quantification of calcium volume was performed for each aortic cusp above(aortic valve)and below(left ventricular outflow tract,LVOT)the basal plane.Multivariate analysis was performed to evaluate risk factors for the onset of new bundle branch block(BBB),transient and permanent atrioventricular block(tAVB,pAVB).RESULTS A total of 569 patients were included in the study.Six different prostheses were implanted(Edwards Sapien XT,n=162;Edwards Sapien 3,n=240;Medtronic CoreValve,n=27;Medtronic CoreValve Evolut R,n=21;Symetis Acurate,n=56;Sy-metis Acurate neo,n=63).The logistic regression analysis for BBB showed association with baseline left anterior hemiblock.The logistic regression for tAVB,found the prior valvuloplasty and the balloon post-dilatation associated with the outcome.Baseline left and right BBB,degree of oversizing,and LVOT calcification beneath the non-coronary cusp were associated with pAVB.Neither the prosthesis model,nor the use of a self-expandable prosthesis showed statistical significance with the above-men-tioned outcomes on univariate analysis.CONCLUSIONS LVOT calcification beneath the non-coronary cusp,baseline left anterior hemiblock,right BBB,balloon post-dilatation,prior valvuloplasty and oversizing are independently associated with postprocedural conduction disturbances after TAVI.Use of a self-expandable prosthesis may show a lower incidence of AVB,if applied in lower calcified aortic valves.

Aim： To test the hypothesis that sildenafil （50 mg nightly for one year） can improve spontaneous erectile function （EF） in men with mild-to-moderate arteriogenic erectile dysfunction （ED） responsive to erectogenic treatment. Methods： In a prospective open-label trial, 112 men with ED were randomized to sildenafil 50 mg nightly or sildenafil 50 or 100 mg as needed for 12 months, followed by one-month and 6-month non-medicated periods. Non-randomized, non-medicated men with ED were also assessed. The EF domain of the International Index of Erectile Function （IIEF EF） and the peak systolic velocity （PSV） of penile cavernous arteries were used to measure the efficacy. Results： After sildenafil treatment and a subsequent non-medicated month, IIEF EF was normal in 29 of 48 （60.4%, 95% confidence interval [CI]： 45.3-74.2%） of the nightly group vs. 4 of 49 （8.2%, 95% CI： 2.3-19.6%） of the as-needed group. PSV improved by 11.2 cm/s （95% CI： 4.7-21.4; P = 0.012） in the nightly group but only by 3.4 cm/s （-5.1- 14.7; P = 0.435） in the as-needed group. IIEF EF normalized in 1 of 18 （5.6%, 95% CI： 0.1-27.3%） non-medicated men and the PSV declined slightly. Six months after treatment, the IIEF EF remained normal and PSV was stabilized in most （28/29, 97%） nightly group men who had initially normalized. Conclusion： Sildenafil nightly for one year resulted in ED regression that persisted well beyond the end of treatment, so that spontaneous EF was characterized as normal on the IIEF in most men. The results from this open-label, randomized trial warrant verification under double-blind, placebo-controlled conditions.

End-Triassic ammonoid and bivalve faunas of the Germig area, Tibetan Himalaya, lived in a tropical, shallow-water environment during the Triassic-Jurassic boundary interval. High stratigraphic resolution based on ammonite-biochrons allows to tracing the place of origin of several faunal elements. The bivalves Aguilerella and Ctenostreon occurred first in the Tibetan Himalaya and migrated from there to the eastern South Pacific, exhibiting a pantropic dispersal pattern. This dispersal route is supported by the distribution pattern of the ammonites Choristoceras, Discamphiceras, Pleuroacanthites, and Psiloceras calliphyllum. A few taxa, which went extinct everywhere else by the end of the Triassic, survived in the Tibetan Himalaya into early Early Jurassic times. They include the ammonites Choristoceras and Eopsiloceras, and the bivalves Newaagia, Terquemia, Persia, Ryderia guangdongensis, and Cultriopsis angusta. This suggests that the Tibetan Himalaya may have played a refugia role in the course of the end-Triassic mass extinction.

Sequence architecture of a Jurassic ramp succession from Gebel Maghara(North Sinai,Egypt):Implications for eustasy

The Jurassic succession at Gebet Maghara, North Sinai, Egypt, represents a mixed carbonate-siticictastic sequence. Combining information from both fossits and rocks attowed a ptausibte reconstruction of the depositionat environments and of the basin evotution. The Ju- rassic succession of Gebel Maghara was deposited on a ramp, and the architecture of the ramp facies was strongty controtted not onty by sea-revel changes but atso by extensionat tectonics in connection with rifting of the Tethys, North Gondwana. Seven tectonicalty modified thirdorder sequences （DS 1-DS 7） have been recognized. The first three sequences （DS 1-DS 3）, ranging from the Toarcian to the Bajocian, record sea invasion （intertidat to shattow subtida[lconditions） across an intracratonic area as a resutt of eustatic sea-fever changes during a quiescent rift stage. The remaining sequences （DS 4-DS 7） reflect open marine mid to outer ramp settings. Non-marine conditions around the Bajocian-Bathonian boundary, documented by catiche, represent the maximum regression of the sea. During an active extensionat stage, horsts, which formerty acted as barriers separating the Maghara sub-basin from the main ocean, subsided. Subsequent rejuvenation and reactivation of fautts shifted the homoctinat physiography of the ramp to a distatty steepened ramp during the earty Bathonian, creating a 200-m-thick dettaic wedge. SimiLar processes during the earty Kimmeridgian created a catcirudite-catcarenite succession of stope origin. The diversity and the epifaunat/infaunat percentage of the macrofauna disptay a cyctic pattern which coincides more or tess with the sequence stratigraphic architecture.

AIM:To assess the effects of bile and pancreatic juice on structural and mechanical resistance of extracellular matrices(ECMs) in vitro.METHODS:Small-intestinal submucosa(SIS),porcine dermal matrix(PDM),porcine pericardial matrix(PPM) and bovine pericardial matrix(BPM) were incubated in human bile and pancreatic juice in vitro.ECMs were examined by macroscopic observation,scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and testing of mechanical resistance.RESULTS:PDM dissolved within 4 d after exposure to bile or pancreatic juice.SIS,PPM and PDM retained their integrity for > 60 d when incubated in either digestive juice.The effect of bile was found to be far more detrimental to mechanical stability than pancreatic juice in all tested materials.In SIS,the loss of mechanical stability after incubation in either of the digestive secretions was less distinct than in PPM and BPM [mFmax 4.01/14.27 N(SIS) vs 2.08/5.23 N(PPM) vs 1.48/7.89 N(BPM)].In SIS,the extent of structural damage revealed by SEM was more evident in bile than in pancreatic juice.In PPM and BPM,structural damage was comparable in both media.CONCLUSION:PDM is less suitable for support of gastrointestinal healing.Besides SIS,PPM and BPM should also be evaluated experimentally for gastrointestinal indications.

Interbasinal marker intervals——A case study from the Jurassic basins of Kachchh and Jaisalmer, western India

The Kachchh Basin and the Jaisalmer Basin are two neighboring Mesozoic sedimentary basins at the western margin of the Indian craton. The Jurassic succession of the Kachchh Basin is more complete and more fossiliferous than that of the Jaisalmer Basin. Consequently, intrabasinal correlation of the sedimentary units has been possible in the Kachchh Basin, but not in the Jaisalmer Basin. However, some marker beds existing in the Kachchh Basin can be recognized also in the Jaisalmer Basin. Ammonite evidence shows that they are time-equivalent. The following four units form marker intervals in both basins: (1) the pebbly rudstone unit with Isastrea bernardiana and Leptosphinctes of the Kaladongar Formation (Kachchh Basin) and the Isastrea bernardiana-bearing rudstone of the Jaisalmer Formation (Jaisalmer Basin) both represent transgressive systems tract deposits dated as Late Bajocian; (2) bioturbated micrites with anomalodesmatan bivalves within the Goradongar Yellow Flagstone Member (Kachchh Basin) and bioturbated units in the Fort Member (Jaisalmer Basin) represent maximum flooding zone deposits of the Middle to Late Bathonian; (3) trough-crossbedded, sandy packto grainstones of the Raimalro Limestone Member (Kachchh Basin) and the basal limestone-sandstone unit of the Kuldhar section of the Jaisalmer Formation (Jaisalmer Basin) correspond to Late Bathonain transgressive systems tract deposits; and (4) ferruginous ooid-bearing carbonates with hardgrounds of the Dhosa Oolite member (Kachchh Basin) and the middle part of the Jajiya Member (Jaisalmer Basin) are Oxfordian transgressive systems tract deposits. The fact that in both basins similar biofacies prevailed during certain time intervals demonstrates a common control of their depositional history. As the two basins represent different tectonic settings, the most likely controlling factors were the relative sea-level changes produced by eustatic processes, a common subsidence history of the northwestern margin of the Indian craton, and the paleoclimate.
