Accuracy comparison and improvement for state of health estimation of lithium-ion battery based on random partial recharges and feature engineering

state of health(sOh)estimation of e-mobilities operated in real and dynamic conditions is essential and *** of existing estimations are based on a fixed constant current charging and discharging aging profiles,which overlooked the fact that the charging and discharging profiles are random and not complete in real *** work investigates the influence of feature engineering on the accuracy of different machine learning(ML)-based sOh estimations acting on different recharging sub-profiles where a realistic battery mission profile is *** features were extracted from the battery partial recharging profiles,considering different factors such as starting voltage values,charge amount,and charging sliding ***,features were selected based on a feature selection pipeline consisting of filtering and supervised ML-based subset *** linear regression(MLR),Gaussian process regression(GpR),and support vector regression(sVR)were applied to estimate sOh,and root mean square error(RMse)was used to evaluate and compare the estimation *** results showed that the feature selection pipeline can improve sOh estimation accuracy by 55.05%,2.57%,and 2.82%for MLR,GpR and sVR *** was demonstrated that the estimation based on partial charging profiles with lower starting voltage,large charge,and large sliding window size is more likely to achieve higher *** work hopes to give some insights into the supervised ML-based feature engineering acting on random partial recharges on sOh estimation performance and tries to fill the gap of effective sOh estimation between theoretical study and real dynamic application.

Background:skeletal muscle energetics decline with age,and physical activity(pA)has been shown to offset these declines in older ***,many studies reporting these effects were based on self-reported pA or structured exercise ***,we examined the associations of accelerometry-measured and self-reported pA and sedentary behavior(sB)with skeletal muscle energetics and explored the extent to which pA and sedentary behavior would attenuate the associations of age with muscle ***:As part of the study of Muscle,Mobility and Aging,enrolled older adults(n=879),810(age=76.4±5.0 years old,mean±sD;58%women)had maximal muscle oxidative capacity measured ex vivo via high-resolution re spirometry of permeabilized myofibers(maximal oxidative phosphorylation(maxOXphOs))and in vivo by ^(31)phosphorus magnetic resonance spectroscopy(maximal adenosine triphosphate(ATp_(max))).Accelerometry-measured sedentary behavior,light activity,and moderate-to-vigorous pA(MVpA)were assessed using a wrist-worn ActiGraph GT9X over 7 ***-reported sedentary behavior,MVpA,and all pA were assessed with the Community healthy Activities Model program for seniors(ChAMps)*** regression models with progressive covariate adjustments evaluated the associations of sedentary behavior and pA with muscle energetics,as well as the attenuation of the age/muscle energetics association by MVp A and sedentary *** a sensitivity analysis,we also examined activpAL-measured daily step count and time spent in sedentary behavior and their associations with muscle ***:every 30 min/day more of ActiGraph-measured MVpA was associated with 0.65 pmol/(s×mg)higher maxOXphOs and 0.012 mM/s higher ATp_(max)after adjusting for age,site/technician,and sex(pht activity was not associated with maxOXphOs or ATp_(max).Meanwhile,every 30 min/day spent in ActiGraph-measured sedentary behavior was associated with 0.39 pmol/s×mg lower maxOXphOs and0.

Comprehensive review of hepatocellular carcinoma with portal vein tumor thrombus:state of art and future perspectives

Background:Despite advances in the diagnosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(hCC),70%-80%of patients are diagnosed with advanced stage *** vein tumor thrombus(pVTT)is among the most ominous signs of advanced stage disease and has been associated with poor survival if *** sources:A systematic search of MeDLINe(pubMed),embase,Cochrane Library and Database for systematic Reviews(CDsR),Google scholar,and National Institute for health and Clinical excellence(NICe)databases until December 2022 was conducted using free text and Mesh terms:hepatocellular carcinoma,portal vein tumor thrombus,portal vein thrombosis,vascular invasion,liver and/or hepatic resection,liver transplantation,and systematic ***:Centers of surgical excellence have reported promising results related to the individualized surgical management of portal thrombus versus arterial chemoembolization or systemic *** elements to the individualized surgical management of hCC and portal thrombus include precise classification of the portal vein tumor thrombus,accurate identification of the subgroups of patients who may benefit from resection,as well as meticulous surgical *** review addressed five specific areas:(a)formation of pVTT;(b)classifications of pVTT;(c)controversies related to clinical guidelines;(d)surgical treatments versus non-surgical approaches;and(e)characterization of surgical techniques correlated with classifications of ***:Current evidence from Chinese and Japanese high-volume centers demonstrated that patients with hCC and associated pVTT can be managed with surgical resection with acceptable results.

The Fort d’Issy-Vanves-Clamart(FIVC)braced excavation in France is analyzed to provide insights into the geotechnical serviceability assessment of excavations at great depth within deterministic and probabilistic *** FIVC excavation is excavated at 32 m below the ground surface in parisian sedimentary basin and a plane-strain finite element analysis is implemented to examine the wall deflections and ground surface settlements.A stochastic finite element method based on the polynomial chaos Kriging metamodel(MsFeM)is then proposed for the probabilistic *** with field measurements and former studies are carried *** academic cases are then conducted to investigate the great-depth excavation stability regarding the maximum horizontal wall deflection and maximum ground surface *** results indicate that the proposed MsFeM is effective for probabilistic analyses and can provide useful insights for the excavation design and construction.A sensitivity analysis for seven considered random parameters is then *** soil friction angle at the excavation bottom layer is the most significant one for *** soil-wall interaction effects on the excavation stability are also given.

As the sole obligate symbiotic birds in Africa,oxpeckers offer a unique model for studying symbiotic *** to the multitrophic level they occupy and the context dependent foraging behavior they exhibit,the type of symbiotic relationship can be *** addition to providing a cleaning service to the host by removing ticks,oxpeckers frequently feed on blood,mucus,and saliva,inflicting potential damage on the ***,we used DNA metabarcoding on faecal samples to analyze the taxonomic composition of the trophic interactions of the Yellow-billed Oxpecker(Buphagus africanus)and Red-billed Oxpecker(***)in northeastern *** contrast to conventional methods,DNA metabarcoding allows for a detailed identification of dietary resources encompassing both mammal hosts and consumed arthropods within the same *** this information,we examined differences in the diet composition between oxpecker species and localities,as well as the co-occurrence between host and arthropod *** findings revealed that oxpeckers predominantly source their diet from mammals,ticks,and flies;however,ticks and flies rarely co-occur in the diet of an *** observed variability among individuals in their feeding ecology,which is strongly correlated with locality and,to a lesser extent,with the mammal *** noted a high degree of mobility between hosts within relatively short periods,with 32%of the samples showing traces of at least two mammal *** study illustrates the dynamic foraging behavior of these specialized symbiotic birds,shedding light on their potential role in pest control services and disease transmission.

A means to develop a comparative assessment of the risks of available wastewater effluent disposal options on a local scale needs to be developed to help local decision-makers make decisions on options such as direct or indirect potable reuse options. These options have garnered more interest as a result of water supply limitations in many urban areas. This risk assessment was developed from a risk assessment developed at the University of Miami in 2001 and Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in 2023. direct potable reuse and injection wells were deemed to have the lowest risk in the most recent study by FAU. however, the injection well option may not be available everywhere. As a result, a more local means to assess exposure risk is needed. This paper outlines the process to evaluate the public health risks associated with available disposal alternatives which may be very limited in some areas. The development of exposure pathways can help local decision-makers define the challenges, and support later expert level analysis upon which public health decisions are based.

Background:physiological and biochemical processes across tissues of the body are regulated in response to the high demands of intense physical activity in several occupations,such as firefighting,law enforcement,military,and sports.A better understanding of such processes can ultimately help improve human performance and prevent illnesses in the work ***:To study regulatory processes in intense physical activity simulating real-life conditions,we performed a multi-omics analysis of 3 biofluids(blood plasma,urine,and saliva)collected from 11 wildland firefighters before and after a 45 min,intense exercise *** profiles ***-exercise were compared by student’s t-test followed by pathway analysis and comparison between the different omics ***:Our multi-omics analysis identified and quantified 3835 proteins,730 lipids and 182 metabolites combining the 3 different types of *** blood plasma analysis revealed signatures of tissue damage and acute repair response accompanied by enhanced carbon metabolism to meet energy *** urine analysis showed a strong,concomitant regulation of 6 out of 8 identified proteins from the renin-angiotensin system supporting increased excretion of catabolites,reabsorption of nutrients and maintenance of fluid *** saliva,we observed a decrease in 3 pro-inflammatory cytokines and an increase in 8 antimicrobial peptides.A systematic literature review identified 6 papers that support an altered susceptibility to respiratory ***:This study shows simultaneous regulatory signatures in biofluids indicative of homeostatic maintenance during intense physical activity with possible effects on increased infection susceptibility,suggesting that caution against respiratory diseases could benefit workers on highly physical demanding jobs.

Research on bivalves is fast-growing,including genome-wide analyses and genome *** characteristics qualify oysters as a valuable model to explore repetitive DNA sequences and their genome *** we char-acterize the satellitomes of five species in the family Ostreidae(Crassostrea angulata,***,***,***,Ostrea edulis),revealing a substantial number of satellite DNAs(satDNAs)per genome(ranging between 33 and 61)and peculiarities in the composition of their *** satDNAs were either associated to or derived from transposable elements,displaying a scarcity of transposable element-unrelated satDNAs in these *** to the non-conventional satellitome constitution and dominance of helitron-associated satDNAs,comparative satellitomics demanded more in-depth analyses than standardly *** analyses(including ***,the first bivalve species with a defined satellitome)revealed that 13 satDNAs occur in all six oyster genomes,with Cg170/hindiII satDNA being the most abundant in all of *** the“satDNA library model”highlighted the necessity to adjust this term when studying tandem repeat evolution in organisms with such *** repetitive sequences with potential variation in the organizational form and repeat-type affiliation are examined across related species,the introduction of the terms“Te library”and“repetitive DNA library”becomes essential.
