8-Hydroxyquinoling aluminum (Alq3) and 11, 11, 12, 12-tetracyano-9, 10-anthraquino dimethane(TCAQ) monolayer films and their heterostructure complex films were prepared by a vacuum deposition method. By means of surface photovoltage spectroscopy (SPS) and electric field-induced surface photovoltage spectroscopy (EFISPS), the band gaps of TCAQ and Alq3 monolayer films and the properties of the Alq3/TCAQ bilayer film were investigated. By analysing the mechanism and the results of the SPS and the EFISPS, a reasonable energy band structure of the Alq3/TCAQ complex film was roughly determined.

Ladderlike polyhydroxypropylsilsesquioxane (HO-T) was synthesized by alcoholysis of ladderlike poly(3-propionyloxy-propyl)silsesquioxane. The HO-T was characterized by GPC, IR, NMR, DSC, TGA and X-ray diffraction methods. Through hydrogen-bonding interaction, ladderlike polymer (HO-T) can form a supramolecular complex with somewhat regular structure.

Since 1990,China has made considerable progress in resolving the problem of“treatment difficulty”of cardiovascular diseases(CVD).The prevalent unhealthy lifestyle among Chinese residents has exposed a massive proportion of the population to CVD risk factors,and this situation is further worsened due to the accelerated aging population in *** remains one of the greatest threats to the health of Chinese *** terms of the proportions of disease mortality among urban and rural residents in China,CVD has persistently ranked *** 2021,CVD accounted for 48.98%and 47.35%of deaths in rural and urban areas,*** out of every five deaths can be attributed to *** implement a national policy“focusing on the primary health institute and emphasizing prevention”and truly achieve a shift of CVD prevention and treatment from hospitals to communities,the National center for Cardiovascular Diseases has organized experts from relevant fields across China to compile the“Report on Cardiovascular Health and Diseases in China”annually since *** 2024 report is established based on representative,published,and high-quality big-data research results from cross-sectional and cohort population epidemiological surveys,randomized controlled clinical trials,large sample registry studies,and typical community prevention and treatment cases,along with data from some projects undertaken by the National center for Cardiovascular *** firsthand data not only enrich the content of the current report but also provide a more timely and comprehensive reflection of the status of CVD prevention and treatment in China.

The electrochemical copolymerization of aniline and N,N,N'-trimethylthionin (azure B) in aqueous solutions has been carried out using the potential sweep method. The optimum conditions for the coelectrodeposition are that the pH value and the temperature of the electrolytic solution are controlled at 5.57 and 30 degreesC, respectively, and the scan potential range is set between -0.25 and 1.10 V (versus SCE). The copolymerization rate of aniline and azure B is about 3 times larger than that of aniline in the absence of azure B. The copolymerization of aniline and azure B was verified from the results of visible spectra during electrolysis, FTIR spectra and the atomic force microscopy (AFM) images of the polymers. The in situ visible spectrum for the electrolysis of the solution containing aniline and azure B is different from that of the respective aniline and azure B. The FTIR spectrum of the copolymer is not a superposition of that of polyaniline and poly(azure B). The AFM image of the copolymer is different from those of polyaniline and poly(azure B) and is not a mixture of individual polymers. The conductivity of the copolymer synthesized at pH 5.57 is four orders of magnitude higher than that of polyaniline synthesized under the same conditions, but in the absence of azure B. The electrochemical properties of the copolymer are mainly attributed to polyaniline, but the copolymer has a better electrochemical reversibility and a much faster charge transfer than those of polyaniline.

Two types of nanocrystalline porous TiO2 electrodes were prepared by the hydrothermal and painting methods. The incident photon-to-current efficiency and photoelectrical conversion efficiency were both improved by chemical treatments of titanium tetrachloride and titanium isopropoxide. The surface roughness, quantities of adsorbed dye, photocurrent-voltage curves, IR spectra and UV-visible absorption spectra were measured, and the mechanism of chemical treatments was discussed.

A strategy with label-free quantification of the targeted peptides for quantitative peptidome analysis of human serum

Peptidomics draws more and more attention in discovering useful biomarkers for early diagnosis of disease. However, there is lack of efficient quantification strategy in peptidome analysis. In this study, a strategy with label-free quantification of the targeted endogenous peptides based on peak intensity using μUPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS was developed for quantitative peptidome analysis of human serum. Different amounts of standard BSA tryptic digesting peptides were added into the same serum extracts for evaluation of the developed strategy, and it was observed that the average relative error of the targeted peptides was 6.42%, which was superior to the result obtained directly by commercially available software PLGS. It was also demonstrated that this quantification strategy could obviously increase the detection sensitivity of the peptide by DDA analysis. Then, this strategy was applied to comparatively analyze the peptides extracted from the serum of HCC or breast cancer patients and healthy individuals, respectively. Peptides with charge states up to 5 and molecular weight over 4000 can be reliably identified and quantified. This quantitative analysis method based on μUPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS exhibited superior sensitivity than that by MALDI-TOF-MS commonly used in peptidome analysis. Finally, some interesting endogenous peptides related to corresponding diseases were successfully obtained.

Human serum albumin （HSA） is a plasma protein responsible for the binding and transport of fatty acids and a variety of exogenous chemicals such as drugs and environmental pollutants. Such binding plays a crucial role in determining the ADME （absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion） and bioavailability of the pollutants. The binding interaction between HSA and acetic acid （C2）, octanoic acid （C8） and dodecanoic acid （C12） has been investigated by the combination of site-specific fluorescent probe, tryptophan intrinsic fluorescence and tyrosine electrochemistry. For the study of the fatty acid interaction with the two drug-binding sites on HSA, two fluorescent probes, dansylamide and dansyl-L-proline were employed in the displacement measurements. Intrinsic fluorescence of tryptophan in HSA was monitored upon addition of the fatty acids into HSA. Electrocatalyzed response of the tyrosine residues in HSA by a redox mediator was used to investigate the binding interaction. Qualitatively, observations from these three approaches were very similar. HSA did not show any change in the fluorescence and electrochemical experiments after mixing with C2, suggesting there is no significant interaction with the short-chain fatty acid. For C8, the measured signal dropped in a single-exponential mode, indicating an independent and non-cooperative binding. The calculated association constant and binding ratio were 3.1 × 10^6 L/mol and 1 with drug binding Site Ⅰ, 1.1 × 107 L/mol and 1 with Site Ⅱ, and 7.0× 0^4 L/mol and 4 with the tryptophan site, respectively. The measurements with C12 displayed multiple phases of fluorescence change, suggesting cooperativity and allosteric effect of the C12 binding. These results correlate well with those obtained by the established methods, and validate the new approach as a viable tool to study the interactions of environmental pollutants with biological molecules.
