Current Status of Sludge Collection, transportation and Treatment in Ho Chi Minh City

In the process of construction and development, Ho Chi Minh City is discharging about six types of sludge: 1) sludge from urban wastewater drainage systems;2) sludge from industrial wastewater drainage system;3) sludge from the canal dredging activities periodically;4) sludge from septic tanks;5) sludge from the water treatment station/plant;6) sludge from the construction sites. Sludge’s components are very different among types of sludge, sludge from the sewer network and canal dredging contain mainly sand and soil (70% - 90% dry weight), while the sludge from the wastewater/water treatment station/plant and from septic tanks contain mainly biodegradable organic substances (55% - 80% dry weight). The concentrations of all above-mentioned sludge (except sludge from the hazardous industrial wastewater treatment plant) are lower than toxic threshold. The volume of total sludge is about 3000 - 4000 m3/day (5000 - 6000 tons/day), excepting the amount of sludge generated from the water treatment plant (which is collected and treated separately). Sludge from wastewater treatment plants and septic tanks is collected, transported and recycled to become organic fertilizer. The other types of sludge are collected, transported, and disposed at the “unknown” locations, even though they have different values for use.

In recent years,water for agricultural production gradually became a significant challenge in the context of climate change in *** solutions are required,which consider the use of resources for both human needs and ecology,and that account for the equitable distribution and the livelihood of the farmers now and in the *** particular,the farmers in the province of Quang Nam faring water shortage in the cultivation of paddy in the summer-autumn *** arise regarding the sharing of the water between the farmers,the drinking water company and the hydropower *** the context of climate change,the water shortage is expected to increase in the *** article presents the results of participatory action research (PAR) approach to develop a local level mechanism for water sharing,in which stakeholders actively *** sharing mechanism was developed,envisioning a sustainable solution for inclusive water *** mechanism was successfully implemented in two cases,one at commune level (Tho stream) and one at the district level (Mo stream).The participatory approach proved to be successful in setting up a broadly acceptable mechanism that will need to be further incorporated in the institutional set-up.

Religion is one of the social entities that has had a significant impact on the *** study’s goals are to investigate the relationship between well-being and fear of COVID-19,as well as to test whether religious beliefs mediate the effect of wellbeing on fear of *** sample comprised of 433 participants in *** Sample t-Test,One-way ANOVA,mediation analysis were used to analyze the *** the levels of well-being,individuals who engage in religious services daily have higher levels than those hardly and never attend,and people from the age of 18 to 30 have higher levels than individuals from 31 to above 60 *** addition,people aged from 51 to above 60 have higher levels of religious beliefs than people aged from 18 to *** experience more fear of COVID-19 compared to *** latter illustrates that religious beliefs mediate the effect of well-being on fear of *** workers and clinicians must prioritize older adults and people with chronic diseases for early mental interventions,and they should be aware of the role of religion in psychological treatment integration.

The objective of this research is to propose and confirm a new machine learning approach of Best-First tree(BFtree),AdaBoost(AB),MultiBoosting(MB),and Bagging(Bag)ensembles for potential groundwater mapping and assessing role of influencing *** Yasuj-Dena area(Iran)is selected as a case *** this regard,a Yasuj-Dena database was established with 362 springs locations and 12 groundwater-influencing factors(slope,aspect,elevation,stream power index(SPI),length of slope(LS),topographic wetness index(TWI),topographic position index(TPI),land use,lithology,distance from fault,distance from river,and rainfall).The database was employed to train and validate the proposed groundwater *** area under the curve(AUC)and statistical metrics were employed to check and confirm the quality of the *** result shows that the BFTree-Bag model(AUC=0.810,kappa=0.495)has the highest prediction performance,followed by the BFTree-MB model(AUC=0.785,kappa=0.477),and the BFTree-MB model(AUC=0.745,kappa=0.422).Compared to the benchmark of Random Forests,the BFTree-Bag model performs better;therefore,we conclude that the BFtree-Bag is a new tool should be used for modeling of groundwater potential.

Safe Vegetable Consumption in Hue City:A Case Study of Food Safety Situation in Vietnam

Food safety has become a growing concern for citizens in the modern society when consuming unsafe food that directly impacts public health,life quality and well-being of each *** of Vietnam in general and specially in Hue city have been facing challenge of vegetable unsafety.A survey concerning the consumption of safe vegetables was conducted in Hue city,*** were collected by using a well-structured questionnaire from representative of 30 consumers,30 producers and 10 *** results showed that lettuce,sweet potato and Chinese mustard were identified as the most important vegetables to consumers in Hue *** of the consumers purchased vegetable every *** cost of vegetable in every transaction was about 30,000 *** expenditure has not created a great motivation for developing safe vegetable *** of the consumers in Hue city showed high interest,demand,trust and satisfaction for safe ***,50%of the consumers reported that the price of the safe vegetable was quite expensive and price was not matched with their ***,there were some disadvantages in each stage of vegetable supply *** example,land,seed,capital,cultivation techniques,preliminary processing,preservation,brand name,trademark and place to consume have not met the requirement of high technology production for the supply chain of safe *** chain linking between the production and consumption of vegetables is not *** and consumers do not have closely *** can not be traced to origin and there is no safe *** consumers believe the quality of vegetables depending on the prestige suppliers,such as,the vegetable shops with foreign *** vegetables of farmers are very difficult to be certified for safe *** and suggestions to Hue city are proposed that it is necessary to establish the vegetable production area in Hue *** growers should be supported w

In this study, polyamide fabrics were dyed with aqueous extracts from Diospyros Mollis fruits. The aqueous extracts from Diospyros Mollis fruits were extracted with water solution at room temperature and a ratio of 1：5 for Diospyros Mollis to water. The influences of temperature in range of 50-100 ℃, time in range of 30-80 minutes and a ratio of aqueous extracts to water in range of 3/1-1/11 were investigated. The results showed that the aqueous extracts from Diospyros Mollis fruits could dye polyamide fabrics to have black color with color strength and fastness properties to be very good level of 4-5.

Community-based tourism (CBT) is considered as one of the typical types of tourism towards sustainable development with three important goals such as bringing back economic benefits, protecting natural environment and preserving indigenous cultural values. Therefore, this paper analyzes the factors that affect community ecotourism development associated with environmental protection in emerging economies, including Vietnam, by the method of key and community tourism potential value assessment with 721 sample surveys. In this paper, we have applied to assess the key factors of tourism in Vietnam and other key points to have more comprehensive solutions to promote the development of community-based tourism with environmental protection. The article has used guest-based approach and method of assessing the key success factors. The results of researching factors to develop community tourist (impacting tourist community needs of tourists) by running Logit function have shown the great influence of factors such as: environmental protection (influence factor +3.585780, with a statistical significance of 99%), security and safety (+3.024816—statistical significance 99%) followed by infrastructure conditions & facilities for the community based tourism, the level of information etc… for your community based tourism needs. From the research results, we propose the following policy groups: 1) Developing guidelines for CBT, the first step as a basis for the development of community based tourism laws later;2) Policies related to the implementation of planning, development of key community tourist areas and destinations;3) Policies related to the development of community-based tourism associated with the protection of natural and cultural environments;4) Policies related to tourism management;coordinating monitoring of community tourism resource points;policies related to the local community in community tourism development;5) Policies related to human resource development;promo

The diversity of aquatic resources in thi Nai Lagoon decreased due to the lack of harmonious use and integrated long-term planning on the use of living *** remained a lack of mechanisms and regulations for coordination of activities in the lagoon by Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee(PPC).The aim of the study was to investgate the aquatic species and water quality in thi Nai Lagoon,*** were collected at 23 different points on thi Nai Lagoon,with three replicates at each *** were 106 species of fish presented on the lagoon and in different sizes,including 17 mollusc species and 15 crustaceans *** the dry season,there were 167 phytoplankton species in five divisions,10 classes in 39 orders in 59 families including 77 *** had eight chordata in 10 classes of 18 orders including 44 families,64 genus and 102 *** had the largest number of species,78 species,accounting for 76.5%of total *** the rainy season,only 48 species of Arthropoda,Cnidaria,Annelida,Chaetognatha and Rotifer were affected and some were not encountered in the wet season,such as mollusca and *** water quality variables were still good for aquaculture,within permitted limits of TCVN standard and criteria,there were still problems caused by production discharges and living activities of inhabitants around the lagoon,such as sedimentary matters.

Salmonella and *** possess different surface protein structures that can induce protective immune *** of these proteins capacitates development of diverse applications in prevention and diagnosis that contribute to effectively control disease-causing enterobacteria pathogens such as Salmonella and ***.A simple procedure for obtaining protein complexes of Salmonella serotypes and *** is performed in this study.A sonication process with heat treatment of whole bacteria induced the release of protein *** of the protein extract was quantified using protein quantification Kits-Rapid,and protein complex profile was obtained by SDS-PAGE(Sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis)and silver *** concentrations of protein ranged from 29.45 to 45.35μg/mL in the Salmonella protein extracts,and from 25.35 to 36.72μg/mL in the *** protein *** major groups of proteins from ***(YfiO,NipB,OmpF,YfgL,Talc,YaeT)and four major groups of proteins from Salmonella(Flagellin,OmpA,Porin,SEF21)were preliminarily determined by a simple procedure of extraction based on the molecular weight.
