In thiswork,the perovskite LaZnO_(3) was synthesized via sol-gel method and applied for photocatalytic treatment of sulfamethizole(SMZ)antibiotics under visible light *** was almost completely degraded(99.2%±0.3%)within 4 hr by photocatalyst LaZnO_(3) at the optimal dosage of 1.1 g/L,with amineralization proportion of 58.7%±0.4%.The efficient performance of LaZnO_(3) can be attributed to itswide-range light absorption and the appropriate energy band edge levels,which facilitate the formation of active agents such as·O_(2)^(−),h^(+),and·*** integration of RP-HPLC/Q-TOF-MS and DFT-based computational techniques revealed three degradation pathways of SMZ,which were initiated by the deamination reaction at the aniline ring,the breakdown of the sulfonamidemoieties,and a process known as Smile-type rearrangement and SO2 *** toxicity of SMZ and the intermediateswere analyzed by quantitative structure activity relationship(QSAR),indicating the effectiveness of LaZnO_(3)-based photocatalysis in preventing secondary pollution of the intermediates to the ecosystem during the degradation *** visible-light-activated photocatalyst LaZnO_(3) exhibited efficient performance in the occurrence of inorganic anions and maintained high durability across multiple recycling tests,making it a promising candidate for practical antibiotic treatment.

Effect of silica forms in rice husk ash on the properties of concrete

The strength and durability properties of concrete with or without three types of rice husk ash （RHA）, namely, amorphous, partial crystalline, and crystalline RHA, were investigates. The three types of RHA were added into concrete at a 20% replacement level. Consequently, the pozzolanic reactivity of amorphous RHA was higher than that of partial crystalline and crystalline RHA. Concrete added with amorphous RHA showed excellent characteristics in its mechanical and durability properties. The results showed that the higher the amount of crystalline silica in RHA, the lower the concrete resistivity value became. When compared with each other, concretes with 20% of the ce- ment replaced with these types of RHA achieved similar ultrasonic pulse velocity values, but all were lower than that of the control concrete. The incorporation of these kinds of RHA significantly reduced chloride penetration. The results not only encourage the use of amorphous materials, they also support the application of crystalline or partial crystalline RHA as mineral and pozzolanic admixtures for cement.

Interleaving Guidance in Evolutionary Multi-Objective Optimization

In this paper, we propose a framework that uses localization for multi-objective optimization to simultaneously guide an evolutionary algorithm in both the decision and objective spaces. The localization is built using a limited number of adaptive spheres （local models） in the decision space. These spheres axe usually guided, using some direction information, in the decision space towards the areas with non-dominated solutions. We use a second mechanism to adjust the spheres to specialize on different parts of the Paxeto front by using a guided dominance technique in the objective space. Through this interleaved guidance in both spaces, the spheres will be guided towards different parts of the Paxeto front while also exploring the decision space efficiently. The experimental results showed good performance for the local models using this dual guidance, in comparison with their original version.

A comparative study of three different learning algorithms applied to ANFIS for predicting daily suspended sediment concentration

The modeling and prediction of suspended sediment in a river are key elements in global water recourses and environment policy and management. In the present study, an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System model trained with the Levenberg-Marquardt learning algorithm is considered for time series modeling of suspended sediment concentration in a river. The model is trained and validated using daily river discharge and suspended sediment concentration data from the Schuylkill River in the United States. The results of the proposed method are evaluated and compared with similar networks trained with the common Hybrid and Back-Propagation algorithms, which are widely used in the literature for prediction of suspended sediment concentration. Obtained results demonstrate that models trained with the Hybrid and Levenberg-Marquardt algorithms are comparable in terms of prediction ***, the networks trained with the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm perform better than those trained with the Hybrid approach.

Rare-earth free sensitizer in NaLuCrF_4:Er upconversion material

Upconversion phosphors are known as a material system that can convert near-infrared light into visible/ultraviolet emissions by sequentially absorbing multiple photons. The studies on upconversion materials often use two rare earth(RE) ions as a sensitizer-activator pair. We investigated the influences on luminescence intensity depending on Cr-doping content(x) of hexagonal NaLu_(0.98-x)Cr_xF4 Er_(0.02)(x = 0-0.9)upconversion material by substituting Lu^(3+) ions with Cr^(3+)in the absence of Gd^(3+). The change in upconversion luminescence intensity appears with saddle-like shape. We suggest that Cr^(3+) ions play the dual role as a constituent in host lattice and a sensitizer in the upconversion process. Optimal conditions for gaining the strongest upconversion emission correspond to x = 0.3-0.5, where there are effective energy transfers between Cr^(3+) and Er^(3+) ions and Cr-Er dimers. Apart from these values, the emission intensity decreases rapidly which can be ascribed to the absence of multiple-photon absorption for the case of low Cr^(3+) contents, and to the coupling between Cr^(3+) and/or Er^(3+) ions for the case of high Cr^(3+)contents. Magnetization and electron-spin-resonant measurements were performed to understand the correlation between the optical and magnetic properties.

Hydropower has made a significant contribution to the economic development of Vietnam,thus it is important to monitor the safety of hydropower dams for the good of the country and the *** this paper,dam horizontal displacement is analyzed and then forecasted using three methods:the multi-regression model,the seasonal integrated auto-regressive moving average(SARIMA)model and the back-propagation neural network(BPNN)merging *** monitoring data of the Hoa Binh Dam in Vietnam,including horizontal displacement,time,reservoir water level,and air temperature,are used for the *** results indicate that all of these three methods can approximately describe the trend of dam deformation despite their different forecast ***,their short-term forecasts can provide valuable references for the dam safety.

In recent years,a wide variety of fuzzy time series(FTS)forecasting models have been created and recommended to handle the complicated and ambiguous challenges relating to time series data from real-world ***,the accuracy of a model is problem-specific and varies across data *** a model’s precision varies between different data sets and depends on the situation at *** though many models assert that they are better than statistics and a single machine learning-based model,increasing forecasting accuracy is still a challenging *** the fuzzy time series models,the size of the intervals and the fuzzy relationship groups are thought to be crucial variables that affect the model’s forecasting *** study offers a hybrid FTS forecasting model that makes use of both the graph-based clustering technique(GBC)and particle swarm optimization(PSO)for adjusting interval lengths in the universe of discourse(UoD).The suggested model’s forecasting results have been compared to those provided by other current models on a dataset of enrollments at the University of *** all orders of fuzzy relationships,the suggested model outperforms its counterparts in terms of forecasting accuracy.

Energy-efficient cell-association bias adjustment algorithm for ultra-dense networks

In recent years, energy efficiency has become an important topic, especially in the field of ultradense networks(UDNs). In this area, cell-association bias adjustment and small cell on/off are proposed to enhance the performance of energy efficiency in UDNs. This is done by changing the cell association relationship and turning off the extra small cells that have no users. However, the variety of cell association relationships and the switching on/off of the small cells may deteriorate some users’ data rates, leading to nonconformance to the users’ data rate requirement. Considering the discreteness and non-convexity of the energy efficiency optimization problem and the coupled relationship between cell association and scheduling during the optimization process, it is difficult to achieve an optimal cell-association bias. In this study, we optimize the network energy efficiency by adjusting the cell-association bias of small cells while satisfying the users’ data rate requirement. We propose an energy-efficient centralized Gibbs sampling based cell-association bias adjustment(CGSCA) algorithm. In CGSCA, global information such as channel state information, cell association information, and network load information need to be collected. Then, considering the overhead of the messages that are exchanged and the implementation complexity of CGSCA to obtain the global information in UDNs, we propose an energy-efficient distributed Gibbs sampling based cell-association bias adjustment(DGSCA) algorithm with a lower message-exchange overhead and implementation *** DGSCA, we derive the updated formulas for calculating the number of users in a cell and the users’ SINR. We analyze the implementation complexities(e.g., computation complexity and communication complexity) of the proposed two algorithms and other existing algorithms.
