Today, latent heat storage technology has advanced to allow reuse of waste heat in the middle-temperature range. This paper describes an approach to develop a latent heat storage system using middle-temperature waste heat (~100oC - 200oC) from factories. Direct contact melting and solidification behavior between a heat-transfer fluid (oil) and a latent heat storage material mixture were observed. The mixture consisted of mannitol and erythritol (Cm = 70 mass %, Ce = 30 mass %) as a phase-change material (PCM). The weight of the PCM was 3.0 kg and the flow rate of the oil, foil, was 1.0, 1.5, or 2.0 kg/min. To decrease the solidified height of the PCM mixture during the solidification process, a perforated partition plate was installed in the PCM region in the heat storage vessel. PCM coated oil droplets were broken by the perforated partition plate, preventing the solidified height of the PCM from increasing. The solidification and melting processes were repeated using metal fiber. It was found that installing the metal fiber was more effective than installing the perforated partition plate to prevent the flow out problem of the PCM.

We aimed at reporting the chemical constituents and antimicrobial activities of Leea aequata L.,a traditional folk medicine used in Myanmar for the treatment of wounds and skin diseases.A new neolignan,(7S,8R)-9′-O-acetylcedrusin(1),a new lactam,(3S,4S)-4-chloro-3-hydroxypiperidin-2-one(2),along with 21 known compounds,including fve lignans(3-7),four favonoid glycosides(8-11),and others(12-23),were isolated from the ethanoic extract of the aerial parts of *** structures of the new compounds were determined by NMR,MS,and ECD *** all the antimicrobial tests of the 23 compounds,only 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid ethyl ester(17)showed weak inhibitory activities against Escherichia coli and Salmonella enterica ***.

The stability of underground excavations has become an important issue in order to extend underground mining operations and extract deeper deposits. The increasing demand for Tin-tungsten (Sn-W) for industry and its market price has created a motivation for mining companies to extract deep-seated Sn-W ore deposits in Myanmar. Thus, this paper aims to investigate the stability of underground openings, especially, the stope with considering the mining methods. To meet the objective, FLAC3D 5.0 simulation was used for the assessment of stope under different stress ratios, 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5 for two types of underground mines;Open stoping and Cut and Fill stoping. The results show that the risk of instability of stope is high under the stress ratio of K = 0.5 than that of K = 1.0 and K = 1.5 in both mining methods. However, the stability of the stope in open stope method is lower than that of cut-and-fill method obviously. This result shows that the appropriate mining method has to be selected for extraction of Sn-W deposit carefully in terms of the balance of safety and cost.

目的:探讨生育因素对绝经后妇女患非酒精性脂肪性肝病(nonalcoholic fatty liver,NAFLD)风险的影响。方法:对2014年5～12月在广西医科大学第一附属医院内分泌科住院的绝经后女性患者进行问卷调查,获取患者的基本信息、既往史、生育因素等,并收集相关实验室生化指标。采用Xia等在Obesity杂志上发表的无创超声半定量肝脏脂肪含量新技术测量肝脏脂肪含量(LFC),通过计算机图像分析软件 NIHimage(ImageJ 1.41o,National Institute of Health,Bethesda,MD)测量肝、右肾回声比值及肝近场、远场衰减系数估算患者的肝脏脂肪含量,根据肝脏脂肪含量于四分位数法分为Q1(16岁组NAFLD的患病风险明显低于初潮年龄16岁组的患病风险仍然低于初潮年龄<14岁组(P<0.05)。结论:1.本研究首次采用超声定量方法测量肝脏脂肪含量并诊断NAFLD,绝经后妇女NAFLD的患病率高,约64.4%,需对绝经后妇女提高警惕进行肝脏脂肪含量的测量及NAFLD的筛查。2.初潮年龄小是绝经后妇女患NAFLD的危险因素,且独立于BMI及MetS。临床上,建议与同龄女性相比早初潮的女性进行超声定量肝脏脂肪含量的检查及评估有无患NAFLD,并制定相应的预防措施及治疗方案。3.本研究未发现自然流产、妊娠及生产次数、哺乳时间、绝经年龄和绝经年限与绝经后妇女NAFLD的患病风险之间存在明显相关性。

The system analysis of specific absorption rate(SAR)in human body exposed to a base station antenna by using finite difference time domain techniques was presented in this research *** objectives of this work are to evaluate the knowledge and awareness about SAR among human body and mobile base *** paper investigates the electromagnetic wave absorption inside a human *** human body has been identified using dataset based on 2D object considering different electrical *** SAR convinced inside the human body model exposed to a radiating base station antenna(BSA)has been considered for multiple numbers of carrier frequencies and input power of 20 W/carrier at GSM 900 *** distance(R)of human body from BSA is varied in the range of 0.1 m to 5.0 *** the number of carrier frequency equal to one and R=0.1 m,the concentrated value of whole-body average SAR obtained by FDTD technique is found to be 0.68 W/kg which decreases either with increase of R or decrease of number of carrier *** distance for general public is found to be 1.5 m for number of carrier frequencies equal to *** performance accuracy of this analysis meets the high level condition by comparing with the relevant system development in recent time.

Petrology and Geochemistry of Basalts from Tonnge Area, Tigyaing Township, Sagaing Region, Myanmar

Tonnge basalt is a relatively small basaltic field situated in the Tigyaing Township, Sagaing Region, Myanmar. This basaltic field is considered as one of the occurrences of younger extrusive rocks along the major strike-slip fault of central Myanmar. The basaltic lava flows erupted and rested upon the Upper Miocene-Pliocene Irrawaddy Sandstone. Petrological and geochemical studies of the Tonnge basalts have not been carried out yet. This paper reports the results of petrological and geochemical investigation on the basalts from Tonnge area. These data have provided insight into the origin and petrogenetic processes during evolution. The petrographic characteristics of the basalts have been studied using polarizing microscope. The major- and trace-element compositions of basalt samples were analyzed using X-Ray Fluorescence. The Tonnge basalts are porphyritic, holocrystalline and consist of phenocrysts of olivine, plagioclase ± clinopyroxene which are set in the fine-grained intergranular groundmass of olivine, pyroxene, and opaque minerals. The basalts show typical characters of alkali olivine basalts. Trace element assemblage of the studied basalts plots on various discrimination diagrams as within-plate basalt erupted in the continental setting. A relatively small volume, monogenetic nature and unique geochemical characteristics of the basaltic lavas suggest that they are derived from a single, short-lived, discrete parental magma as a result of partial melting.

GlobeLand30(2010)是第一个30m空间分辨率的全球土地覆盖数据库,由中国国家基础地理信息中心领衔开发完成。为了使用户更好地使用该数据库,同时也为了未来提高数据开发质量,2016年,GEO组织全球相关科学家对GlobeLand30(2010)数据进行了数据质量验证。在世界屋脊生态地理区400万km2区域内,采用景观指数法(LSI),选择了801个验证点,包括:耕地24个、森林127个、草地331个、灌木地116个、湿地2个、水体10个、人造地表1个、裸地171个、冰川和永久积雪19个。验证点上土地覆盖的判读分3步:(1)把验证点转化为30 m×30 m的正方形;(2)把文件转化为Google Earth格式(.kmz);(3)以2010年为基准,利用Google Earth时间序列遥感影像,结合判读10要素进行人工判读,得到判读结果。该数据集包括验证点的点文件和多边形文件。两个文件的属性都包括6个字段:前3个字段(来自抽样阶段)包括SID(样点序号)、LCType(分类代码)和LCName(分类名称)。后3个字段(来自判读阶段)包括CONF(判读可靠性,1表示最好,唯一分类;2表示较好,有两个可能分类;3表示差,不能用);采用Class1(可能的分类1);和Class2(当CONF=2时,可能的分类2),在801个样点中,725个样点的判读可靠性属于1级和2级,占91.51%;按照1级和2级验证点的验证结果,GlobeLand30(2010)分类精度为83.86%。如果只使用Class1验证点,GlobeLand30(2010)分类精度71.72%。数据集存储为16个文件,.shp和.kmz两种格式,数据量550 KB(压缩为3个文件,141 KB)。

Identification of <i>JAK2</i>(V617F) Mutation in Myeloproliferative Neoplasms by Using Allele Specific Polymerase Chain Reaction (AS-PCR)

Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are a group of clonal haematopoietic stem cell disorders characterized by the proliferation of one or more myeloid cell lineages. According to WHO classification, the Janus associated kinase 2 (JAK2) V617F mutation is one of the major diagnostic criteria in BCR-ABL1 negative myeloproliferative neoplasms. The aim of this study is to detect the JAK2 (V617F) mutation in patients with myeloproliferative neoplasms to get accurate diagnosis and proper management. A total of 90 clinically diagnosed MPN patients attending to Department of Clinical Haematology, Yangon General Hospital were enrolled in this study. The mean age was 53.4 ± 14 years which ranged from 16 to 81 years old and male and female ratio was 2.4:1. The identification of JAK2 (V617F) point mutation was found to be positive in 44/90 MPN patients (48.9%). According to MPN subtypes, the JAK2 mutation positivity was found in 19 out of 46 polycythemia vera patients (41.3%), 17 out of 25 essential thrombocythemia patients (68%), 8 out of 15 primary myelofibrosis patients (53.3%), 0 of 4 others myeloproliferative neoplasms (0%). Confirmation of each of nine JAK2 mutation positive and negative samples was done by Sanger sequencing. The arterial or venous thrombotic attack was found in 32/44 JAK2 mutation positive cases (72.7%) and 12/44 JAK2 mutation negative cases (27.3%). The association between thrombotic attack and presence of JAK2 mutation was statistically significance with p = 0.000. The diagnosis of myeloproliferative neoplasms mainly relies on the molecular genetics according to WHO classification. The Allele specific PCR reaction is sensitive, simple test and relatively cost-effective. Therefore, the identification of JAK2 (V617F) somatic point mutation by AS-PCR should be implemented as
