The central provinces in Vietnam always suffer from the negative impacts of floods every year,especially in the downstream *** Tri province in the TBRB(thach Han-Ben Hai River Basin)is one of the provinces suffering heavy damage caused by floods.A 1-dimensional hydrodynamic model was researched and applied connecting 2 dimensions in the MIKE model set(MIKE FLOOD)to simulate inundation level,inundation time,flood flow velocity for communes in *** results for 111 communes in Quang Tri province show that:39 communes(35%)are not flooded;3 communes are flooded below 0.5 m;15 communes are flooded from 0.5-1.0 m,flooding time is about 1 day;30 communes are flooded from 1.0-2.0 m,inundation time is about 2 days;30 communes are flooded over 2.0 m,flooded for about 3 days,especially 3 communes are flooded over 4.0 *** result helps to develop flood prevention plans for localities in the province.

Efficacy of He-Ne Laser in Combination with Topical Clindamycin in the Treatment of Acne Vulgaris (AV)

Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of He-Ne laser in combination with topical clindamycin in the treatment of AV at 108 Military Central Hospital from Oct 2015 to Aug 2016. Subjects and Methods: 61 patients with AV were divided into 2 groups: Group 1: 31 patients were treated with He-Ne laser in combination with topical Clindamycin, Group 2: 30 patients were only treated with topical clindamycin. Laser HE-NE was applied 2 times/week for 6 weeks. Result: After 3 months of treatment Group 1: very good—51.6%, good—48.4%. Group 2: very good—30%, good—50% and moderate—20%. Conclusion: The combination of He-Ne laser with topical clindamycin shows more rapid clinical improvement compared to topical clindamycin alone in the treatment of mild and moderate AV.

Objective:To examine the magnitude of isolated anti-HBc and other HBV serological patterns and associated predictors among adults seeking general health check-up at a large health center in ***:All 564 outpatients seeking general health checkup between January 2016 and December 2016 were asked to undertake HBV surface antigen,surface antibody,IgG and IgM core antibody(anti-HBc total),platelet counts,and liver function *** administered questionnaire was used to collect information regarding demography,in-house sources of infection,lifestyle,health condition and treatment,and HBV ***:Male gender(P=0.043),age(P=0.000),living in urban areas(P=0.040),HBV vaccination status(P=0.033),and ALT(P=0.040) were associated with isolated *** infection was associated with HBV vaccination status(P=0.001),ALT levels(P=0.010),AST levels(P=0.020),and platelet counts(P=0.007).Past/resolved HBV infection was associated with AST levels(P=0.005),ALT levels(P=0.014),and age(P=0.000).Conclusions:Isolated anti-HBc is quite *** of isolated anti-HBc include male gender,living in rural areas,and HBV *** prevalence of isolated anti-HBc also increases with *** timely detect occult HBV infection and prevent transmission,anti-HBc testing should be included in the health check-up for high risk individuals and screening program where HBV nucleic acid test is not *** prevent transmission,clinicians need to pay more attention on those who are at risk of having isolated anti-HBc and closely follow-up patients with isolated anti-HBc and educate them about the prevention of HBV infection.

Prevalence of Female Sexual Dysfunction among Women with Pelvic Organ Prolapse Diagnosed by Pisq-12 and Related Factors in Hung Vuong Hospital, Vietnam

Pelvic organ prolapsed is a common problem today, and it has been gradually increasing because of the longevity of women. Pelvic organ prolapse can result in negative psychological feelings that affect on women’s sexual activity. Methods: There is a cross-sectional study on sexual dysfunction in 296 women with pelvic organ prolapse grade II and III followed up at gynecological-pelvic floor unit of Hung Vuong hospital from 09/2017 to 06/2018. Results: The prevalence of female sexual dysfunction in PISQ-12 was 76.4% and 95% CI [71.6 - 81.2]. The rate of female sexual dysfunction in turn is: 1) Behavioral-Emotional: 93.6% 95% CI [90.8 - 96.4]. 2) Physiology: 62.2% CI 95% [56.7 - 67.7]. 3) Relationship to partner: 89.5% 95% CI [86.0 - 93.0]. Factor related to sexual dysfunction in women with pelvic organs (p < 0.05) is general sexual dysfunction: 1) Age group: women over age 55 increased generally the risk of sexual dysfunction, OR = 5.89, 95% CI [1.38 - 25.20]. 2) Diabetes mellitus increased the risk of sexual dysfunction with OR = 5.03, 95% CI [1.42 - 17.82]. 3) Patients with previous abortions reduced the risk of sexual dysfunction with OR = 0.49 95% CI [0.27 - 0.90]. Conclusion: Research on quality of life in pelvic organ prolapse should be considered more in the future.

Emergency cerclage with advanced cervical dilatation and bulging of fetal membranes is still challenging to obstetricians.?Objective:?To identify the live birth rate after physical examination indicated rescue cerclage. Methods:?A retrospective cohort study of 36 pregnant women, who underwent rescue cerclage at Hung Vuong hospital from January 2015 to January 2019. Selection criteria: cervical dilation 10 to 40 mm, at 20 to 30 gestational weeks. Exclusion criteria: multiple pregnancy, birth defects, pregnancy termination due to maternal or fetal indications. Results: Delivery of live infant rate was 72.22%;mean pregnancy prolongation was 42.8 ±?34.15 days. Early live birth rate was 77.78%. The percentage of delivery after 34 and 37 weeks was 44.45% and 27.78%, respectively. Live birth weight was 400 to 3600?g, with mean being 1878.06 ±?1049.04?g. No procedure-related complication was observed. Conclusions:?Rescue cerclage may be an effective and safe method in prolonging pregnancy and improving neonatal outcome in women with cervical dilation 10 to 40 mm. It should be considered as a viable option for women with a dilated cervix in 20 to 30 gestational weeks. Future controlled studies are needed.

Comparative Analysis on Fruit Qualities of 7 Litchi Varieties from Vietnam

[Objective] The aim was to screen litchi varieties suitable for local production in Vietnam. [Method] The fruit botanical and quality characteristics of the seven litchi varieties introduced into Northern Mountainous Agriculture and Forestry Science Institute of Vietnam Academy of Agriculture Sciences were compared and analyzed. [Result] Three varieties with good general qualities including Lai Phu Ho,thach Binh and Hung Long which were suitable to be cultivated in the local area were selected. In addition,Phu Dong was the available,early-maturing germplasm resource. [Conclusion] This research will provide reference for litchi production and breeding in northern mountainous area.

In recent times,approaches to flood prevention and mitigation have changed a *** changes are to shift the focus from flood control to flood risk management,in which the assessment of vulnerability to floods caused by each sector and field corresponding to each flood magnitude is *** flood vulnerability assessment studies are basically holistic based on factors affected by floods or in aspects:economy,society and ecological environment,and aspects that are mentioned in all areas of social *** content of the flood vulnerability assessment method usually considers 3 components:E(Exposure),S(Susceptibility),A(Adaptability-Recovery).Each component will contain many different variables belonging to different objects and different natural-economic-social characteristics in each ***,for each research area,the evaluation method needs to establish an appropriate set of indicators.A set of indicators used to assess flood vulnerability must:be scientific;be practical;simplify the investigation,collection and synthesis of *** study has established a set of combinatorial indicators including 27 indicators for the T-BRB(thach Han-Ben Hai River Basin)on the basis of analysis and synthesis from case studies.
