Von hippeI-Lindau syndrome （VhL） is a rare autosomal-dominant, inherited familial cancer syndrome. hemangioblastomas, pheochromocytomas and renal carcinoma are the frequent reported VhL tumors. neuroendocrine tumors have also been described, mostly in the pancreas and rarely in the biliary trees. We report the second case of bile duct carcinoid in a 31-year-old VhL woman. She underwent right adrenalectomy for a pheochromocytoma in the past. She also had a positive family history of phenotypic expression of VhL syndrome. The patient presented with biliary colic. Endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography showed intraluminal bile duct mass. Surgical exploration identified a beige nodular lesion that was a carcinoid tumor on histology. This new association should be clarified by further genetic investigations.

Continuous flow has recently emerged as a powerful enabling technology that greatly improves many reactions' efficiency. here, we apply the technology to intermolecular [4+2] annulation of cyclobutylanilines with alkenes, alkynes, and diynes by photoredox catalysis. An across-the-board improvement in the annulation's efficiency is noticed. Moreover, a gram-scale annulation is successfully demonstrated in continuous flow using a much lower catalyst loading.

Objective:To evaluate the outcomes of generic direct-acting antiviral treatments for chronic hepatitis C in ***:The medical records of 522 patients(median 45 years;Female,25.3%)with chronic hepatitis C treated at a tertiary hospital in northern Vietnam in 2016 were retrospectively ***:Female patients were significantly older than male patients(median 52,IQR 41-59 vs.43 years,IQR:39-55;Png 522 patients,49.4%were infected with hepatitis C virus(hCV)genotype 6,followed by 1 a(19.0%),1 b(13.0%),and 3(5.9%).Coinfection with hepatitis B virus or human immunodeficiency virus was noted in 5.8%and 3.1%of patients,*** were treated with ledipasvir/sofosbuvir with or without ribavirin(70.9%),sofosbuvir/pegylated-interferon+ribavirin(13.2%),daclatasvir/sofosbuvir with or without ribavirin(12.5%),or sofosbuvir/ribavirin(3.4%),and 96.4%(n=503)completed the direct-acting antiviral *** patient discontinued treatment due to adverse event(s).A sustained virologic response 12 weeks after the end of the treatment(SVR12)was evaluated in 62.6%of *** sustained virologic response 12 weeks after the end of the treatment was 98.7%regardless of hCV genotypes or direct-acting antiviral *** severity of liver stiffness was significantly decreased from 10.2 to 6.3 kilopascals measured by transient elastography by the treatment(Png patients who completed the directacting antiviral treatment,17.7%returned for further follow-ups after ***:In Vietnam,the current generic direct-acting antiviral treatment for chronic hepatitis C was effective regardless of hCV genotypes and direct-acting antiviral regimens with the attenuation of liver *** is feasible to implement direct-acting antiviral treatment to cure chronic hepatitis C patients at any liver fibrosis stages in Vietnam.

A multiscalar and nonrenormalizable B-L extension of the standard model(SM)with S_(4)symmetry which successfully explains the recently observed neutrino oscillation data is *** tiny neutrino masses and their hierarchies are generated via the type-I seesaw *** model reproduces the recent experiments of neutrino mixing angles and Dirac CP violating phase in which the atmospheric angle(θ_(23))and the reactor angle(θ_(13))get the best-fit values while the solar angle(θ_(12))and Dirac CP violating phase(δ)are in 3σrange of the best-fit value for the normal hierarchy(nh).For the inverted hierarchy(Ih),θ13 gets the best-ft value andθ_(23)together withδare in the lσrange,whileθ12 is in 3δrange of the best-fit *** effective neutrino masses are pre-dicted to be(m_(ee))=6.81 meV for the nh and(m_(ee))=48.48 meV for the Ih,in good agreement with the most re-cent experimental data.
