Analyzing physical activities through wearable devices is a promising research area for improving health *** research focuses on the development of an affordable and real-time human Activity Recognition(hAR)system designed to operate on low-performance *** system utilizes data from a bodyworn accelerometer to recognize and classify human activities,providing a cost-effective,easy-to-use,and highly accurate solution.A key challenge addressed in this study is the execution of efficient motion recognition within a resource-constrained *** system employs a Random Forest(RF)classifier,which outperforms gradient Boosting Decision Trees(gBDT),Support Vector Machines(SVM),and K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN)in terms of accuracy and computational *** proposed features Average absolute deviation(AAD),Standard deviation(STD),Interquartile range(IQR),Range,and Root mean square(RMS).The research has conducted numerous experiments and comparisons to establish optimal parameters for ensuring system effectiveness,including setting a sampling frequency of 50 hz and selecting an 8-s window size with a 40%overlap between *** was conducted on both the WISDM public dataset and a self-collected dataset,focusing on five fundamental daily activities:Standing,Sitting,Jogging,Walking,and Walking the *** results demonstrated high recognition accuracy,with the system achieving 96.7%on the WISDM dataset and 97.13%on the collected *** research confirms the feasibility of deploying hAR systems on low-performance microcontrollers and highlights the system’s potential applications in patient support,rehabilitation,and elderly care.

In sugar industries,the growing amount of sugarcane bagasse ash(SBA),a byproduct released after burning bagasse for producing electricity,is currently causing environmental *** residual ash displays a pozzolanic potential;and hence,it has potential as a cement *** study focuses on enhancing suitability of SBA through incorporating ground blast furnace slag(BFS)in manufacturing self-compacting concretes(SCCs).For this purpose,SBA was processed by burning at 700°C for 1 h,before being ground to the cement fineness of 4010 cm2/*** mixtures were prepared by changing the proportions of SBA and BFS(i.e.,10%,20%,and 30%)in blended systems;and their performance was *** results showed that the presence of amorphous silica was detected for the processed SBA,revealing that the strength activity index was above 80%.The compressive strength of SCC containing SBA(without BFS)could reach 98%–127%of that of the control;combination of SBA and 30%BFS gets a similar strength to the control after 28 *** durability,the 10%SBA+30%BFS mix exhibited the lowest risk of ***,the joint use of SBA and BFS enhanced significantly the SCC’s sulfate ***,a hyperbolic formula for interpolating the compressive strength of the SBA-based SCC was proposed and validated with error range estimated within±10%.

The control synthesis of a high-speed supercavitating vehicle(hSSV)faces many difficulties such as the stability,control,and maneuvering with dynamical uncertainties due to parameter perturbations,exter-nal disturbances,unmodeled dynamics,measurement noises,and actuator *** by the hSSV dynamical analysis,this paper proposes the h∞(i.e."h-infinity")robust control synthesis to gen-erate a robust low-order controller,which is intended for real implementations to ensure active control ***,the presented control scheme includes a feedback component and an anti-windup *** anti-windup synthesis is to provide system stability under actuator ***-tensive simulations show that the designed controller provides good performances with high robustness for vertical plane manoeuver while effectively eliminating planning forces,exogenous disturbances and noises as well as overcoming cavitator saturations.

Background:Strongyloidiasis,a neglected disease caused by intestinal nematodes of the genus,is endemic to tropical and subtropical areas such as *** methods only identify the genus,while DNA-molecular techniques are susceptible in Strongyloides *** study aims to determine the prevalence of dominant Strongyloides species among the population in duc hoa district,Long An,***:A cross-sectional study used 1190 stool specimens collected from July 2017 to November *** samples were transported within 2 h,stored at 2-8℃,and processed within 48 h for microscopy smear and culture at the Laboratory of Medical Parasitology,Pham Ngoc tha.h University of Medicine(PNT).Then all positive samples with the above 2 methods were verified by real-time PCR ***-time PCR amplification was conducted at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology,***:Direct microscopy and modified harada-Mori culture detected Strongyloides *** in 79/1190 sam-ples(6.6%).About 94.2%of the DNA samples were Strongyloides stercoralis,2.9%were co-infections with Strongy-loides ratti and ***,and 2.9%were patients with *** identity of 12/14 sequences was confirmed as *** with a high level of similarity(91.3%-100%)and over 98%for ***:DNA-molecular techniques and sequence analysis are highly suitable for identifying Strongyloides species isolated from stool *** is remarkable evidence of the presence of zoonosis *** disease in human,not just the known *** is likely to result in a certain proportion of people being infected by this animal-borne infectious pathogen.

Structural and luminescent properties of (Eu,Tb) PO_4·h_2O nanorods/nanowires prepared by microwave technique

Nanowires/nanorods of europium/terbium orthophosphate monohydrate with Eu^3＋ concentration of 6, 11, and 20 at.% were prepared by microwave synthesis method. The effects of Eu^3＋ doping concentration on structure, morphology and optical properties of nanomaterials were also investigated. The results showed that, for all studied Eu^3＋ doping concentrations, a single-crystalline phase of rhabdophane-type （Eu,Tb）PO4·h2O nanowires/nanorods was obtained by using microwave heating of an aqueous solution of terbium（Ⅲ） nitrate, europium（Ⅲ） nitrate and Nh4h2PO4 with ph=2. The length and width of these nanowires/nanorods ranged from 150 to 300 nm and from 10 to 50 nm, respectively. The evidence of energy transfer from Tb^3＋ to Eu^3＋ due to the energy overlap between the donor Tb^3＋ and the acceptor Eu^3＋was observed obviously via a significant enhancement in the luminescent intensity of Eu^3＋. The roll motions of ships advancing in heavy seas have severe impacts on the safety of crews,vessels,and cargoes;thus,it must be *** study presents the design of a rudder roll damping autopilot by utilizing the dual extended Kalman filter(DEKF)trained radial basis function neural networks(RBFNN)for the surface *** autopilot system constitutes the roll reduction controller and the yaw motion controller implemented in *** analyzing the advantages of the DEKF-trained RBFNN control method theoretically,the ship’s nonlinear model with environmental disturbances was employed to verify the performance of the proposed stabilization *** sailing scenarios were conducted to investigate the motion responses of the ship in *** results demonstrate that the DEKF RBFNN based control system is efficient and practical in reducing roll motions and following the path for the ship sailing in waves only through rudder actions.

For time-varying non-regressive linear dynamic equations on a time scale with bounded graininess, we introduce the concept of the associative operator with linear systems on time scales. The purpose of this research is the characterizations of the exponential dichotomy obtained in terms of Fredholm property of that associative operator. Particularly, we use Perron’s method, which was generalized on time scales by J. Zhang, M. Fan, h. Zhu in?[1], to show that if the associative operator is semi-Fredholm then the corresponding linear nonautonomous equation has an exponential dichotomy on both?T?+?and?T-.??Moreover, we also give the converse result that the linear systems have?an exponential dichotomy on both?T?+?andT-??then the associative operator is Fredholm on?T.

The aim of this study was to assess the impact of industrial-grade sucrose as external carbon source on post-anoxic denitrification. This was done through the use of lab-scaled Sequencing Batch Reactors （SBRs） modelling after a standard post-anoxic Waste Water Treatment Plant （WWTP）. Each reactor holds an effective volume of approximately 4 L, with the decant volume of 2 L per cycle, a hydraulic Retention Time （hRT） of 8 hours, Sludge Retention Time （SRT） of about 11.5 ± 0.5 days. The experiments showed that adding industrial-grade sucrose into the post-anoxic zone has a very significant improvement where the nitrate removal rate increased from 10% to 68%. The experiment also verifies that most of the Specific Denitrification Rate （SDNR） calculated from the lab-scaled SBRs lie within the range of earlier study （2.29-2.85 mgNO3/gMLVSS/h）, and verified the results of both this experiment and the SDNR batch tests in previous study.
