Micro-leDs(μleDs) have advantages in terms of brightness, power consumption, and response speed. In addition, th.y can also be used as micro-sensors implanted in th. body via flexible electronic skin. One of th. key techniques involved in th. fabrication of μleD-based devices is transfer printing. Alth.ugh numerous meth.ds have been proposed for transfer printing, improving th. yield of μleD arrays is still a formidable task. In th.s paper, we propose a novel meth.d for improving th. yield of μleD arrays transferred by th. stamping meth.d, using an innovative design of piezoelectrically driven asymmetric micro-gripper. Traditional grippers are too large to manipulate μleDs, and th.refore two micro-sized cantilevers are added at th. gripper tips. A μleD manipulation system is constructed based on th. micro-gripper togeth.r with.a th.ee-dimensional positioning system. Experimental results using th.s system show th.t it can be used successfully to manipulate μleD arrays.

Introduction: Cervical cancer is a public health.concern and is mainly caused by Human papillomaviruses (HPV). In many parts of th. world, studies are being carried out to understand th. different genotypes to better tackle th.s issue. We conducted a study to determine th. prevalence of HPV genotypes in women with.chronic hepatitis B or C infection, co-infected or not with.HIV, treated at th. Hôpital Saint Camille in Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso). Meth.ds: th.s study was conducted from April to July 2023, including 100 women in gastroenterology at Hôpital Saint Camille. A questionnaire on th.ir socio-demographic and life style was administrated;and endocervical samples were collected using sterile swabs and th.n sent to Centre of Biomolecular Research Pietro Annigoni (CERBA). HPV molecular detection and genotyping were performed by PCR and hybridization using th. HPV Direct Flow Chips kit. Data were analysis using chi square test or Fischer’s exact test with.a significance th.eshold for p Results: th. prevalence of HPV infection was 28% (28/100) on th. sample of women tested. th. most frequent genotypes were HPV 52 (8.33%), followed by HPV 18 and 68 (6.25% each) for high-risk HPVs, and HPV 6, 44/55 and 62/81 (8.33% each) for low-risk HPVs. Conclusion: th.s study, th. first of its kind in Burkina Faso on th.s group of th. population, reveals th.t th. most frequent genotypes found in th.s study are not included in th. vaccine available in Burkina Faso (Gardasil®4).

Cancer is one of th. deadliest diseases in developing countries. In recent years, natural plant-based compounds have been used in th. search for drugs to combat numerous diseases, including cancer. In th.s study, we evaluate th. cytotoxic properties of paanfo tiben 1 and paanfo tiben 2, two traditional herbal formulations from Burkina Faso used in th. treatment of cancer in Burkina Faso. To th.s end, th. recipes were infused and freeze-dried. th. dry extracts obtained were used to determine total phenolics and flavonoids content, assess antioxidant activity using th. DPPH, ABTS and FRAP meth.ds, evaluate anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting 15-LOX, COX 1 and 2, and assess cytotoxic activity on HeLa cervical cancer and HePG2 liver cancer cell lines using th. MTT test. th. paanfo tiben 1 recipe showed th. highest levels of total phenolics and flavonoids, as well as th. best antioxidant activities, with.IC50 values of 21.020 ± 0.6 µg/ml and 22.94 ± 0.57 µg/ml for DPPH and ABTS, and 165.15 mM EAA/mg dry extract for FRAP. It also exhibited th. best cytotoxic activity with.IC50 values of 112.02 ± 0.025 µg/ml on HeLa cells and 80.67 ± 6.08 µg/ml on HepG2 cells. On th. oth.r hand, paanfo tiben 2 exhibited th. best anti-inflammatory activities th.ough inhibition of 15-LOX and COX 1, with.inhibition percentages at 100 µg/ml of 32.523% and 24.717 % respectively. th.se results could justify th. traditional use of th.se two recipes by traditional health.practitioners in th. treatment of cancer sufferers in Burkina Faso.

th. swelling behavior of argillaceous rocks is a complex phenomenon and has been determined using a lot of indexes in th. literature. Determining th. required modeling indexes th.t need to be performed requires expensive tests and extensive time in different laboratories. In some of th. cases, it is too diffi- cult to find a relation between th. effective variables and swelling potential. th.s paper suggests a meth.d for modeling th. time dependent swelling pressure of argillaceous rocks. th. trend of short term swelling potential during th. first 3 days of th. swelling pressure testing is used for modeling th. long term swelling pressure of mudstone th.t is recorded during month.. th. artificial neural network (ANN) as a power tool is used for modeling th.s nonlinear and complex behavior. th.s meth.d enables predicting th. swelling potential of argillaceous rocks when th. required indexes and also correlation between th.m is unattainable. th.s meth.d facilitates th. model of all studied samples under a unique formulation.

省(直辖市、自治区)实验室等高水平实验室是地方争创国家科技战略力量的重大探索。作为培育国家实验室“预备队”的生力军,部分成效显著的高水平实验室成为首批挂牌国家实验室的承载单位。在首批国家实验室已挂牌十多家、高水平实验室超百家的情境下,如何在新时期进行路径转换实现提质增效是全国各地高水平实验室面临的战略性问题。基于此背景,以高水平实验室为研究对象,梳理国家“自上而下”探索建设试点国家实验室、地方“自下而上”争创国家实验室“预备队”、“上下联动”组建首批国家实验室的发展历程,归纳高水平实验室建设中体制机制等方面的实践、创新及问题,并提出其在新时期建的策略:一是明确战略定位,形成战略→战术→产业导向型的“金字塔结构”高水平实验室梯次发展体系;二是建立权责清晰、财力协调的科学治理模式;三是加强实体建设,落实相对独立的科研实体地位,强化自主创新能力;四是从制度、基建、协同等维度,优化创新体系。

Meth.onine restriction(MR)is an effective dietary strategy to regulate energy metabolism and alleviate oxidative stress and inflammation in th. body,especially in th. middle-aged and elderly ***,th. high meth.onine content of meat products makes th.s dietary strategy impossible to combine with.protein supplementation and *** barley(HB),a low-meth.onine cereal,not only provides th. body with.protein but also has improved glucose metabolism and antioxidant and anti-inflammatory ***,th.s study evaluated th. feasibility of HB as a source of meth.onine-restricted dietary protein and th. potential ***-aged C57BL/6J mice were fed a control diet(CON),a high-fat diet(HFD),a whole-grain HB high-fat diet(HBHF),or a HBHF+meth.onine diet(HBHFmet)for 25 *** results showed th.t th. HBHF could keep th. body weight,fasting glucose,insulin,homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance(HOMA-IR),blood lipids,inflammation,and oxidative stress of HFD mice at normal *** with.th. HFD groups,HBHF inhibited pancreatic cell apoptosis and improved insulin secretion while improving hepatic and skeletal muscle glucose ***,th.se efficacies were attenuated in HBHFmet group *** findings suggest th.t HBHF has an MR strategy.
