Oil was extracted from seeds of Jatropha Curcas,in high yields(up to 40% by weight).The extracted Jatropha oil was converted in a laboratory reactor to biodiesel by *** of Jatropha oil and Jatropha biodiesel by GC/MS and GC/SIMDIS showed that Jatropha oil could be readily converted to a biodiesel product through NaOH catalyzed *** resulting biodiesel has desirable properties such as high cetane number and low flash point,which are major improvements over the properties of commercial biodiesel fuels.

The aims of the work were to study the current quality of the water in Lake DOHOU used for drinking water supply through several physical, chemical analyses and using water quality indices (WQI). In addition, the question was whether the populations are at risk after drinking water of lake following a reduction of 50% and 75% in the median and maximum values of pesticides. Thus, the results of the pesticide monitoring program were incorporated into probabilistic human health risk assessment exercises. Water samples were collected over a period of one year. Pesticides were subjected to solid phase extraction and then analyzed using gas chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectroscopy. The other parameters were measured according to conventional methods. The results showed that the most frequently detected pesticides were aldicarb (79%), simazine (79%) and monolinuron (44%). They also showed the mean values of concentrations exceeding 1.5 μg/L. Metoxuron detected at a frequency of 29% showed the maximum average concentration (13.46 μg/L). Nearly 98% of the sampling points had at least one substance with an average concentration above the quality standard (0.1 μg/L) and 80% did not meet the total concentration standards. Cumulative risk quotient estimates after 50% or 75% abatement for frequently identified pesticides were greater than unity when extreme?values for adults and children were considered. To determine the suitability of water for aquatic life, drinking water consumption and drinking water production, the water quality index (WQI), the heavy metal pollution (HPI) and the heavy metal evaluation (HEI) were calculated. The poor quality of the water was mainly related to pesticides, organic matter and microbiological parameters. Most of the nutrients and metals studied were often below the standards of drinking water and aquatic life. The presence of both weathered rocks and fractured crystalline bedrock aquifers makes Hydrogeology in Gbêkê region of C?te d’Ivoire. Access to water in this region is not easy. This study focuses on the influence of borehole depth, weathering thickness and electrical resistivity of the geological structures on borehole productivity that exploit the crystalline aquifer system. Bivariate analysis was used to determine the relationships between these factors and specific capacity for measuring borehole productivity. The values ranged from 0.0088 to 2.20 m3?h?1?m?1. The analysis shows that there is no correlation between productivity and weathering thickness. However, weathering depths between 15 and 35 m provide the highest specific capacity values (Qs ≥ 1 m3?h?1?m?1). For hydrogeological discontinuities interest, boreholes located in KH, QH and H anomaly curve types were the most productive. As productivity diminishes with depth, a deeper borehole can be more productive if it reaches a geological structure that is favorable for groundwater flow. Those hydrogeological parameters are extremely important in borehole productivity in Gbêkê region.

The rapid rate of deforestation in Cote d’Ivoire has led to loss of plant species diversity and also threatens some commercial tree species with *** reforestation and aff orestation has been ***,for some species,the numbers of surviving transplants has ***,it is necessary to develop properly adapted and resilient genotypes that can eff ectively support the programs of forest *** this context we evaluated the eff ects of the provenances of seeds and of various treatments on the germination rates and on plant growth of four commercial trees species(Pycnanthus angolensis,Terminalia superba,Mansonia altissima and Pterygota macrocarpa).We analyzed these parameters for seeds of three provenances(Daloa,Akoupéand Daoukro)of four species and for thirty plants aged 6 months per *** to begin germination and time to reach maximum germination were similar among species,and were not infl uenced by either treatment or *** seeds and those soaked for 24 and 48 h in water at room temperature yielded the highest germination rates,irrespective of species or *** one exception was ***,for which no germination was *** species,some provenances produced higher germination percentages than did *** clear relationship was computed between the germination rate and the morphometric characteristics of the seeds which varied signifi cantly between *** growth and morphological variability also depended greatly on *** factors might be implicated,therefore provenance trials should be undertaken and ***,molecular analysis should be undertaken to confi rm the implications of genetic factors and allow for genetic selection.

Introduction: Dermatoses are common in the pediatric population. They have certain particularities such as the prevalence of the diaper dermatitis and genetic disorders. Paediatric dermatological problems are common, with some conditions requiring specialist consultation. Often appropriate diagnosis and therapy are sometime delayed in certain countries. Few studies have focused on pediatric aspects of skin diseases in Côte d’Ivoire. We initiated this work to contribute to a better knowledge of pediatric skin conditions in our work context. Material and Methods: This is a cross-sectional prospective, descriptive and analytical study carried out in the Dermatology Department of the University Hospital of Treichville from January 2015 to December 2017. Data from the study were collected on a survey card that included socio-demographic characteristics and clinical aspects. All children with cutaneous and mucosal disease seen in pediatric dermatology consultation have been taken into account in the study. Results: 11,487 patients were seen in dermatology consultation during the period of our study with only 302 children, a prevalence of 2.6%. The sex ratio was 0.9. The main reason for consultation was pruritus (22.65%). In 63.9% of the cases the child was referred by a family member whereas more than 1/3 of the children (39.07%) had previously been consulted by a pediatrician. Among children referred with a skin diagnosis, the half had a correct diagnosis The most prevalent disorders by category were dermatitis (57.9%) and infections (29.5%). Multiple diagnosis were made in 9.27% of the patients. The most common pathologies encountered were prurigo (23.2%), scabies (12.9%) and atopic dermatitis (9.6%). The lesions were mainly located on the head (23.31%) and the lower limbs (20.51%). In almost all cases (99.3%), the diagnosis was essentially clinical. 以新巨龙公司2301N综放工作面过断层为工程背景,通过微震监测、数值模拟和理论分析等方法,对深井特厚煤层断层活化规律进行研究。得到的主要结论为：（1）根据2301N工作面微震监测结果,将断层活化分为应力显现阶段（距断层274.8~214 m）、蓄能阶段（距断层214~84 m）和结构活化阶段（距断层84~0 m）,并采用数值模拟进行了验证;（2）工作面过断层期间存在断层活化型冲击和断层煤柱型冲击2类动力灾害,断层活化型冲击的机制主要是开采诱发断层两侧煤岩体积聚的构造应力释放,断层煤柱型冲击地压机制主要是工作面开采引起断层煤柱应力的高度集中;（3）根据工作面过断层期间冲击地压发生机制,提出相应的防治技术,并进行现场验证,保障了工作面的安全开采。研究结果对类似条件下的工作面安全开采具有一定的借鉴意义。

为了揭示碳酸盐岩台地烃源岩分布特征与成烃过程,以鄂尔多斯盆地马家沟组为研究对象,开展了烃源岩发育特征及其控制因素研究,并建立了发育模式。在此基础上,通过生烃模拟实验及产物测试,揭示了碳酸盐岩烃源岩在不同矿物参与下的生烃特征。研究发现,鄂尔多斯盆地中东部马家沟组碳酸盐岩台地相烃源岩,纵向上主要发育在马家沟组马一、马三、马五段;平面上分布较广,其中海退初期的咸化洼地和环盐洼区的局部深洼是烃源岩发育的有利环境,烃源岩有机质丰度高。高丰度烃源岩发育与沉积时水体氧化还原条件、岩性、水体深度、盐度有关,其中海退期盐岩洼地水体闭塞,缺氧环境发育,有利于有机质保存,易于相处高质量烃源岩发育。为了揭示碳酸盐岩地层中盐类矿物对有机质成烃的影响,开展了加碳酸盐、硫酸盐、氯化物盐及混合盐(碳酸盐:硫酸盐:氯化盐=4:1:1)的有机质生烃热模拟实验。结果发现,硫酸盐和氯化物对有机质产液态烃起明显催化剂作用,其生烃曲线高值突出;混合盐有轻微的催化作用;而加入碳酸盐生烃曲线与未加盐类相似,且产率有轻微降低。350℃时(Ro约0.8%),有机质成熟度低,各种盐类对液态烃生成均影响不大;450℃生油高峰期阶段,硫酸盐、氯化盐、混合盐可分别使液态烃产率增加255%、358%、2%;500℃、550℃等高演化阶段,有机质液态烃产率快速下降,盐类催化作用也随之减弱,硫酸盐可使液态烃产率增加49%、62%,氯化盐增加20%、24%,而碳酸盐使液态烃产率减少21%、23%。在烃源岩生烃过程和资源评价中,应考虑盐类矿物的影响。研究成果对鄂尔多斯盆地深层油气资源评价和油气勘探具有指导意义。

Infectious Pathology of the Scrotum in Abidjan: Ultrasound Features of 80 Cases

Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the epidemiological-clinical profile of patients with scrotal infectious pathology in Abidjan and describe the ultrasound features of this scrotal infectious pathology. Methods: This was a prospective study of 80 cases of scrotal infectious pathology objectified by ultrasound at Yopougon University Hospital from 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2015. Ultrasounds were performed using a high-frequency linear probe in B and Color Doppler modes by senior radiologists. The epidemiological-clinical data were recorded from the ultrasound request form and the interrogation of the patient. Results: The average age was 23 years with extreme ranging from 16 to 40 years. Soldiers were the most concerned (40%) followed by students (30%). The painful large bursa was the quasi constant presenting feature (95% of cases) and fever was associated in less than half of the cases (45% of cases). The scrotal involvement was most often unilateral (85% of cases) and the left side was involved in 70% of the cases. Epididymitis was the most frequent pathology (60%) followed by orchiepididymitis (30%) and orchitis (10%). The most commonly encountered accompanying ultrasound findings were envelope thickening (100%), intravaginal fluid effusion (60%), and Doppler Hypervascularization (30%). Conclusion: In Abidjan Scrotal infectious pathology is most often encountered among young soldiers or students most often with a ± febrile large bursa. The most common pathology is left unilateral epididymitis.
