BACKGROUND Prediction of HAIC treatment response is important for improving the prognosis in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).The progression of HCC is related to hypercoagulability and *** is known that ADAMTS13 and von Willebrand factor(VWF)are related to *** addition,previous study reported that the association between ADAMTS13 and VWF,and angiogenesis via vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF).Recently,ADAMTS13 and VWF have been associated with the prognosis in patients with various kinds of cancer undergoing *** To investigate whether ADAMTS13 and VWF become useful biomarkers of treatment response in HCC patients before the initiation of HAIC *** Seventy-two patients were enrolled in this ***13 activity(ADAMTS13:AC),VWF antigen(VWF:Ag)and VEGF levels were determined via enzyme-linked immunosorbent *** and multivariable analyses were performed to determine the predictive factors of treatment response in patients with HCC undergoing HAIC *** ADAMTS13:AC levels in HCC patients with stable disease(SD)+partial response(PR)of HAIC treatment were significantly higher than those with progressive disease(PD)(P2.7)had higher VEGF levels than those with low ratio(≤2.7).Multivariable analysis revealed that VWF:Ag/ADAMTS13:AC ratio was a predictive factor of HAIC treatment *** VWF:Ag/ADAMTS13:AC ratio may become a useful biomarker of treatment response in HCC patients before the initiation of HAIC treatment.

We propose new evaluation technique of rear passivation effect and rear structure in thin monocrystalline silicon (c-Si) solar cells. Light emission from the solar cell was detected by a charge coupled device (CCD) camera. We have found that the intensity distribution of light emission correlate closely with the number of minority carriers in p-type layer. The number of minority carriers was affected by rear surface recombination velocity (S), which was estimated from the emission intensity in thin c-Si solar cells with larger minority carrier diffusion length (L) than cell thickness. The several kinds of rear passivation layers and rear structures evaluated for same forward current density. The difference in emission intensity was detected. We could demonstrate that the emission intensity had the correlation with S and Rear structure of thin c-Si solar cell

＜正＞ The novel detection method of the spatial distribution of minority carrier diffusion length has been proposed utilizing the photographic surveying of electroluminescence emitted from polycrystalline Si solar cells. Under the forward bias condition, the cell emits infrared light （wavelength: 1000 - 1300 nm）, which intensity reflects the minority carrier diffusion length quantitatively . Quantitative analysis of the correlation between this emission intensity and forward current was carried.

Although the etiology of eosinophilic cholecystitis is still obscure, the postulated causes include allergies, parasites, hypereosinophilic syndrome, and eosinophilic gastroenteritis. It is sometimes accompanied by several complications, but a simultaneous onset with pericarditis is very rares. A 28-year-old woman complained of acute right hypocondrial pain and dyspnea associated with systemic eruption. Several imaging modalities revealed acute cholecystitis and pericarditis with massive pericardial effusion. A marked peripheral blood eosinophilia was observed, and the eruption was diagnosed as urticaria. Her serum had a high titer of antibody against Ascaris lumbricoides . Treatment with albendazole drastically improved all clinical manifestations along with normalization of the imaging features and eosinophilia. We report herein a rare case of simultaneous onset of acute cholecystitis and pericarditis associated with a marked eosinophilia caused by parasitic infection.

Purpose An early diagnosis of ovarian torsion is sometimes difficult due to variable clinical symptoms and non-specific imaging *** retrospectively reviewed patients with pediatric ovarian masses manifesting *** Fifty-eight ovarian masses(55 episodes)in 49 non-neonatal patients treated from April 1984 to March 2017 were retrospectively *** Mann-Whitney U test and Fisher’s exact test were used for the statistical *** The median age of these 55 episodes was 10.5 years old(range 1.0-23.0).Thirty-three patients presented with abdominal ***-five tumors and 13 cystic masses were resected and diagnosed pathologically(50 benign and 8 malignant).Torsion was identified in 15 cases(25.9%)at *** torsion masses were all benign,and 8 ovaries(53.3%)were successfully *** the torsion cases with the non-torsion cases,only the white cell count was significantly higher in the torsion cases(p=0.0133)and in the patients presented with abdominal pain(p=0.0068).The duration of abdominal pain was significantly shorter in ovary preserved cases than in oophorectomy *** The white blood cell may be a helpful indicator of the presence of torsion as well as the need for surgery.

＜正＞ The comparative efficiency of selected multi-component photoinitiating systems （PIS） based on Cl-HABl （2- Chlorohexaarylbiimidazole） in the presence of coumarins or ketocoumarines or ketones or/and hydrogen donors is investigated through Real Time FT-IR. The results of the polymerization kinetics and complementary data on the processes obtained through steady state analytical techniques allows the elaboration of a general picture for the mechanisms encountered in the different PIS and a discussion on their relative efficiency.
