The transition metal complexes of triaminoguanidine(TAG-M,where M=Cobalt(Co)or Iron(Fe))have been *** catalytic effect of these complexes on the thermolysis of energetic composite based on nitrocellulose and diethylene glycol dinitrate,has been *** characterization of the resulting energetic composites was carried out using scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).Isoconversional kinetic analysis was performed to determine the Arrhenius parameters associated with the thermolysis of the elaborated energetic *** is found that TAG-M complexes have strong catalytic effect on the thermo-kinetic decomposition of NC/DEGDN by decreasing the apparent activation energy and significantly increased the total heat *** models that govern the decomposition processes are also studied,and it is revealed that different reaction processes are accomplished by introduction metal complexes of ***,this study serves as a valuable reference for future research focused on the investigation of catalytic combustion features of solid propellants.

The endocrine system is a fundamental type of long-range cell-cell communication that is important for maintaining metabolism,physiology,and other aspects of organismal *** signaling is mediated by diverse blood-borne ligands,also called hormones,including metabolites,lipids,steroids,peptides,and *** size and structure of these hormones are fine-tuned to make them bioactive,responsive,and adaptable to meet the demands of changing *** has nature selected such diverse ligand types to mediate communication in the endocrine system?What is the chemical,signaling,or physiologic logic of these ligands?What fundamental principles from our knowledge of endocrine communication can be applied as we continue as a field to uncover additional new circulating molecules that are claimed to mediate long-range cell and tissue crosstalk?This review provides a framework based on the biochemical logic behind this crosstalk with respect to their chemistry,temporal regulation in physiology,specificity,signaling actions,and evolutionary development.

This paper concentrates on the development of glasses with self-cleaning surfaces exhibiting high water contact angles. In this study, we prepared super-hydrophobic nano-ceramic coated glass based on titania & silica using simple sol-gel & dip coating methods and studied the best composition of the coatings by altering ratios of titanium tetraisopropoxide (TTIP)/tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) with different homogenizing agents. We characterized the coatings by surface roughness measurement, percentage of optical transmission, static contact angle, near-infrared (NIR) transmission, and diffuse reflectance. The fabrication of coatings on glass substrates played an important role in increasing the water contact angle of about 95° and visible & NIR transmission of about 90%. We compared our modified glass substrate with commercial low emissivity (Low E) glass using X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, which showed pure amorphous surface claiming excellent wettability and thus the prepared glass substrate could have a variety of applications in different fields.

Due to the significant effect of abnormal arrivals on localization accuracy,a novel acoustic emission(AE)source localization method using clustering detection to eliminate abnormal arrivals is proposed in the ***,iterative weight estimation is utilized to obtain accurate equation ***,according to the distribution of equation residuals,clustering detection is used to identify and exclude abnormal ***,the AE source coordinate is recalculated with remaining normal *** results of pencil-lead breaks indicate that the proposed method can achieve a better localization result with and without abnormal *** results of simulation tests further demonstrate that the proposed method possesses higher localization accuracy and robustness under different anomaly ratios and scales;even with abnormal arrivals as high as 30%,the proposed localization method still holds a correct detection rate of 91.85%.

The fourth most predominant overwhelming type of trauma is burn injuries *** wound healing dressings help in the wound healing process in a lower time with less *** used dry wound dressing,like absorbent gauze or absorbent cotton,possess limited therapeutic effects and require repeated use,which further exaggerates patients’*** contrast,hydrogels films present a promising alternative to improve healing by guaranteeing a moisture balance at the wound *** aim of the current study was to synthesize Tamarix aphylla(***)extract-loaded hydrogel film with Na-CMC and pectin and to study their wound healing *** Na-CMC/Pectin hydrogels films were synthesized and characterized for HPLC analysis,FTIR,surface morphology,rheology,tensile strength,swelling behavior,drug release kinetics,and in vivo wound healing in an animal *** confirmed the existence of strong interaction between both polymers but no interaction with the *** photographs showed successful embedding of extract in small pores of hydrogel film and showed smooth and homogenous *** and texture profiles indicated that hydrogels behaved as strong *** and erosion were dependent on the amount of the *** showed drug content of three selected formulation(A3,E3 and S3)as 85±0.1%,82.5±0.4%and 80±0.3%,*** release of the drug from the hydrogel was controlled by a Fickian diffusion *** vivo wound healing activity of hydrogel film confirmed that *** extract successfully promoted healing rate by significantly reducing(P<0.05)the size of wound closure compared to the control group,evidenced by intensive collagen formation in histopathological and biochemical *** capability of these hydrogels for burn wounds could be valuable for medical uses as a new window of safe and effective medication.

Experimental analysis of pore structure and fractal characteristics of soft and hard coals with same coalifcation

Accurate and quantitative investigation of the physical structure and fractal geometry of coal has important theoretical and practical signifcance for coal bed methane(CBM)development and the prevention of dynamic disasters such as coal and gas *** study investigates the pore structure and fractal characteristics of soft and hard coals using nitrogen and carbon dioxide(N_(2)/CO_(2))*** samples from Pingdingshan Mine in Henan province of China were collected and pulverized to the required size(0.20–0.25 mm).N_(2)/CO_(2)adsorption tests were performed to evaluate the specifc surface area(SSA),pore size distribution(PSD),and pore volume(PV)using Braunuer-Emmett-Teller(BET),Barrett-Joyner-Halenda(BJH),and Density Functional Theory(DFT).The pore structure was characterized based on the theory of fractal *** results unveiled that the strength of coal has a signifcant infuence on pore structure and fractal *** are signifcant diferences in SSA and PV between both *** BJH-PV and BET-SSA obtained by N_(2)-adsorption for soft coal are 0.029–0.032 cm^(3)/g and 3.523–4.783 m^(2)/*** the values of PV and SSA obtained by CO_(2)-adsorption are 0.037–0.039 cm^(3)/g and 106.016–111.870 m^(2)/*** coal shows greater SSA and PV than hard coal,which is consistent with the adsorption capacity(VL).The fractal dimensions of soft and hard coal are respectively *** Ding coal exhibits larger D1 and smaller D_(2),and the reverse for the Wu coal seam is *** greater the value of D1(complexity of pore surface)of soft coal is,the larger the pore surface roughness and gas adsorption capacity *** results enable us to conclude that the characterization of pores and fractal dimensions of soft and hard coals is diferent,tending to diferent adsorption/desorption *** this regard,the results provide a reference for formulating corresponding coal and gas outburst prevention and control measures.

Hybrid systems based on renewable energies for the electrification of remote sites controlled by power management systems(PMSs)aim to reduce fossil fuels and increase the efficiency of renewable energy sources to minimize greenhouse gas *** influential role of the PMS contributes to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of these systems by ensuring a balance between the different sources and loads in all operating ***,the abrupt transitions between the various operational modes selected by the PMS generate power loss and *** handle this issue,a fuzzy logic controller(FLC)-based PMS controlling a photovoltaic(PV)and diesel hybrid system with a battery storage element connected to a DC bus is proposed in this *** proposed PMS is wholly based on FLC to ensure a smooth transition between the different modes of the *** success of using the suggested PMS lies in how well the FLC parameters are chosen before the system is *** this purpose,the particle swarm optimization algorithm is adapted to tune the FLC *** resulting optimal intelligent PMS is tested and compared with a classical one using comprehensive simulations performed in a Simscape ElectricalTM MATLAB®*** obtained results show an overshoot attenuation at the DC-bus voltage of 2%when changing the mode and an improvement in the PV generator efficiency by 99.5%.
