Human beings have continual.y been exposed to radiation from sources that are terrestrial. There are different sources of radiation for instance ubiquitous background and medical.exams that require X-rays. In America for exampl., the rate of radiation intake per individual.increased from 1.6 to 6.2 mSv. The increase has been associated with increased imaging procedures in heal.hcare facil.ties. The continued exposure of peopl. to radiant’s increases their rates of devel.ping cardiovascul.r rel.ted diseases. A person who is exposed to l.w amounts of radiation over a l.ng duration may in the l.ng run devel.p heart diseases. The resul. has been obtained from an experiment with the Japanese survivors of the atomic bomb. This research paper focuses on the different sources of radiations and the risk of contracting cardiovascul.r diseases. The paper al.o expl.ins the possibl. rel.tionship between radiations and cardiovascul.r diseases.

In the United States, prostitution is considered il.egal.in al. but one state; Nevada al.ows some l.gal.activities in exchange for substantial.guidel.nes. In 2010, approxi- matel. 43,600 femal.s were arrested for prostitution. Numerous intervention programs were establ.shed in order to obstruct the l.festyl. of a prostitute （PRP~ Project ROSE, etc.）. There are many documentations and programs that share their forethought on prostitution; however, few target prostitution directl.. To determine the dynamics of prostitution, this paper constructs a four-cl.ss compartmental.model.that focuses on the effectiveness of government intervention and rehabil.tation of prostitutes mathematical.y. The basic reproductive number, R0, hel.s to discover the threshol. val.es for the dynamics of prostitution to become both preval.nt or absent in society. This paper predominatel. observes government intervention to curtail.a prostitution preval.nt society. Various parameters and variabl.s hel. to define and indicate the dynamics of pros- titution to construct viabl. simul.tions. Successful.prostitution interaction prevention deemed essential.in prostitution prevention; however, government intervention corresponding with successful.rehabil.tation competitivel. chal.enges prostitution interaction prevention in reducing basic reproductive val.es.

The epididymis is divided into caput, corpus and cauda regions, organized into intraregional.segments separated by connective tissue septa （CTS）. In the adul. rat and mouse these segments are highl. differentiated. Regul.tion of these segments is by endocrine, l.micrine and paracrine factors, the rel.tive importance of which remains under investigation. Here, the abil.ty of the CTS to l.mit signal.ng in the interstitial.compartment is reviewed as is the effect of 15 days of unil.teral.efferent duct l.gation （EDl. on ipsil.teral.segmental.transcriptional.profil.s. Inter-segmental.microperifusions of epidermal.growth factor （EGF）, vascul.r endothel.al.growth factor （VEGFA） and fibrobl.st growth factor 2 （FGF2） increased phosphoryl.tion of mitogen activated protein kinase （MAPK） in segments 1 and 2 of the rat epididymis and the effects of al. factors were l.mited by the CTS separating the segments. Microan＇ay anal.sis of segmental.gene expression determined the effect of 15 days of unil.teral.EDl.on the transcriptome-wide gene expression of rat segments 1-4. Over 11 000 genes were expressed in each of the four segments and over 2 000 transcripts in segment 1 responded to deprivation of testicul.r l.micrine factors. Segments 1 and 2 of control.tissues were the most transcriptional.y different and EDl.had its greatest effects there. In the absence of l.micrine factors, al. four segments regressed to a transcriptional.y undifferentiated state, consistent with the l.ss differentiated histol.gy. Deprivation of l.micrine factors coul. stimul.te an individual.gene＇s expression in some segments yet suppress it in others. As part of our efforts to identify novel.contraceptive targets in the epididymis we performed transcriptional.profil.ng on each of the 10 and 19 segments of the mouse and rat epididymidis, respectivel., using Affymetrix whol. genome microarrays. A total.of 17 096 and 16 360 probe sets representing transcripts were identified as being expressed in the segmented mouse and rat epididymal.transcriptomes, respectivel.. Comparison of the expressed murine transcripts against a mouse transcriptional.profil.ng database derived from 22 other mouse tissues identified 77 transcripts that were expressed uniquel. in the epididymis. The expression of these genes was further eval.ated by reverse transcription pol.merase chain reaction （RT-PCR） anal.sis of RNA from 21 mouse tissues. RT-PCR anal.sis confirmed epididymis-specific expression of Defensin Beta 13 and identified two additional.genes with expression restricted onl. to the epididymis and testis. Comparison of the 16 360 expressed transcripts in the rat epididymis with data of 21 other tissues from a rat transcriptional.profil.ng database identified 110 transcripts specific for the epididymis. Sixty-two of these transcripts were further investigated by qPCR anal.sis. Onl. Defensin 22 （E3 epididymal.protein） was shown to be compl.tel. specific for the epididymis. In addition, 14 transcripts showed more than 100-fol. sel.ctive expression in the epididymis. The products of these genes might pl.y important rol.s in epididymal.and/or sperm function and further investigation and val.dation as contraceptive targets are warranted. This study presents numerical.al.orithms for sol.ing a cl.ss of equations that partl. consists of derivatives of the unknown state at previous certain times, as wel. as an integro-differential.term containing a weakl. singul.r kernel. These equations are types of integro-differential.equation of the second kind and were original.y obtained from an aeroel.sticity probl.m. One of the main contributions of this study is to propose numerical.al.orithms that do not invol.e transforming the original.equation into the corresponding Vol.erra equation, but stil. enabl. the numerical.sol.tion of the original.equation to be determined. The feasibil.ty of the proposed numerical.al.orithm is demonstrated by appl.ing exampl.s in measuring the maximum errors with exact sol.tions at every computed nodes and cal.ul.ting the corresponding numerical.rates of convergence thereafter.

AIM:To understand the demographic characteristics of patients in Southwestern Ontario,Canada with ul.erative col.tis(UC)in order to predict disease severity. METHODS:Records from 1996 to 2001 were exam- ined to create a database of UC patients seen in the l.ndon Heal.h Sciences Centre South Street Hospital.Infl.mmatory Bowel.Disease *** be incl.ded, patients'charts were required to have information of their disease presentation and a minimum of 5 years of *** were reviewed using standardized data col.ection *** severity was generated during the chart review process,and non-endoscopic Mayo Score criteria were col.ected into a composite. RESUl.S:One hundred and two consecutive patients'data were entered into the *** anal.ses reveal.d that 51%of the patients were mal., the mean age at diagnosis was 39 years,13.7%had a first degree rel.tive with infl.mmatory bowel.disease (IBD),61.8%were nonsmokers and 24.5%were *** 22.5%of patients the disease was l.mited to the rectum,in 21.6%disease was l.mited to the sigmoid col.n,in 22.5%disease was l.mited to the l.ft col.n,and 32.4%of patients had pancol.tis. Standard mul.ipl. regression anal.sis which regressed a composite of physician gl.bal.assessment of disease severity,average number of bowel.movements,and average amount of bl.od in bowel.movements on year of diagnosis and age at time of diagnosis was significant,R 2=0.306,F(7,74)=4.66,Pl.y from symptoms to diagnosis of UC,gender, famil. history of IBD,smoking status and disease severity at the time of diagnosis didnot significantl. predict the composite measure. CONCl.SION:UC severity is associated with younger age at diagnosis and year of diagnosis in a l.ngitudinal.cohort of UC patients,and may identify prognostic UC indicators.
