The concept of H-decompositions of graphs was first introduced by Erd?s, Goodman and Pósa in 1966, who were motivated by the problem of representing graphs by set intersections. Given graphs G and H, an H-decomposition of G is a partition of the edge set of G such that each part is either a single edge or forms a graph isomorphic to H. Let Ф(n,H) be the smallest number Ф, such that, any graph of order n admits an H-decomposition with at most Ф parts. The exact computation of Ф(n,H) for an arbitrary H is still an open problem. Recently, a few papers have been published about this problem. In this survey we will bring together all the results about H-decompositions. We will also introduce two new related problems, namely Weighted H-Decompositions of graphs and Monochromatic H-Decom- positions of graphs.

BACKGROUND The gold standard treatment for papillary thyroid carcinoma is total thyroidectomy and indications for microwave thermal ablation for primary thyroid cancers have not yet been clearly established However,some patients refuse surgery and others have no indication for it,for example patients under palliative care as in this case,or cannot undergo surgery,based on their *** indications are described in the most recent Korean,North American and European *** ablation,radiofrequency ablation,and microwave ablation are similarly safe and effective,so the choice should be based on the specific competences and resources of the pertaining *** indications are Percutaneous minimally-invasive techniques;they can be useful to stop disease progression and as an alternative to surgery in patients with contraindication or who refuse *** present a case of a thyroid papillary carcinoma with 17 mm effectively treated with microwave thermal ablation and without recurrence after one year of follow *** SUMMARY The authors present a case of a 71-years-old patient with a left lobe papillary thyroid carcinoma with 13 mm×17 mm×13 mm,with no indication for thyroid surgery given the context of another cancer in palliative *** thermoablation was performed on December *** months later he repeated computed tomography(CT)scan,which showed that the tumor had *** months after ablation he underwent a positron emission tomography/CT-fluorodeoxyglucose scan,which didn’t show any evidence of hypermetabolic tumor *** This case shows microwave thermoablation can be a safe and effective alternative to surgery in patients with no conditions to undergo surgery or when they refuse *** treating the tumor,with this minimally invasive technique,we are stopping its growth and avoiding disease progression.

In this article,we comment on the paper by Kakinuma et al published *** focus specifically on the diagnosis of uterine pseudoaneurysm,but we also review other uterine vascular anomalies that may be the cause of life-threating hemorrhage and the different causes of uterine *** artery pseudoaneurysm is a complication of both surgical gynecological and nontraumatic *** hemorrhage is the consequence of the rupture of the *** artery pseudoaneurysm can develop after obstetric or gynecological procedures,being the most frequent after cesarean or vaginal deliveries,curettage and even during ***,there are several cases described unrelated to pregnancy,such as after conization,hysteroscopic surgery or laparoscopic *** is the clinical manifestation and it can be life-threatening so suspicion of this vascular lesion is essential for early diagnosis and ***,there are other uterine vascular anomalies that may be the cause of severe hemorrhage,which must be taken into account in the differential *** tomography angiography and embolization is supposed to be the first therapeutic option in most of them.

Reactive oxygen species(ROS)production is a by-product of mitochondrial activity and is necessary for the acquisition of the capacitated state,a requirement for functional ***,an increase in oxidative stress,due to an abnormal production of ROS,has been shown to be related to loss of sperm function,highlighting the importance of an accurate detection of sperm ROS,given the specific nature of this *** this work,we tested a variety of commercially available fluorescent probes to detect ROS and reactive nitrogen species(RNS)in human sperm,to define their *** both flow cytometry(FC)and fluorescence microscopy(FM),we confirmed that MitoSOX™Red and dihydroethidium(DHE)detect superoxide anion(as determined using antimycin A as a positive control),while DAF-2A detects reactive nitrogen species(namely,nitric oxide).For the first time,we also report that RedoxSensor™Red CC-1,CellROX®Orange Reagent,and MitoPYl seem to be mostly sensitive to hydrogen peroxide,but not ***,mean fluorescence intensity(and not percentage of labeled cells)is the main parameter that can be reproducibly monitored using this type of methodology.

Buildings represent a significant share of the world’s energy consumption,and the sector has drawn the attention of governments,which have adopted policies to reduce energy *** Certifications of Energy Efficiency in Buildings stand out as one possible solution to achieve this goal,employed in several countries *** European Union presents advanced energy assessment programs for buildings,being a reference and model for several other regulations in the *** Energy Certification System for Buildings(SCE)of Portugal is considered a success case,reflected in the significant number of energy certificates *** Brazilian Labeling Program for Building(PBE Edifica),first launched in 2009,does not find a broad application today in the Brazilian *** work shows a synthesis of the European Energy Performance of Buildings Directive(EPBD)and the Brazilian and Portuguese regulations’history.A qualitative comparison is made between the SCE and the PBE Edifica to verify a European and a developing country’s regulations with a certain degree of cultural and climatic *** this comparison,proposals are made for improvements to Brazilian certification,seeking to improve its energy planning and energy policy concerning its building *** suggestions for improvement presented may also be appropriate for other developing countries that have started and have not yet successfully implemented their energy certification programs in buildings.
