Background:The Sahel region of Chad Republic is a prime candidate for malaria *** facilitate preelimination efforts in this region,two populations o f A nopheles coluzzii from Central Chad Republic were characterized,their insecticide resistance profile and the possible molecular mechanisms driving the resistance in the field ***:Bloodfed female Anopheles gom biae *** indoor,were collected at N'djamena and Massakory,Chad in 2018 and characterized for species composition,and infection rate was determined using the TaqMan *** to various insecticides was assessed using WHO tube *** bioassays were conducted using various long-lasting insecticidal nets(LLINs).Results were analysed using Chi Square *** resistance(kdr)and ace-1 markers were investigated by TaqMan ***:Anopheles coluzzi was the major vector found in N’djamena(100%)and Massakory(〜94%).N〇Plasm odium was found in 147 bloodfed F0 ***(82 from N'djamena and 65 from Massakory).High intensity pyrethroid resistance was observed with mortalities of<2%for permethrin,deltamethrin and etofenprox,and with<50%and<60%dead following exposure to 10x diagnostic doses of deltamethrin and permethrin,*** both sites,<10%mortalities were observed with *** bioassays with piperonylbutoxide significantly recovered pyrethroid susceptibility in Massakory populations,implicating CYP450s(mortality=13.6%for permethrin,X^2=22.8,df=1,P=0.0006;mortality=13.0%for deltamethrin,x2:8.8,df=1,P<0.00031).Cone-bioassays established complete loss of efficacy of the pyrethroid-based LLINs;and a 100%recovery of susceptibility following exposure to the roof of PermaNet®3.0/containing *** populations were susceptible to malathion,but high bendiocarb resistance was observed in Massakory *** absence o f a ce-1 mutation points to the role of metabolic resistance in the bendiocarb *** 1014F and

Histoacryl glue is used increasingly for the treatment of gastric and ectopic varices, and there is experience in its use for oesophageal varices. It is an effective treatment, yet numerous reports of complications have accumulated. This review of the literature describes the technique, explores circulatory and vascular consideration unique to portal hypertension and categorises the complications into: "Embolisation", "local venous thrombosis", "fistulisation and extravascular injection", "ulceration, erosion and extrusion", and "nidus of infection". A case is then made for standardisation of the technique and the consent process.

Objective:To assess using the pelvic pressure pack as temporizing treatment for combined vaginal and broad ligament hematoma before selective arterial embolization could be ***:A 29-year-old woman was transferred because of a 10cm right upper vaginal hematoma found shortly after the spontaneous delivery of a 3400g infant at *** evacuation of the clots,the patient’s condition deteriorated with the appearance of a painful right pelvic mass,displacing the *** laparotomy,the hematoma extended between the folds of the broad ligament into the pelvic *** evacuation of the clots,hemostasis failed despite subtotal *** a pressure pack created from joined gauze rolls was used to fill up the pelvic cavity and achieved hemostasis before abdominal *** the vaginal pack was removed 30 hours later,vaginal bleeding recurred,and bilateral hypogastric embolization was performed with Gianturco ***:The patient was successfully treated by this way and discharged ***:In combined vaginal and broad ligament hematoma,pelvic pressure pack can be used to ensure maternal survival until definitive treatment with angiographic embolization.

To better understand the assembly of the sturgeon egg microbiome, we purified six bacterial isolates from eggs and characterized their ability to form biofilms under the stress of tobramycin, with and without exogenous protein. In experiments with single species biofilms, tobramycin reduced the metabolic activity of all isolates and increased biofilm biomass of three. The addition of exogenous protein to the assay countered the inhibition of biofilm and metabolic activity by tobramycin of Pseudomonas sp., Brevundimonas sp., Flavobacterium columnare and mixed biofilms of Pseudomonas-F. columnare and Brevundimonas-Hydrogenophaga. Two of the isolates (Pseudomonas spp.) that produced antimicrobial activity, were effective at reducing biofilm formation by Brevundimonas, but enhanced biofilm formation in other isolates. Increasing concentrations of Mg2+ had no effect on biofilm formation but Ca2+ enhanced biofilm formation of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PA01 (positive control) and Brevundimonas. Biofilm assembly by these two bacteria was inhibited by low concentrations of Ni2+. Mixed biofilms of Brevundimonas and Hydrogenophage consistently produced more robust biofilm than the strains in isolation, suggesting synergism. Established Brevundimonas biofilm appeared adept at recruiting pelagic Acidovorax and Hydrogenophaga into biofilm, suggesting that it plays an important role in the selection of species into the microbiome.

Automobile accidents are one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Every year, over 1.24 million people are killed in traffic accidents. Even though automobiles are designed to help people, they have been used to kill them in large numbers. Automobile accident research has primarily focused on past tragedies to develop and implement policies to combat this pandemic. The aim of this systematic review is to assess the different methods used to investigate the vehicle system-related cause factors of road traffic accidents. Police report reports have served as a foundation for providing historical facts about the causes of automobile accidents. It has been observed that police reports have limitations when it comes to reporting the involvement of vehicle systems in causing a traffic accident. The majority of the research was conducted on articles that investigated vehicle system risk factors using statistical data. Following articles that used statistical data to investigate vehicle system risk factors, the inclusion criteria were chosen. Articles on traffic accidents published in Cameroon were included on the condition that they studied at least one traffic accident risk factor. Two hundred twenty-five distinct records were identified, and 155 full texts were screened for inclusion, resulting in the inclusion of 25 studies in the review. According to the findings, failure to break the braking system, tyre puncture, poor driving, speeding, and overtaking are the leading causes of automobile crash reports reported by police. The majority of the study’s conclusions lamented that accusing vehicle systems was based on assumptions and the reporter’s judgment. It was determined that the use of stringent vetting procedures to investigate vehicle systems is the cause of a traffic accident. As a result, stakeholders will require accurate facts from a traffic crash investigation.

Stable isotope probing （SIP） was used to identify microbes stimulated by ethanol addition in microcosms containing two sediments collected from the bioremediation test zone at the US Department of Energy Oak Ridge site, TN, USA. One sample was highly bioreduced with ethanol while another was less reduced. Microcosms with the respective sediments were amended with ^13C labeled ethanol and incubated for 7 days for SIP. Ethanol was rapidly converted to acetate within 24h accompanied with the reduction of nitrate and sulfate. The accumulation of acetate persisted beyond the 7 d period. Aqueous U did not decline in the microcosm with the reduced sediment due to desorption of U but continuously declined in the less reduced sample. Microbial growth and concomitant 13C-DNA production was detected when ethanol was exhausted and abundant acetate had accumulated in both microcosms. This coincided with U（VI） reduction in the less reduced sample. I3C originating from ethanol was ultimately utilized for growth, either directly or indirectly, by the dominant microbial community members within 7 days of incubation. The microbial community was comprised predominantly of known denitrifiers, sulfate-reducing bacteria and iron （Ⅲ） reducing bacteria including Desulfovibrio, Sphingomonas, Ferribacterium, Rhodanobacter, Geothrix, Thiobacillus and others, including the known U（VI）-redueing bacteria Acidovorax, Anaeromyxobacter, Desulfovibrio, Geobac- ter and Desulfosporosinus. The findings suggest that ethanol biostimulates the U（VI）-reducing microbial com- munity by first serving as an electron donor for nitrate, sulfate, iron （IH） and U（VI） reduction, and acetate which then functions as electron donor for U（VI） reduction and carbon source for microbial growth.
