To reveal the intrinsic properties of the basic superconducting units,i.e.,the single layered FeSe/FeAs in iron-based superconductors or CuO_(2) planes in cuprate superconductors,is a necessary prerequisite for understanding the mechanism of high-Tc *** to now,an isolated FeAs layer has rarely been studied due to the difficulty in materials ***,we report a scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy(STM/STS)study on the iron-based superconductor KCa_(2)Fe_(4)As_(4)F_(2).In situ cleavage produced a single FeAs layer covered by a reconstructed K surface,which is isolated from the bulk by the underlying CaF layer and shows multi-band superconductivity with a much lower T_(c) than its bulk *** the exposed As-terminated regions with coverage of scattered K atoms,a pseudogap was observed,leading to an inhomogeneous superconductivity without long-range phase coherence in real space,which is remarkably similar to the high-T_(c) cuprate *** results provide a new perspective to understanding the origin of superconductivity in iron-based superconductors.

BACKGROUND Vestigial like family member 3(VGLL3)is associated with the prognosis of epithelial ovarian cancer and soft tissue sarcoma,but its role in gastric cancer(GC)is *** To explore the expression pattern and clinical significance of VGLL3 in *** Integrative analysis was performed on the GC transcriptome profiles and survival information deposited in the ONCOMINE,GEPIA,and ONCOLNC *** expression levels of VGLL3 mRNA and protein were analyzed in the freshly resected tumor and normal gastric tissues from GC patients by quantitative RT-PCR and Western blot,*** addition,the in situ expression of VGLL3 in the GC tissues was determined by immunohistochemistry(IHC),and the patients were accordingly classified into the high and low expression *** correlation of VGLL3 expression status with patient prognosis was then determined by univariate and multivariate Cox regression *** Analysis of the ONCOMINE and GEPIA databases showed that VGLL3 was significantly up-regulated in GC tissues(P=0.003),and associated with the tumor TNM stage(P=0.0163).The high VGLL3 expression group had a significantly worse prognosis compared to the low expression group,as per both GEPIA(P=0.0057)and ONCOLNC(P=0.01).The bioinformatics results were validated by the significantly higher VGLL3 mRNA and protein levels in the GC tissues compared to the adjacent normal tissues(P<0.001)in a cohort of 30 GC ***,high in situ expression of VGLL3 protein was associated with more advanced N and TNM stages and HER2 mutation(P<0.05)in a cohort of 172 ***-Meier analysis showed that the high VGLL3 expression group had a worse prognosis compared to the low expression group(P=0.019).Multivariate analysis showed that VGLL3 expression status was an independent risk factor for *** addition,the prognostic risk model nomogram showed that VGLL3 was the most important indicator,with an area under the receiver operating character

Sea cucumber derived sulfated sterols alter glucose metabolism by promoting gluconeogenesis and reducing glycogenesis in healthy mice

Sea cucumber derived sulfated sterols (SS) significantly ameliorated insulin resistance and decreased lipid accumulation compared to plant sterols. Interestingly， our recent study found that intervention with sea cucumber sulfated sterols could significantly increase blood glucose levels of healthy mice in the presence of glucose， while cholesterol sulfate， as one of sulfated sterols， did not have the same effect. However， the exact mechanism of SS on glucose metabolism is still unknown. In the present study， we investigated the potential mechanism by which SS influenced blood glucose homeostasis in healthy mice. Results showed that intervention with sea cucumber sulfated sterols did not affect the levels of hormones related to glucose metabolism， while led to a significant decrease in the synthesis of liver glycogen and muscle glycogen. Besides， the expression of proteins associated with the promotion of gluconeogenesis dramatically increased in the mice intervened with sea cucumber sulfated sterols. These findings suggested that sea cucumber sulfated sterols might change blood glucose metabolism in healthy mice by reducing glycogenesis and promoting gluconeogenesis.

miRNA-let-7i modulates status epilepticus via the TLR4 pathway

粉土界面恒刚度循环剪切试验研究

竖向循环荷载作用下桩土界面的作用机理是研究桩土摩擦疲劳的关键。针对循环荷载作用下桩-粉土界面的剪切性能,使用改进的剪切试验装置在恒刚度条件下进行循环剪切试验,研究循环次数、累积位移和法向刚度对其摩擦疲劳性能、循环后单调剪切性能的影响。试验结果表明,粉土在循环剪切过程中,法向应力和剪应力在初始10个循环内随循环数增加快速衰减,随着循环进行,逐渐趋于稳定;单次循环内在剪切位移方向变化时,土体呈现表现出剪缩-剪胀-剪缩交替现象,总体变形呈现剪缩的趋势;循环荷载作用下,粉土界面的法向应力和剪应力随法向刚度增大衰减速率增大,达到稳定的累积循环位移越小;粉土循环后的单调剪切、法向应力恢复的单调剪切的剪应力比小于首次单调剪切试验值,且法向应力恢复的循环后剪切试验的剪胀程度较小,表明循环剪切过程中界面处粉土颗粒棱角破碎,颗粒变得光滑。在对试验数据分析的基础上,提出了与累积位移、法向刚度和初始应力相关的无量纲累积位移,建立了法向应力和界面摩擦角随累积位移的衰减方程。

Objective: Rosa odorata var. gigantea is a popular medicinal plant. Some studies have demonstrated that ethanolic extract of the fruits of R. odorata var. gigantea(FOE) has gastroprotective properties. The aim of this study was to investigate the gastroprotective activity of FOE on water immersion restrained stress(WIRS)-induced gastric mucosal injury in a rat model and elucidate the possible molecular mechanisms ***: A rat stress ulcer model was established in this study using WIRS. After rats were treated with FOE orally for 7 d, the effect of FOE treatment was analyzed by hematoxylin and eosin(H&E) staining, and the changes of inflammatory factors, oxidative stress factors, and gastric-specific regulatory factors and pepsin in the blood and gastric tissues of rats were examined by ELISA assay. Molecular mechanism of FOE was investigated by immunohistochemical assay and Western ***: Compared with the WIRS group, FOE could diminish both the macroscopic and microscopic pathological morphology of gastric mucosa. FOE significantly preserved the antioxidants glutathione peroxidase(GSH-PX), superoxide dismutase(SOD) and catalase(CAT) contents;anti-inflammatory cytokines interleukin-10(IL-10) and prostaglandin E2(PGE2) levels as well as regulatory factors tumor necrosis factor-a(TGF-a) and somatostatin(SS) contents, while decreasing malondialdehyde(MDA), nitric oxide synthase(i NOS), tumor necrosis factor(TNF-a), interleukin-1β(IL-1β), interleukin-6(IL-6), gastrin(GAS)and endothelin(ET) levels. Moreover, FOE distinctly upregulated the expression of Nrf2, HO-1, Bcl2 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA).
