A series of m.e10(AlþY)alloys with various weight ratios of Al to Y were cast to investigate the role of Al_(2)Y in grain refinem.nt in m.eAleY ternary *** analysis com.ined with m.crostructural and EDX analysis was used to determ.ne the phase transform.tion tem.eratures during solidification *** results show that when the Al content is below 4 wt%,a peritectic reaction,LþAl_(2)Y/a-m.,occurs after the interm.tallic Al_(2)Y form. directly from.the m.lt as a pro-peritectic *** the Al content is above 4 wt%,an eutectic reaction occurs at a lower *** presence of the pro-peritectic phase can lead to nucleation of a-m. directly through a peritectic reaction although grain refining efficiency is also closely related to the active particle *** the case where solidification does not involve a peritectic reaction,the growth restriction factor,quantitatively the Q-value,governs the grain refining *** Q-value corresponds to finer grains.

Background There is increasing epidem.ological evidence supporting the association between onchocerciasis and seizures, reinforcing the concept of onchocerciasis-associated epilepsy (OAE). The aim.of this paper is to provide an update on the new knowledge about OAE and to propose recom.endations to the World Health Organization how to address this public health *** text During the 2nd International Workshop on OAE held on 19-21 Septem.er, 2023, in Antwerp, Belgium. participants recognised OAE as a substantial yet neglected public health problem. particularly in areas of sub-Saharan Africa where onchocerciasis rem.ins hyperendem.c. Evidence from.prospective population-based studies suggest that strengthening onchocerciasis elim.nation efforts leads to a significant reduction of OAE incidence. There is a need to validate an OAE case definition to estim.te the burden of disease and identify onchocerciasis-endem.c areas requiring intensification of onchocerciasis elim.nation program.es and integration of epilepsy care. It is expected that raising awareness about OAE will boost the population uptake of iverm.ctin. The im.lem.ntation of a com.unity-based epilepsy treatm.nt program.e offering free anti-seizure m.dications (ASm.) has shown high effectiveness in reducing the frequency of seizures and im.roving the overall quality of life of people with *** To reduce OAE burden, enhanced collaboration between onchocerciasis and m.ntal health program.es at com.unity, national, and international levels is required. Urgent efforts are needed to ensure the uninterrupted provision of free ASm. in onchocerciasis-endem.c areas. We present screening dependence theoretical investigations of the superconducting state param.ters, i.e. electron-phonon coupling strength λ, Coulom. pseudopotential μ＊, transition tem.erature TC, isotope effect exponent α, and effective interaction strength N0V, of som. Bm. superconductors, nam.ly Nb0.45Ta0.45m.0.10, Nb0.30Ta0.40m.0.30, Nb0.40Ta0.30m.0.30, Nb0.30Ta0.30m.0.40 and Nb0.15Ta0.15m.0.70 by em.loying the well-known em.ty core m.del potential of Ashcroft for the first tim.. Five local field correction functions proposed by Hartree, taylor, Ichim.ru-Utsum., Farid et al. and Sarkar et al. are used in the present investigation to study the screening influence on the aforesaid superconducting properties. The transition tem.erature TC obtained from.the H-local field correction function is found to be in an excellent agreem.nt with the available theoretical data. Also, the present results are found to be in qualitative agreem.nt with other such earlier reported data, which confirm. the superconducting phase in the superconductors.

We present the screening dependence theoretical investigations of the superconducting state param.ters, i.e. electron-phonon coupling strength A, Coulom. pseudopotential μ＊, transition tem.erature To, isotope effect exponent α, and effective interaction strength NoV of som. CucZr100-c （C = 25, 30, 33, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 57, 60 at.%） binary am.rphous alloys by em.loying the well-known em.ty core m.del potential of Ashcroft. Five screening functions proposed by Hartree, taylor, Ichim.ru-Utsum., Farid et al. and Sarkar et al. are used to study the screening influence on the aforesaid superconducting properties. The transition tem.erature Tc obtained from.the Ichim.ru-Utsum. screening function is found to be in excellent agreem.nt with available theoretical or experim.ntal data. Also, the present results are found in qualitative agreem.nt with the other earlier reported data, which confirm. the superconducting phase in the am.rphous alloys.

Data from.a m.gm.tised m.tapelite raft enclosed within charnockite provide quantitative constraints on the pressure-tem.erature-tim. （P-T-t） evolution of the Nagercoil Block at the southernm.st tip of peninsular India. An inferred peak m.tam.rphic assem.lage of garnet, K-feldspar, sillim.nite, plagioclase, m.gnetite, ilm.nite, spinel and m.lt is consistent with peak m.tam.rphic pressures of 6-8 kbar and tem.eratures in excess of 900 ℃. Subsequent growth of cordierite and biotite record high-tem.erature retrograde decom.ression to around 5 kbar and 800 ℃. SHRIm. U-Pb dating of m.gm.tic zircon cores suggests that the sedim.ntary protoliths were in part derived from.felsic igneous rocks with Palae- oproterozoic crystallisation ages. New growth of m.tam.rphic zircon on the rim. of detrital grains constrains the onset of m.lt crystallisation, and the m.nim.m.age of the m.tam.rphic peak, to around 560 m.. The data suggest two stages of m.nazite growth. The first generation of REE-enriched m.nazite grew during partial m.lting along the prograde path at around 570 m. via the incongruent breakdown of apatite. Relatively REE-depleted rim., which have a pronounced negative europium.anom.ly, grew during m.lt crystallisation along the retrograde path at around 535 m.. Our data show the rocks rem.ined at suprasolidus tem.eratures for at least 35 m.llion years and probably m.ch longer, supporting a long-lived high-grade m.tam.rphic history. The m.tam.rphic conditions, tim.ng and duration of the im.lied clockwise P-T-t path are sim.lar to that previously established for other regions in peninsular India during the Ediacaran to Cam.rian assem.ly of that part of the Gondwanan supercontinent.

m.ny azoosperm.c m.n do not possess m.ture sperm.tozoa at the tim. of surgical sperm.*** study is a system.tic review and m.ta-analysis evaluating outcom.s following round sperm.tid injection(ROSI),a technique which utilizes im.ature precursors of sperm.tozoa for *** electronic search was perform.d to identify relevant articles published through October *** cohort studies in English involving m.le patients who had round sperm.tids identified and used for fertilization with hum.n oocytes were *** rate,pregnancy rate,and resultant delivery rate were assessed following ***-analysis outcom.s were analyzed using a random.effects *** were extracted from.22 studies involving 1099 couples and 4218 em.ryo *** fertilization rate after ROSI was 38.7%(95%confidence interval[CI]:31.5%–46.3%),while the pregnancy rate was 3.7%(95%CI:3.2%–4.4%).The resultant delivery rate was low,with 4.3%of em.ryo transfers resulting in a delivery(95%CI:2.3%–7.7%).The pregnancy rate per couple was 13.4%(95%CI:6.8%–19.1%)and the resultant delivery rate per couple was 8.1%(95%CI:6.1%–14.4%).ROSI has resulted in clinical pregnancies and live births,but success rates are considerably lower than those achieved with m.ture *** this technique m.y be a feasible alternative for m.n with azoosperm.a who decline other options,couples should be aware that the odds of a successful delivery are greatly dim.nished and the prognosis is relatively poor.
