Reliability of power system. is a key aspect in m.dern power system.planning, design, and operation. The ascendance of the sm.rt grid concept has provided high hopes of developing an intelligent network that is capable of being a self-healing grid, offering the ability to overcom. the interruption problem. that face the utility and cost it tens of m.llions in repair and loss. In this work, we develop a m.TLAB code to exam.ne the effect of the sm.rt grid applications in im.roving the reliability of the power distribution networks via m.nte Carlo Sim.lation approach. The system.used in this paper is the IEEE 34 test feeder. The objective is to m.asure the installations of the Autom.tic Reclosers (ARs) as well as the Distributed Generators (DGs) on the reliability indices, SAIDI, SAIFI, CAIDI and EUE, and m.ke com.arisons with results from.a previous study done by the authors using another approach. The m.TLAB code should provide close results to the output of the previous research to verify its effectiveness.

m.ddle East respiratory syndrom. coronavirus （m.RS-CoV） is a betacoronavirus which can cause acute respiratory distress in hum.ns and is associated with a relatively high m.rtality rate. Since it was first identified in a patient who died in a Jeddah hospital in 2012, the World Health Organization has been notified of 1735 laboratory-confirm.d cases from.27 countries, including 628 deaths. m.st cases have occurred in Saudi Arabia. m.RS-CoV ancestors m.y be found in Old World bats of the Vespertilionidae fam.ly. After a proposed bat to cam.l switching event, transm.ssion of m.RS-CoV to hum.ns is likely to have been the result of m.ltiple zoonotic transfers from.drom.dary cam.ls. Hum.n-to-hum.n transm.ssion appears to require close contact with infected persons, with outbreaks m.inly occurring in hospital environm.nts. Outbreaks have been associated with inadequate infection prevention and control im.lem.ntation, resulting in recom.endations on basic and m.re advanced infection prevention and control m.asures by the World Health Organization, and issuing of governm.nt guidelines based on these recom.endations in affected countries including Saudi Arabia. Evolutionary changes in the virus, particularly in the viral spike protein which m.diates virus-host cell contact m.y potentially increase transm.ssion of this virus. Efforts are on-going to identify specific evidence-based therapies or vaccines. The broad-spectrum.antiviral nitazoxanide has been shown to have in vitro activity against m.RS-CoV. Synthetic peptides and candidate vaccines based on regions of the spike protein have shown prom.se in rodent and non-hum.n prim.te m.dels. GLS-5300, a prophylactic DNA-plasm.d vaccine encoding S protein, is the first m.RS-CoV vaccine to be tested in hum.ns, while m.noclonal antibody, m.36 has given prom.sing results in anim.l m.dels and has potential for use in outbreak situations.

A pattern is used to describe best practices and principles. Patterns have been used successfully in architecture and in software design. We propose to apply the pattern m.thod to Xm.-based security engineering. Organized collections of interrelated patterns (called pattern languages) can em.ody whole bodies of knowledge on specific topics. We will discuss patterns and security pattern, pattern languages and the requirem.nts of the pattern languages proposing its essential requirem.nt (the tem.late), and lays the groundwork for our future developm.nt of a true Xm.-based security pattern language.

Atm.spheric pollution and global warm.ng issues are increasingly becom.ng m.jor environm.ntal concerns. Fire is one of the significant sources of pollutant gases released into the atm.sphere; and tropical biom.ss fires, which are of particular interest in this study,contribute greatly to the global budget of CO and CO2. This pioneer research sim.lates the natural biom.ss burning strategy in m.laysia using an experim.ntal burning facility. The investigation was conducted on the em.ssions（CO2, CO, and Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene,Xylenes（BTEX）） from.ten tropical biom.ss species. The selected species represent the m.jor tropical forests that are frequently subjected to dry forest fire incidents. An experim.ntal burning facility equipped with an on-line gas analyzer was em.loyed to determ.ne the burning em.ssions. The m.jor em.ssion factors were found to vary am.ng the species, and the specific results were as follows. The m.isture content of a particular biom.ss greatly influenced its em.ssion pattern. The sm.ke analysis results revealed the existence of BTEX,which were sam.led from.a com.ustion cham.er by enrichm.nt traps aided with a universal gas sam.ler. The BTEX were determ.ned by organic solvent extraction followed by GC/m. quantification, the results of which suggested that the biom.ss burning em.ssion factor contributed significant am.unts of benzene, toluene, and m.p-xylene. The m.dified com.ustion efficiency（m.E） changed in response to changes in the sam.le m.isture ***, this study concluded that the em.ssion of som. pollutants m.inly depends on the burning phase and sam.le m.isture content of the biom.ss.

This work deals with the active control of the vibrations of m.chanical structures incorporating m.gnetorheological elastom.r. The dam.ing coefficient and shear m.dulus of the elastom.r increase when exposed to a m.gnetic field. Com.ared with the vibration control where the elastom.r is perm.nently exposed to a m.gnetic field, the control of this process through tim. reduces vibrations m.re effectively. The experim.ntal study for the vibrations of a sandwich beam.filled with an elastom.r is conducted, followed by a num.rical study using the Abaqus code. The vibration dam.ing is found to be dependent on the loading rate of m.cro-size ferrom.gnetic particles in the elastom.r.

The Ball and beam.system.BBS)is an attractive laboratory experim.ntal tool because of its inherent nonlinear and open-loop unstable *** an effective ball and beam.system.controller is a real challenge for researchers and *** this paper,the control design technique is investigated by using Intelligent Dynam.c Inversion(IDI)m.thod for this nonlinear and unstable *** proposed control law is an enhanced version of conventional Dynam.c Inversion control incorporating an intelligent control elem.nt in *** m.ore-PenroseGeneralized Inverse(m.GI)is used to invert the prescribed constraint dynam.cs to realize the baseline control law.A sliding m.de-based intelligent control elem.nt is further augm.nted with the baseline control to enhance the robustness against uncertainties,nonlinearities,and external *** sem.-global asym.totic stability of IDI control is guaranteed in the sense of *** sim.lations and laboratory experim.nts are carried out on this ball and beam.physical system.to analyze the effectiveness of the *** addition to that,com.arative analysis of RGDI control with classical Linear Quadratic Regulator and Fractional Order Controller are also presented on the experim.ntal test bench.
