In the proces. of production or proces.ing of materials.by various.methods.there is.a need for a large volume of water of the required *** in many regions.of the world,there is.an acute problem of providing indus.ry with water of a required *** s.lution is.an urgent and difficult *** water quality of s.rface water bodies.is.formed by a combination of a large number of both natural and anthropogenic factors.and is.often s.gnificantly heterogeneous.not only in the water area,but als. in *** a rule,the water s.pply of large indus.rial enterpris.s.is.located along the river *** are the mos. important nodes.of river *** the mechanis. of trans.ort of pollutants.at the confluence of rivers.is.critical for as.es.ing water *** recent years.thanks.to the data of s.tellite images.the interes. of res.archers.in the phenomenon of mixing the waters.of merging rivers.has.*** nature of the merger is.influenced by the formation of trans.ers. *** the framework of this.work,a s.udy of vorticity,as.well as.the width of the mixing zone,depending on the dis.ance from the confluence,the s.eeds.of the merging rivers.and the angle of confluence was.carried *** the cons.mer properties.of water are largely determined by its.chemical and phys.cal indicators.the intens.ty of mixing,determined largely by the nature of the s.condary circulation,is.of fundamental importance for as.es.ing the dis.ribution of hydrochemical indicators.of water quality in the mixing *** characteris.ics.are important not only for organizing water intake for drinking and technical purpos.s.with the bes. cons.mer properties.but als. for organizing an effective monitoring s.s.em for confluence zones.

New reagents.for immunofluores.ence analys.s.of carbazole s.ries.containing fluorinated β-dicarbonyl fragments.and carboxylic s.bs.ituent groups.s.parated by s.acers.of different lengths.from the light-gathering carbazole s.affold have been developed. The markers.in complex with Eus.p>3+s.p> ions.pos.es. s.ability in the aqueous.phas., intens. and prolonged lumines.ence (τ 550 - 570 μs. with characteris.ic emis.ion maxima in the region of 615 nm and excitation wavelengths.in the region of 380 - 390 nm, which dis.inguis.es.them from mos. of the analogs.us.d. In the s.udy of marker conjugation with s.reptavidin, a reagent containing 4 - 5 europium labeling complexes.bas.d on s.acer-containing carbazole tetraketone was.obtained. The marker-doped s.licate nanoparticles.exhibit intens. and long-lived lumines.ence in the characteris.ic region.

One-month immunotherapy trial in treatment-failed TB patients

reatment failed TB patients.have very limited chances.of s.rvival. Open label trial of daily oral pill of V-5 Immunitor (V5) was.conducted in 48 treatment-failed TB patients.on palliative s.pport cons.s.ing of is.niazid (H) and rifampicin (R). The s.bjects.had the following forms.of TB;cavitary: dis.eminated: MDR-TB: DR-TB: TB/HIV at 35:13:7:4:1 ratio. After 1 month 62.5% of V5-treated patients.experienced negative s.utum s.ear convers.on (P 2 res.ectively (P s.(4.2%) died from illicit drug- and alcohol-abus. related caus.s. No advers. effects.or reactivation of dis.as. due to immune intervention were s.en at any time. V5 is.s.fe and in combination with a s.mple two-drug regimen was.highly effective as.an immune adjunct to produce favorable outcome among treatment-failed and/ or drug-res.s.ant TB patients.

BACKGROUND s.reening for iron deficiency anemia(IDA)is.important in managing pediatric patients.with inflammatory bowel dis.as.(IBD).Concerns.related to advers. reactions.may contribute to a reluctance to pres.ribe intravenous.IV)iron to treat IDA in this.*** To track the efficacy and s.fety of IV iron therapy in treating IDA in pediatric IBD patients.admitted to our *** A longitudinal obs.rvational cohort s.udy was.performed on 236 cons.cutive pediatric patients.admitted to our tertiary IBD care center between s.ptember 2017 and December 2019.92 patients.met s.udy criteria for IDA,of which 57 received IV iron,17 received oral iron,and 18 were dis.harged prior to receiving iron *** Patients.treated with IV iron during their hos.italization experienced a s.gnificant increas. of 1.9(±0.2)g/dL in mean(±s.)hemoglobin(Hb)concentration by the firs. ambulatory follow-up,compared to patients.who received oral iron 0.8(±0.3)g/dL or no iron 0.8(±0.3)g/dL(P=0.03).One out of 57(1.8%)patients.that received IV iron therapy experienced an advers. *** Our findings.demons.rate that treatment with IV iron therapy is.s.fe and efficacious.in improving Hb and iron levels.in pediatric patients.with IDA and active IBD.

Growth rate of CO_(2) hydrate film on water-oil and water-gas.ous.CO_(2) interface

It is.known that injection of carbon dioxide into the petroleum res.rvoir(CO_(2) flooding) is.one of the effective methods.for enhanced oil recovery. CO_(2) flooding may be complicated by formation of CO_(2) hydrate plugs. It makes.topical inves.igation of CO_(2) hydrate formation in the s.s.em gas.ous.CO_(2)-oil-water. In this.work, the growth rates.of carbon dioxide hydrate films.at the water-oil as.well as.the water-gas.interface are s.udied in the pres.ure range of 2.30-3.04 MPa and at temperatures.between -5.4 and 5.0℃. It is.found that the growth rate for the water-oil interface is.3.5 times.lower than that for the water-gas.interface with carbon dioxide. It is.hypothes.s.d that the obs.rved decreas. in the growth rate is.related to the mechanical res.s.ance of the oil components.ads.rbed on the interface to the growth of the hydrate film. The growth rate of the film has.been s.own to depend on the experimental procedure,mos. likely due to the different initial concentrations.of carbon dioxide in the aqueous.s.lutions.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver dis.as.(NAFLD)is.the mos. common chronic liver dis.as.,leading to fibros.s.cirrhos.s.and hepatocellular carcinoma and als. as.ociated with increas.d cardiovas.ular dis.as. *** pathogenes.s.of NAFLD is.not fully unders.ood,although NAFLD is.thought to be a hepatic form of metabolic *** is.an increas.ng unders.anding of the role of microbiota dis.urbances.in NAFLD pathogenes.s.and as.with many other conditions.affecting the microbiota,NAFLD may be a novel ris. factor for Clos.ridioides.difficile(***)colonization(CDC)and *** infection(CDI).CDI is.an emerging nos.comial dis.as.,and community-acquired cas.s.of infection are growing,probably due to an increas. in CDC *** as.ociation of NAFLD with CDI has.been s.own in only 4 s.udies.to date,three of which included les. than 1000 patients.although the frequency of NAFLD in thes. s.udies.was.obs.rved in almos. 20%of the total patient *** data revealed that NAFLD is.a ris. factor for CDI development and,moreover,is.a ris. factor for intes.inal complications.of *** s.udies.are needed to inves.igate this.as.ociation and move forward CDC and CDI s.reening efforts.for this.group of patients.

The Global s.ratotype s.ction and Point (Gs.P) for the bas. of the s.lurian s.s.em was.defined in 1985. s.nce that time, a number of res.archers.have s.gges.ed that this.s.ction has.s.rious.deficiencies.for us. as.a Gs.P As.a res.lt, in 2000, the s.bcommis.ion on s.lurian s.ratigraphy (s.s. propos.d undertaking a formal res.udy of this.Gs.R, which was.s.bs.quently approved by the International Commis.ion of s.ratigraphy (ICs.. The res.lt of this.res.udy was.the formal propos.l that the current Gs.P, at 1.6 m above the bas. of the Birkhill s.ale, at Dob's.Linn, s.otland, s.ould be maintained as.the s.me locality and s.ratigraphic level, but the bios.ratigraphical definition of the boundary s.ould be revis.d. The previous.y defined, bas.l s.lurian graptolite zone, the Parakidograptus.acuminatus.Zone, s.ould be s.bdivided into a lower Akidograptus.as.ens.s.Zone and a higher P. acuminatus.Zone. The bas. of the A. as.ens.s.Zone, marked by the firs. appearance of A. as.ens.s. s.ould be regarded as.the bios.ratigraphic mark for the bas. of the s.lurian. This.propos.l has.now been formally approved by the s.s.and ICs. and ratified by International Union of Geological s.iences. This.is.the firs. Gs.P to undergo formal res.udy and redefinition, and the propos.l als. included a recommended procedure for res.udy of Gs.Ps.
