Sand production from loosely consolidated reservoirs is one of the critical issues in the oil and gas in-dustry all around the world that can cause many problems,such as erosion of surface and well equip-ment,sand accumulation in wells and operation facilities,buckling of casing in cased-hole wells and well productivity *** production control methods include restrictive production rate,mechanical methods(slotted liner,wire-wrapped screen,pre-packed screen,frac-pack,gravel pack,high-rate water pack)and chemical consolidation that chemical method is considered for more effectiveness in sand production alleviation due to increasing formation strength in near wellbore *** review provides an overview on the laboratory and filed operation investigations of chemical remedy for sand *** used chemical agents and more common laboratory tests for evaluating the chemical performance in sand consolidation are introduced in this ***,the results of field operations and in-jections of chemicals into the desired formation are also *** results show that the chemical sand consolidation is more effective in newly perforated wells which have no sand production experi-ence and have a production history of less than two ***,it was concluded that the main challenges in applying this method are permeability and capillary force reduction around the wellbore and selective injection into the targeted formation layers.

Comparison of pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma using multidetector-row computed tomography

AIM:To distinguish acinar cell carcinoma(ACC)from pancreatic adenocarcinoma(AC)by comparing their computed tomography ***:Patients with ACC and AC were identified on the basis of results obtained using surgically resected pancreatectomy *** preoperative computer tomographic images of 6 acinar cell carcinoma patients and 67 pancreatic adenocarcinoma patients in 4 phases(non-contrast,arterial,portal venous,and delayed phase)were *** scan delay times were 40,70,and 120 s for each contrast-enhanced *** visual pattern,tomographic attenuation value,and time attenuation curve were assessed and compared between AC and ACC cases using the 2test,Wilcoxon signed-rank test,and Mann Whitney U ***:The adenocarcinomas tended to be hypodense in all 4 *** acinar cell carcinomas also tended to be hypodense in the 3 contrast-enhancedphases,although their computed tomographic attenuation values were ***,5 of the 6 acinar cell carcinomas(83%)were isodense in the non-contrast *** time attenuation curve of the adenocarcinomas showed a gradual increase through the 4 phases,and all adenocarcinomas showed peak enhancement during the delayed *** time attenuation curve of the acinar cell carcinomas showed peak enhancement during the portal venous phase in 4 cases and during the arterial phase in 2 *** of the 6 acinar cell carcinomas showed peak enhancement during the delayed ***:The tumor density in the non-contrast phase and time attenuation curve pattern clearly differ between acinar cell carcinomas and adenocarcinomas,and multidetector-row computed tomography can thus distinguish these tumors.

Increasing water demands,especially in arid and semi-arid regions,continuously exacerbate groundwater as the only reliable water resources in these *** watershed,Iran,is a groundwater-based irrigation watershed,so that increased aquifer extraction,has caused serious groundwater *** that the catchment consists of surface water,the management of these resources is essential in order to increase the groundwater *** to the existence of rivers,the low thickness of the alluvial sediments,groundwater level fluctuations and high uncertainty in the calculation of hydrodynamic coefficients in the watershed,the SWAT and MODFLOW models were used to assess the impact of irrigation return flow on groundwater recharge and the hydrological components of the *** this purpose,the irrigation operation tool in the SWAT model was utilized to determine the fixed amounts and time of irrigation for each HRU(Hydrological Response Unit)on the specified *** the study area has pressing challenges related to water deficit and sparsely gauged,therefore,this investigation looks actual for regional scale *** evaluation criteria,RMSE and NRMSE for the simulated groundwater level were 1.8 m and 1.1%***,the simulation of surface water flow at the basin outlet,provided satisfactory prediction(R^(2)=0.92,NSE=0.85).Results showed that,the irrigation has affected the surface and groundwater interactions in the watershed,where agriculture heavily depends on *** 11.64 Mm3 water entered to the aquifer by surface recharge(precipitation,irrigation),transmission loss from river and recharge wells 5.8 Mm3 and ground water boundary flow(annually 20.5 Mm^(3)).Water output in the watershed included ground water extraction and groundwater return flow(annually 46.4 Mm^(3))and ground water boundary flow(annually 0.68 Mm^(3)).Overally,the groundwater storage has decreased by 9.14 Mm3 annually in Samalqan *** method can be appl

With mortality rates of liver cancer doubling in the last 20 years, this disease is on the rise and has become the fifth most common cancer in men and the seventh most common cancer in women. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) represents approximately 90% of all primary liver cancers and is a major global health concern. Patients with HCC can be managed curatively with surgical resection or with liver transplantation, if they are diagnosed at an early stage. Unfortunately, most patients with HCC present with ad-vanced stages of the disease and have underlying liver dysfunction, which allows only 15%of patients to be eligible for curative treatment. Several different treatment modal-ities are available, including locoregional therapy radiofre-quency ablation, microwave ablation, percutaneous ethanol injection, trans-arterial chemoembolization, transarterial radio-embolization, cryoablation, radiation therapy, stereo-tactic radiotherapy, systemic chemotherapy, molecularly targeted therapies, and immunotherapy. Immunotherapy has recently become a promising method for inhibiting HCC tumor progression, recurrence, and metastasis. The term"Immunotherapy"is a catch-all, encompassing a wide range of applications and targets, including HCC vaccines, adoptive cell therapy, immune checkpoint inhibitors, and use of oncolytic viruses to treat HCC. Immunotherapy in HCC is a relatively safe option for treating patients with advanced disease in the USA who are either unable to receive or failed sorafenib/lenvatinib therapy and thus may offer an addi-tional survival benefit for these patients. The purpose of this review is to elaborate on some of the most recent advance-ments in immunotherapy.

In the cationic flotation of pyrolusite using dodecyl ammine(DDA),the depressive effect of sodium carbonate andcalcium chloride on the calcite mineral was investigated systematically through flotation experiments,FTIR analysis,contact anglemeasurements and zeta potential *** microflotation experiments showed that both depressant agents decrease the flotationrecovery of calcite *** addition,sodium carbonate acts as activator agent for pyrolusite,and increases its *** experiments and contact angle measurements indicated that the selective depression effect of sodium carbonate on thecalcite mineral is more than that of calcium *** evidenced by zeta potential and FT-IR analysis,sodium carbonate decreasesthe negative charges on the surface of calcite mineral and subsequently reduces the adsorption of DDA collector through *** a pH of7.5,using2000g/t DDA and1500g/t sodium carbonate,a pyrolusite concentrate containing almost40%MnOwith71.5%recovery is achieved by carrying out the ore flotation experiments on the tabling pre-concentrate.

Litsea elliptica Blume has been traditionally used to treat headache,fever,and stomach ulcer,and has also been used as an insect *** acute and subacute toxicities of *** essential oil were evaluated orally by gavage in female Sprague-Dawley *** the acute toxicity study,*** essential oil was administered in doses from 500 to 4 000 mg/kg(single dose),and in the subacute toxicity test,the following doses were used:125,250,and 500 mg/kg,for 28 consecutive *** the acute toxicity study,*** essential oil caused dose-dependent adverse behaviours and *** median lethal dose value was 3 488.86 mg/kg and the acute non-observed-adversed-effect level value was found to be 500 mg/*** subacute toxicity study of *** essential oil did not reveal alterations in body weight,and food and water *** haematological and biochemical analyses did not show significant differences between control and treated groups in most of the parameters examined,except for the hemoglobin,mean cell hemoglobin concentration,mean cell volume,mean cell hemoglobin,serum albumin,and serum ***,these differences were still within the normal *** abnormalities or histopathological changes were observed in the liver,pancreatic islet of Langerhans,and renal glomerulous and tubular cells of all treated *** conclusion,*** essential oil can be classified in the U group,which is defined as a group unlikely to present an acute hazard according to World Health Organization(WHO) classification.

Background:Testicular torsion(TT)is an acute inflammatory process leading to male ***,anti-i nflammatory effects of exosomes derived from blood serum are used in various laboratory *** the present study,the anti-i nflammatory effects of blood-serum-derived exosomes in treatment of acute inflammation following TT in mice were *** and Methods:Eighteen male mice were grouped as healthy control,TT,and TT+*** was induced surgically,and exosomes were extracted from blood serum and administrated by a single intratesticular injection(10 IU).Malondialdehyde(MDA)and Griess assays were used to evaluate the level of oxidative *** indices,testosterone(Tes),and apoptotic gene expression(p-53,Bcl2,and Caspase-3)were also assessed.H&E and immunohistochemistry(IHC)stainings were used for histopathological *** analysis was applied by SPSS(v.19)***:Oxidative stress and apoptotic genes expression were increased significantly(p<0.05)in TT group compared with *** parameters and Tes were significantly increased,and expression of apoptotic genes was significantly reduced in TT+exosome group(p<0.05).Conclusion:Since the blood-serum-derived exosomes have anti-i nflammatory features,the intratesticular application of blood-serum-derived exosomes can be used clinically in acute phase of orchitis following TT to inhibit testicular inflammation.
