Designing a Comprehensive Skill Evaluation and Vocational Ability Development Program for FTTH Installer

Recently, FTTH （fiber to the home） is spreading rapidly, and communication technology has become an indispensable part in our lives. FTTH installers who build the infi＇astructure must correspond to the progress of technology while ensuring a high quality of installation, and it is struggling to its counterpart. The present study is undertaken in order to propose effective vocational ability development program for FTTH installers from the approach of their skill. They are information network cabling-related qualification system and competitions as the ability evaluation system. Then the author concludes that this program makes a contribution to improving their skill and maintaining the quality of the optical fiber network in analyzing some example of actual installation work and the measurement result of the OTDR（optical time domain reflect） meter.

AIM: To determine the prevalence of SLC25A13 mutations in the Thai population.METHODS: A total of 1537 subjects representing the Thai population were screened for a novel pathologic allele ***1? (c.2T > C) and six previously known common SLC25A13 mutations: [I] (c.851_854delGTAT), [II] (***11 + 1G > A), [III] (c.1638_1660dup), [IV] (p.S225X), [V] (IVS13 + 1G > A), and [XIX] (***16ins3kb) using a newly developed TaqMan and established HybProbe assay, respectively. Sanger sequencing was employed for specimens showing an aberrant peak to confirm the targeted mutation as well as the unknown aberrant peaks detected. Frequencies of the mutations identified were compared in each region. Carrier frequency and disease prevalence of citrin deficiency caused by SCL25A13 mutations were estimated.RESULTS: ***1? was identified in the heterozygous state in 85 individuals, giving a carrier frequency of 1/18, which suggests possible selective advantage of this variant. The question of ***1? homozygote lethality remains unanswered which may serve as an explanation as to why this homozygote has yet to be identified in patients/controls even with high allele frequency. The ***1? mutation has rarely been studied in populations other than Thai and Chinese; therefore, may have been overlooked. Development of the TaqMan assay in the present study would allow a simple, rapid, and cost-effective method for mass screening. Heterozygous mutations: [XIX] and [I] were identified in 17 individuals, giving a carrier rate of 1/90 and a calculated homozygote rate of 1/33000. Two novel variants, ***11 + 17C > G and c.1311C > T, of unknown clinical significance were identified at low frequency.CONCLUSION: This study highlighted the current underestimation of citrin deficiency and suggests the possible selective advantage of the ***1? allele.

The recent Southampton consensus guideline and two previous international consensus meetings held in Louisville and Morioka in 2008 and 2014,respectively have recommended laparoscopic liver resection(LLR)as a standard procedure for selected patients with colorectal liver metastases(CRLM)(1-3).The Oslo-CoMet and LapOpHuva studies are the only two randomized controlled trials(RCTs)that have provided solid evidence showing that LLR is a safer,less invasive,and more cost-effective approach with higher health-related quality of life and oncological outcomes equivalent to those of open liver resection(OLR)for patients with CRLM(4-6).

The periodic s1-equivariant hypersurfaces of constant mean curvature can be obtained by using the Lagrangians with suitable potential functions in the Berger spheres. In the corresponding Hamiltonian system, the conservation law is effectively applied to the construction of periodic s1-equivariant surfaces of arbitrary positive constant mean curvature.

Recently we proposed the linguistic Copenhagen interpretation (or, quantum language, measurement theory), which has a great power to describe both classical and quantum systems. Thus we think that quantum language can be viewed as the language of science. Further, we showed that certain logic (called quantum fuzzy logic) works in quantum language. In general, it is said that logic and time do not go well together. Then, the purpose of this paper is to show that quantum fuzzy logic works well with time. That is, quantum fuzzy logic has the advantage of being able to clearly distinguish between implication and causality. In fact, we will show the contraposition of the proposition “If no one is scolded, no one will study” (or the negation of “John is always hungry”) can be written in quantum fuzzy logic. However, “time” in everyday language has various aspects (e.g., tense, subjective time). Therefore, it is not possible to understand all of the “time” of everyday language by the “time” of quantum language.
