The present work is an attempt to develop bio-based hybrid composites by incorporating Betel nut Fiber(BF)and Chicken feather Fiber(CF)at different ratios in modified soybean oil matrix by compression molding *** ratio of the fiber and resin was taken as 30:*** soybean oil(ESO)was modified by using methacrylic acid and methacrylic *** ratio of CF and BF was varied from 2:1 to 1:2 *** influence of hybrid fibers and fiber ratio on various properties of the composites was *** obtained results showed that composites prepared with 1:1 ratio of CF and BF exhibited highest tensile strength compared to the other composites prepared by using different ratios of CF and *** surface morphology of the composites was studied by Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM),where surface roughness was found to be decreased after incorporation of hybrid *** analysis was carried out to study the behaviour of the composites at high temperature,where thermal stability was found to enhance for hybrid composites compared to the composites prepared with single *** properties like water vapour uptake capacity and volumetric swelling were measured and found to be decreased for the hybrid *** overall improvement in properties was observed for composites having 1:1 ratio of CF:***,it is concluded that 1:1 weight ratio of CF and BF is the optimum mixing ratio to enhance the various properties of the hybrid composites.

Melamine-formaldehyde acrylamide （MFA） copolymer was prepared and vacuum impregnated into wood in presence of 1,3-dimethylol 4,5-dihydroxyethylene urea （DMDHEU） as crosslinker, vinyltrichlorosilane （VTCS） modified montmorillonite （MMT） and Gum Polymer （GP） derived from Moringa oleifera as a flame retarding agent under catalyst heat treatment. The formation of MFA and DMDHEU was confirmed by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance （NMR） and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy （FTIR） studies. The crystallinity of the composites and interaction among them was studied by X-ray Diffrac- tometry （XRD） and FTIR study. Maximum interaction was found in wood samples treated with MFA/DMDHEU/GP （3 phr）/MMT as shown by FTIR. Scanning Electron Microscopy （SEM） revealed the presence of polymer and MMT in the composites. Transmission Electron Microscopy （TEM） study indicated the incorporation of MMT into the wood polymer composite. Thermal stability and flammability were checked by Thermogravimetric Analyser （TGA） and Limiting Oxygen Index （LOI） instrument. The treatment of wood with GP had a significant influence on the thermal stability and flame retardant properties of the composites. Remarkable improvement in water repellency and chemical resistance was found for the treated wood samples. The composites showed significant improvement in mechanical properties due to treatment.

BACkGROUND The lymphatic system is crucial in maintaining the body fluid homeostasis.A dysfunctional lymphatic system may contribute to the refractoriness of ascites and edema in cirrhosis ***,assessment of lymphatic dysfunction in cirrhosis patients with refractory ascites(RA)can be crucial as it would call for using different strategies for fluid *** To assessing the magnitude,spectrum,and clinical associations of lymphatic dysfunction in liver cirrhosis patients with *** This observational study included 155 consecutive cirrhosis patients with *** presence of clinical signs of lymphedema,such as peau d’orange appearance and positive Stemmer sign,intestinal lymphangiectasia(IL)on duodenal biopsy seen as dilated vessels in the lamina propria with strong D2-40 immunohistochemistry,and chylous ascites were used to diagnose the overt lymphatic *** A total of 69(44.5%)patients out of 155 had evidence of lymphatic *** lymphedema,found in 52(33.5%)patients,was the most common manifestation,followed by IL in 42(27.0%)patients,and chylous ascites in 2(1.9%)*** to patients without lymphedema,those with lymphedema had higher mean age,median model for end-stage liver disease scores,mean body mass index,mean ascitic fluid triglyceride levels,and proportion of patients with hypoproteinemia(serum total proteinkocyte count).Patients with IL also had a higher prevalence of lymphocytopenia and hypoproteinemia(28.6%vs.9.1%,P=0.004).Seven(13%)patients with lymphedema had lower limb cellulitis compared to none in those without *** multivariate regression analysis,factors independently associated with lymphatic dysfunction included obesity[odds ratio(OR):4.2,95%confidence intervals(95%CI):1.1–15.2,P=0.027],lymphocytopenia[OR:6.2,95%CI:2.9–13.2,P<0.001],and hypoproteinemia[OR:3.7,95%CI:1.5–8.82,P=0.003].CONCLUSION Lymphatic dysfunction is common in cirrho

Recent developments in organoid culture technologies have made it possible to closely recapitulate intrinsic characteristics of different tissues under in vitro *** organoids act as a translational bridge between the traditional 2D/3D cultures and the in vivo models for studying the tissue development processes,disease modeling,and drug *** and tissue-specific extracellular matrix have been shown to support organoid development,efficiently;however,their chemically undefined nature,non-tunable properties,and associated batch-to-batch variations often limit reproducibility of the assembly *** this regard,chemically defined platforms offer wider opportunities to optimize and recreate tissue-specific *** present review delineates the current research trends in this sphere,focusing on material perspective and the target tissues(e.g.,neural,liver,pancreatic,renal,and intestinal).The review winds up with a discussion on the current limitations and future perspective to provide a basis for future research.

This study presents the development of a medium flow, multiple slit based PM2.5 （particle aerodynamic diameter 〈2.5 μm） inertial impactor. Its performance was compared with that of a light scattering based optical particle sizer in a field study and in controlled lab based experiments using polydisperse dolomite powder as test aerosol. The impactor＇s optimum nozzle configuration had a cutoff size of 2.51 μm （aero- dynamic diameter） at an operating flow rate of 215 L/rain with a pressure drop of 0.35 kPa across the impactor stage. Because the apparent particle density of an ambient aerosol depends on the physical properties and the chemical composition of the particles, the PM2.5 mass concentration was measured with an optical particle sizer and an inertial impactor over a weekday and a weekend day in a field study during which the effective particle shape factor and density were in tandem modified in order to com- pare the results from the two sampling techniques. The correlation of the two instrument results tended towards 1：1 with increasing values of shape factor （irregular shaped） and effective particle density. This observation was supported through chemical investigations of the collected mass, which showed a higher percentage contribution from elements which are mostly of crustal nature （namely, Ca, Fe, and Mg）.

The propagation of circularly crested thermoelastic diffusive waves in an infinite homogeneous transversely isotropic plate subjected to stress free, isothermal/insulated and chemical potential conditions is investigated in the framework of different thermo- elastic diffusion theories. The dispersion equations of thermoelastic diffusive Lamb type waves are derived. Some special cases of the dispersion equations are also deduced.

The present paper is devoted to the study of Rayleigh wave propagation in a homogeneous, transversely isotropic, thermoelastic diffusive half-space, subject to stress free, thermally insulated/isothermal, and chemical potential boundary conditions in the context of the generalized thermoelastic diffusion theory. The Green-Lindsay（GL） theory is used in the study. In this theory, thermodiffusion and thermodiffusion mechanical relaxations are governed by four different time constants. Secular equations for surface wave propagation in the considered media are derived. Anisotropy and diffusion effects on the phase velocity, attenuation coefficient are graphically presented in order to present the analytical results and make comparison. Some special cases of frequency equations are derived from the present investigation.

Chronic radiation proctopathy occurs in 5%-20% of patients following pelvic radiotherapy. Although many cases resolve spontaneously,some lead to chronic symptoms including diarrhea,tenesmus,urgency and persistent rectal bleeding with iron deficiency anemia requiring blood transfusions. Treatments for chronic radiation proctitis remain unsatisfactory and the basis of evidence for various therapies is generally insuff icient. There are very few controlled or prospective trials,and comparisons between therapies are limited because of different evaluation methods. Medical treatments,including formalin,topical sucralfate,5-amino salicylic acid enemas,and short chain fatty acids have been used with limited *** management is associated with high morbidity and mortality. Endoscopic therapy using modalities such as the heater probe,neodymium:yttrium-aluminium-garnet laser,potassium titanyl phosphate laser and bipolar electrocoagulation has been reported to be of some benef it,but with frequent *** plasma coagulation is touted to be the preferred endoscopic therapy due to its eff icacy and safety *** methods of endoscopic ablation such as radiofrequency ablation and cryotherapy have been recently described which may afford broader areas of treatment per application,with lower rate of *** review will focus on endoscopic ablation therapies,including such newer modalities,for chronic radiation proctitis.

Agriculture faces risks due to increasing stress from climate change,particularly in semi-arid *** of understanding of crop water requirement(CWR)and irrigation water requirement(IWR)in a changing climate may result in crop failure and socioeconomic problems that can become detrimental to agriculture-based economies in emerging nations *** research in CWR and IWR has largely focused on large river basins and scenarios from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 3(CMIP3)and Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 5(CMIP5)to account for the impacts of climate change on *** basins,however,are more susceptible to regional climate change,with more significant impacts on *** study estimates CWRs and IWRs for five crops(sugarcane,wheat,cotton,sorghum,and soybean)in the Pravara River Basin(area of 6537 km^(2))of India using outputs from the most recent Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6)General Circulation Models(GCMs)under Shared Socio-economic Pathway(SSP)245 and SSP585 *** increase in mean annual rainfall is projected under both scenarios in the 2050s and 2080s using ten selected CMIP6 *** for all crops may decline in almost all of the CMIP6 GCMs in the 2050s and 2080s(with the exceptions of ACCESS-CM-2 and ACCESS-ESM-1.5)under SSP245 and SSP585 *** availability of increasing soil moisture in the root zone due to increasing rainfall and a decrease in the projected maximum temperature may be responsible for this decline in ***,except for soybean and cotton,the projected IWRs for all other three crops under SSP245 and SSP585 scenarios show a decrease or a small increase in the 2050s and 2080s in most CMIP6 *** findings are important for agricultural researchers and water resource managers to implement long-term crop planning techniques and to reduce the negative impacts of climate change and associated rainfall variability to avert crop failure and agricultural
