Himalayan glaciers are shrinking rapidly,especially after *** shrinkage,ho.ever,sho.s a differential pattern in space and time,emphasizing the need to.mo.ito. and assess glacier changes at a larger *** this study,changes o. 48 glaciers situated aro.nd the twin peaks o. the Nun and Kun mo.ntains in the no.thwestern Himalaya,hereafter referred to.as Nun-Kun Gro.p o. Glaciers(NKGG),were investigated using Landsat satellite data during *** in glacier area,sno.t po.itio.,Equilibrium Line Altitude(ELA),surface thickness and glacier velo.ity were assessed using remo.e sensing data supplemented by field *** study revealed that the NKGG glaciers have experienced a recessio. o. 4.5%±3.4%and their sno.ts have retreated at the rate o. 6.4±1.6 m·a^(-1).Additio.ally,there was a 41%increase o.served in the debris co.er area during the o.servatio. *** the geo.etic appro.ch,an average glacier elevatio. change o.-1.4±0.4 m·a^(-1)was o.served between 2000 and *** o.served mass lo.s o. the NKGG has resulted in the deceleratio. o. glacier velo.ity fro. 27.0±3.7 m·a^(-1)in 2000 to.21.2±2.2 m·a^(-1)in *** ELA has shifted upwards by 83.0±22 m during the *** mo.pho.o.ical and to.o.raphic facto.s sho.ed a stro.g influence o. glacier ***,a higher recessio. o. 12.9%±3.2%was o.served in small glaciers,co.pared to.2.7%±3.1%in larger *** debris-co.ered glaciers sho.ed lo.er shrinkage(2.8%±1.1%)co.pared to.the clean glaciers(9.3%±5%).The glacier depletio. reco.ded in the NKGG during the last two.decades,if co.tinued,wo.ld severely diminish glacial vo.ume and capacity to.sto.e water,thus jeo.ardizing the sustainability o. water reso.rces in the basin.

o.JECTIVE: To.evaluate phyto.hemicals and in vitro.bio.o.ical po.ential o. flo.ers, leaves and stem extracts o. Ro.a arvensis. METHo.S: Presence o. twenty seco.dary metabo.ites was co.firmed and then pheno.ic and flavo.o.d co.tents were quantified spectro.ho.o.etrically. Fo.rier Transfo.m Infrared spectro.co.y was co.ducted to.ascertain functio.al gro.ps and antio.idant po.ential was examined using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl scavenging activity, to.al antio.idant capacity and to.al reducing po.er *** erythro.ytes were used to.assess anti-hemo.ytic activity and five bacterial strains were examined to.determine antibacterial po.ential o. plant extracts. Radish seeds were used to.perfo.m phyto.o.ic activity and cyto.o.ic po.ential was evaluated via brine shrimps and PC3 cell lines. RESULTS: Highest pheno.ic co.tents were detected in the methano.ic extract o. Ro.a arvensis flo.er（RAFM） [（151.635 ± 0.005） gallic acid equivalent mg/g] and highest flavo.o.d co.tents in the chlo.o.o.m leaf extract（RALC） [（108.228 ± 0.004） quercetin equivalent mg/g]. Fo.rier-transfo.m infrared spectro.co.y analysis sho.ed the presence o. wide range o. functio.al gro.ps. The antio.idant assays indicated highest DPPH scavenging activity [IC50（23.5 ± 0.6） μg/mL] in the methano.ic stem extract（RASM）, highest to.al antio.idant capacity [（265.1 ± 0.9） μg/mL] in RAFM and highest reducing po.ential [（209.9 ± 0.6） μg/mL] in leaf extract（RALM）. Highest antihemo.ytic activity [（90.0 ± 0.5） μg/mL] was reco.ded in RAFM and brine shrimp cyto.o.icity po.ential [（52.3 ± 0.3） μg/mL] in RASM. The antimicro.ial activity was detected highest [（21.1 ± 0.5） mm inhibitio. zo.es] in RALM against Strepto.o.cus aureus. In the end, antiinflammato.y and anti-cancer activity results depicted less than 50 % inhibitio. in the methano.ic extracts.
