Discrete mass conservation and stability analysis of the ocean-atmosphere model with coupling conditions

In this work we considered bi-domain partial differential equations(PDEs)with two coupling interface *** one domain is corresponding to the ocean and the second is to the *** two coupling conditions are used to linked the interaction between these two *** we know that almost every engineering problem modeled via *** analytical solutions of these kind of problems are not easy,so we use numerical *** this study we discuss the two essential properties,namely mass conservation and stability analysis of two types of coupling interface conditions for the oceanatmosphere *** coupling conditions arise in general circulation models used in climate *** two coupling conditions are the Dirichlet-Neumann and bulk interface *** the stability analysis,we use the Godunov-Ryabenkii theory of normal-mode *** main empha-sis of this work is to study the numerical properties of coupling conditions and an important point is to maintain conservativity of the overall ***,for the numerical approximation we use two methods,an explicit and implicit *** implicit coupling have further two algorithms,monolithic algorithm and partitioned iterative *** partitioned iterative approach is complex as compared to the monolithic *** addition,the comparison of the numerical results are exhibited through graphical illustration and simulation results are drafted in tabular form to validate our theoretical *** novel characteristics of the findings from this paper can be of great importance in science and ocean engineering.

The exact risk association of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)for surgeons is not quantified which may be affected by their risk of exposure and individual *** objective of this review is to quantify the risk of COVID-19 among surgeons,and explore whether facemask can minimise the risk of COVID-19 among surgeons.A systematised review was carried out by searching MEDLINE to locate items on severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 or COVID-19 in relation to health care workers(HCWs)especially those work in surgical specialities including surgical nurses and ***,systematic reviews that assessed the effectiveness of facemask against viral respiratory infections,including COVID-19,among HCWs were *** from identified articles were abstracted,synthesised and *** primary studies that provided data on severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection or experience among surgeons and 11 systematic reviews that provided evidence of the effectiveness of facemask(and other personal protective equipment)were *** the risk of COVID-19 could not be quantified precisely among surgeons,about 14%of HCWs including surgeons had COVID-19,there could be variations depending on *** was found to be somewhat protective against COVID-19,but the HCWs’compliance was highly variable ranging from zero to 100%.Echoing surgical societies’guidelines we continue to recommend facemask use among surgeons to prevent COVID-19.

Awareness and knowledge about glaucoma among patients visiting the screening clinic in Jeddah Eye Hospital,Saudi Arabia

AIM:To explore levels and determinants of awareness and knowledge about glaucoma among ***:This was a cross-sectional study that included adult patients from October to the end of December 2018.A semi-structured questionnaire was designed by the researchers to measure the levels of awareness and knowledge about 18 basic information about *** sheet was divided into 4 domains:types of glaucoma,risk factors,clinical features,and management.A knowledge score(KS,range=0-18)was calculated,with higher scores indicating higher ***:A total of 383 patients responded to the questionnaire,61.9%males,mean±SD age was 38.5±12.94 years old,and 61.6%had a university degree or *** them,6.3%and 23.2%reported personal and family history of glaucoma,*** most frequently reported source of information about glaucoma was another person with glaucoma(28.2%),followed by physicians(24.8%)and TV(19.6%).Knowledge by item ranged from 3.1%to 82.5%correctness rate,while KS showed mean=5.91 and median=5;and reliability testing of the knowledge scale showed Cronbach’s alpha=*** KS were found among respondents with higher educational level(P=0.036),diabetes history(P=0.025),and personal(P<0.001)and family(P<0.001)history of ***:This study reveals low awareness and knowledge levels about glaucoma among the attendees of a local eye care hospital,where several misconceptions about disease risk factors,clinical features,and management are identified.

In addition to being environmentally friendly,remanufactured products are popular with consumers because they offer the latest technology at a lower price,in comparison to brand new ***,some consumers hesitate to buy remanufactured products because they are skeptical about their ***,they are unsure of the extent to which the product will render services when compared to a new product.A promotional marketing strategy employed by remanufacturers is to offer warranties for these *** that end,this study scrutinizes the impact of offering non-renewing warranties on remanufactured ***,in this paper,a methodology is suggested,which simultaneously minimizes the cost incurred by the remanufacturers and maximizes consumer confidence toward buying remanufactured *** study uses a discrete-event simulation to optimize the implementation of a two-dimensional non-renewing warranty policy for remanufactured *** implementation is illustrated using a specific product recovery system called the Advanced Remanufacturing-To-Order *** experiments in the study were designed using Taguchi’s Orthogonal Arrays to represent the entire domain of the recovery system to observe system behavior under various experimental conditions.

With the advent of Reinforcement Learning(RL)and its continuous progress,state-of-the-art RL systems have come up for many challenging and real-world *** the scope of this area,various techniques are found in the *** such notable technique,Multiple Deep Q-Network(DQN)based RL systems use multiple DQN-based-entities,which learn together and communicate with each *** learning has to be distributed wisely among all entities in such a scheme and the inter-entity communication protocol has to be carefully *** more complex DQNs come to the fore,the overall complexity of these multi-entity systems has increased many folds leading to issues like difficulty in training,need for high resources,more training time,and difficulty in fine-tuning leading to performance *** a cue from the parallel processing found in the nature and its efficacy,we propose a lightweight ensemble based approach for solving the core RL *** uses multiple binary action DQNs having shared state and *** benefits of the proposed approach are overall simplicity,faster convergence and better performance compared to conventional DQN based *** approach can potentially be extended to any type of DQN by forming its *** extensive experimentation,promising results are obtained using the proposed ensemble approach on OpenAI Gym tasks,and Atari 2600 games as compared to recent *** proposed approach gives a stateof-the-art score of 500 on the Cartpole-v1 task,259.2 on the LunarLander-v2 task,and state-of-the-art results on four out of five Atari 2600 games.

Online advertisements have a significant influence over the success or failure of your ***,it is important to somehow measure the impact of your advertisement before uploading it online,and this is can be done by calculating the Click Through Rate(CTR).Unfortunately,this method is not eco-friendly,since you have to gather the clicks from users then compute the *** is where CTR prediction come in *** CTR prediction relies on the users’log regarding click information *** prediction of CTR is a challenging and critical process for e-advertising platforms these *** prediction uses machine learning techniques to determine how much the online advertisement has been clicked by a potential client:The more clicks,the more successful the ad *** this study we develop a machine learning based click through rate prediction *** proposed study defines a model that generates accurate results with low computational power *** used four classification techniques,namely K Nearest Neighbor(KNN),Logistic Regression,Random Forest,and Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost).The study was performed on the Click-Through Rate Prediction Competition *** is a click-through data that is ordered chronologically and was collected over 10 *** results reveal that XGBoost produced ROC-AUC of 0.76 with reduced number of features.

NPBMT: A Novel and Proficient Buffer Management Technique for Internet of Vehicle-Based DTNs

Delay Tolerant Networks(DTNs)have the major problem of message delay in the network due to a lack of endto-end connectivity between the nodes,especially when the nodes are *** nodes in DTNs have limited buffer storage for storing delayed *** instantaneous sharing of data creates a low buffer/shortage ***,buffer congestion would occur and there would be no more space available in the buffer for the upcoming *** address this problem a buffer management policy is proposed named“A Novel and Proficient Buffer Management Technique(NPBMT)for the Internet of Vehicle-Based DTNs”.NPBMT combines appropriate-size messages with the lowest Time-to-Live(TTL)and then drops a combination of the appropriate messages to accommodate the newly arrived *** evaluate the performance of the proposed technique comparison is done with Drop Oldest(DOL),Size Aware Drop(SAD),and Drop Larges(DLA).The proposed technique is implemented in the Opportunistic Network Environment(ONE)*** shortest path mapbased movement model has been used as the movement path model for the nodes with the epidemic routing *** the simulation results,a significant change has been observed in the delivery probability as the proposed policy delivered 380 messages,DOL delivered 186 messages,SAD delivered 190 messages,and DLA delivered only 95 messages.A significant decrease has been observed in the overhead ratio,as the SAD overhead ratio is 324.37,DLA overhead ratio is 266.74,and DOL and NPBMT overhead ratios are 141.89 and 52.85,respectively,which reveals a significant reduction of overhead ratio in NPBMT as compared to existing *** network latency average of DOL is 7785.5,DLA is 5898.42,and SAD is 5789.43 whereas the NPBMT latency average is *** reveals that the proposed policy keeps the messages for a short time in the network,which reduces the overhead ratio.

White blood cells(WBC)are immune system cells,which is why they are also known as immune *** protect the human body from a variety of dangerous diseases and outside *** majority of WBCs come from red bone marrow,although some come from other important organs in the *** manual diagnosis of blood disorders is difficult,it is necessary to design a computerized *** have introduced various automated strategies in recent years,but they still face several obstacles,such as imbalanced datasets,incorrect feature selection,and incorrect deep model *** proposed an automated deep learning approach for classifying white blood disorders in this *** data augmentation approach is initially used to increase the size of a ***,a Darknet-53 pre-trained deep learning model is used and finetuned according to the nature of the chosen *** the fine-tuned model,transfer learning is used,and features engineering is done on the global average pooling *** retrieved characteristics are subsequently improved with a specified number of iterations using a hybrid reformed binary grey wolf optimization *** that,machine learning classifiers are used to classify the selected best features for final *** experiment was carried out using a dataset of increased blood diseases imaging and resulted in an improved accuracy of over 99%.
