Littoral cell angiomas of the spleen associated with solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas

Littoral cell angiomas(LCA) of the spleen are vascular tumors of unknown etiology arising from the littoral cells of the splenic red pulp sinuses. Usually a benign and incidental finding,LCA have been repeatedly reported in association with a variety of visceral malignancies and hold the potential for dissemination per se. We encountered a case of a 30 year old female who was diagnosed with solid pseudopapillary tumor of the head and distal pancreas by fine needle aspiration cytology. A distal pancreatectomy with splenectomy was performed in addition to a pylorus-preserving Whipple's procedure and cholecystectomy. Histopathological examination confirmed solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreasand showed multiple well-circumscribed anastomosing vascular channels in the spleen. The diagnosis of LCA of the spleen was confirmed by immunohistochemistry that revealed co-expression of endothelial cell marker,CD31 and CD34,along with histiocytic marker,CD68 by the vascular lining cells. LCA has been previously reported in association with colorectal and pancreatic adenocarcinoma,malignant lymphoma,myelodysplasia and autoimmune disorders. We report the first case of LCA associated with solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas.

Pulmonary amyloidosis is uncommon and is usually associated with systemic amyloidosis. Localized pulmonary involvement in amyloidosis without systemic amyloidosis is even rarer; it is generally tracheobronchial or parenchymal in location. Parenchymal pulmonary amyloidosis is generally asymptomatic and an incidental finding, presenting as nodules varying in size and number, unilateral or bilateral. We present an unusual case of primary bilateral pulmonary nodular amyloidosis in an elderly female.

Recently,the fast frequency response(FFR)service by large-scale battery energy storage systems(BESSs)has been successfully proved to arrest the frequency excursion during an unexpected power ***,adequate frequency response relies on proper evaluation of the contingency reserve of *** BESS FFR reserve is commonly managed under fixed contracts,ignoring various response characteristics of different BESSs and their coexisting *** paper proposes a new methodology based on dynamic grid response and various BESS response characteristics to optimise the FFR reserves and prevent the frequency from breaching the under-frequency load shedding(UFLS)*** superiority of the proposed method is demonstrated to manage three large-scale BESSs operating simultaneously in an Australian power grid under high renewable penetration ***,the proposed method can identify remaining battery power and energy reserve to be safely utilised for other grid services(e.g.,energy arbitrage).The results can provide valuable insights for integrating FFR into conventional ancillary services and techno-effective management of multiple BESSs.

Equisetum(Equisetaceae)has long been a focus of attention for botanists and palaeontologists because,given its extensive and well-documented fossil record,it is considered the oldest extant vascular plant and a key element in understanding vascular plant ***,to date,no authentic fossil evidence of Equisetum has been found from the Indian ***,we describe a new fossil species,namely,*** ***.,recovered from the middle Siwalik(Late Miocene)sediments of Himachal Pradesh,western *** identified fossil specimens based on morphological and epidermal *** addition,X-Ray diffraction(XRD)analysis was used to determine the mineral composition of compressed stems of *** close affinity of our recovered Siwalik fossils to Equisetum is supported by the presence of both macromorphological and epidermal *** Equisetum generally grows in wet conditions around water reservoirs,our findings indicate that the fossil locality was humid and surrounded by swamp and lowland regions during *** fossil evidence indicates that this sphenopsid once existed in the western Himalaya during the Siwalik ***,at present Equisetum is confined to a particular area of our fossil locality,probably a consequence of severe environmental changes coupled with competition from opportunistic *** discovery of Equisetum fossils in appreciable numbers from the Siwalik sediments of the Himachal Himalayas is unique and constitutes the first reliable recognition of Equisetum from the Indian Cenozoic.

In this work,as an extension of previous machine learning studies,three novel techniques,namely local inter-pretable model-agnostic explanations(LIME),neural network pattern recognition and association rule mining(ARM)were utilized for proton exchange membrane(PEM)and anion exchange membrane(AEM)electrolyzer database for hydrogen *** main goal of LIME was to determine the positive or negative effects of a variety of descriptor variables on current density,power density and *** this technique,it was possible to uncover rules or paths that lead to high current density,low power density and low *** provided the dominant rules leading to high current density such as using ELAT as the cathode gas diffusion layer,using pure Pt on the cathode surface and using pure carbon as the cathode *** addition,LIME and neural network pattern recognition successfully uncovered the importance of catalytic materials such as cath-ode/anode support/surface elements,operational variables like K_(2)CO_(3) or KOH concentration in the electrolyte,certain membrane types,gas diffusion layers,and applied potential on current *** was then concluded that machine learning can help determine the ideal conditions for developing a PEM and AEM electrolyzer to maximize hydrogen generation,which can also guide future research.

Substantial usage of electronic-based renewable energy resources has completely changed the dynamic behaviours and response time of power networks,which are now fundamentally different from traditional power networks dominated by Synchronous Generators(SGs).This paper evaluates the dynamic response of small-scale Photovoltaic(PV)inverters,which dominate the distribution networks and influence the dynamics of the entire power ***,some critical events which occurred in Australia have shown that the dynamic responses of small-scale inverters do not always follow the inverter ***,these uncertainties make PV inverters’response unpredictable and have the potential to threaten the security of power *** detailed investigation of the dynamic response characteristics of small-scale PV inverters to grid disturbances is lacking in the current *** paper presents new findings from experimental testing under extensive network disturbance ***,a datadriven method is proposed to accurately describe the dynamics of solar PV subjected to various frequency *** results provide beneficial insight to the network operators in predicting power system response to extreme disturbances and avoiding potential grid instability issues,which will assist in achieving 100%penetration of power electronics-based renewable energy resources in the future.
