Study on 3D simulation of wave fields in acoustic reflection image logging

The borehole acoustic reflection imaging logging is a newly developed acoustic logging method that has attracted many interests. These converted and reflected waves for imaging are usually mixed up with borehole guided waves and therefore difficult to be clearly identified. To improve the downhole tool design and develop more sophisticate data processing and interpretation algorithms,studies on precisely numerical modeling of the wave fields in the acoustic reflection imaging logging are neces-sary and critical. This paper developed a parallelized scheme of 3D finite difference (3DFD) with non-uniform staggered grid and PML absorbing boundary to simulate the acoustic wave fields in isotropic and anisotropic formations. Applications of this scheme to the typical cases of isotropic and anisot-ropic formations and comparison with the results from published analytical solutions have demon-strated the validation and efficiency of the scheme. Higher accuracy and lower computation cost (3.5 times faster than the conventional schemes) have been achieved with this scheme for modeling such a complex wave fields of 60 dB dynamic range with higher frequency (10 kHz). This simulating program provides a quantitative analytical means for studying acoustic reflection imaging tool and development of the data processing and interpretation methods.

Effects of Temperature and Alloying Elements on γ Phase Fraction of Grain-oriented Silicon Steel

The effects of temperature and alloying elements on γ phase fraction of grain-oriented silicon steel,which contained 2.97-3.42mass% Si and 0.028-0.058mass% C,were studied by microstructure observation and ***,the quantitative relationships of temperature as well as C,Si,and Mn contents to γ phase fraction were obtained by numerical *** experimental results show that γ phase fraction firstly increases with increasing temperature,reaches a maximum and then decreases in the temperature range of 900-1 250 ℃.The temperature corresponding to the maximum γ phase fraction is about 1 150-1 200℃.Meanwhile,the γ phase fractions in steels at the same temperature have some differences because of different contents of various alloying *** verification results show that the values of γ phase fractions to C,Si,and Mn contents at the specific temperatures,which were obtained by multiple linear regression method,agree well with the measured *** addition,the values of γ phase fractions to C,Si,and Mn contents in the temperature range of 900-1 250℃,which were obtained by binomial regression method,agree with the measured values when the contents of Mn and soluble Al are not more than 0.320mass% and 0.034mass%,*** obtained equations can carry out the approximate prediction of γ phase fractions of grain-oriented silicon steels during the hot rolling process.

X-ray fluorescence microtomography(μXFCT)is a nondestructive analytical technique and has been widely used to nondestructively detect and quantify the elemental composition and distributions in samples. Usually, synchrotron radiation X-rays are used for μXFCT, due to its high flux density. In this paper, a laboratory-sourcebased μXFCT system was developed, in which a polycapillary lens is employed to focus the X-ray beam and improve the flux density. The maximum likelihood expectation maximization algorithm was used to reconstruct the computed tomography slices at a limited number of projections. The experimental results demonstrated that the developed system could reveal the elemental distribution inside the test sample, with an elemental sensitivity of 1000 ppm.

Spectroscopic factor elucidates the overlap between the initial and final states as well as the occupancy of a given singleparticle *** plays an important role in nuclear reactions and nuclear ***-nucleon transfer reactions such as(J,p)and(d,n)have been used extensively to extract the spectroscopic information of the single-nucleon orbits in nuclei located at or near the stability line[1-3],by comparing the experimental and theoretical differential cross sections as expressed by eq.(1).The uncertainties of the extracted spectroscopic factors are from the statistics of the measurements(3%),the uncertainties of the target thickness(5%),the optical potential parameters for both entrance(15%)and exit channels(15%),the geometrical parameters for the bound states(20%),as well as the spectroscopic factor in d(15%).

A transition edge sensor(TES)is extremely sensitive to changes in temperature,and combined with a high-Z metal of a certain thickness,it can realize high-energy resolution measurements of particles such as X-rays.X-rays with energies below 10 keV have a weak penetrating ability,hence,only gold or bismuth of a few micrometers in thickness can guarantee a quantum efficiency higher than 70%.Therefore,the entire structure of the TES X-ray detector in this energy range can be realized using a microfabrication ***,for X-rays or γ-rays from 10 keV to 200 keV,submillimeter absorber layers are required,which cannot be realized using the microfabrication *** paper first briefly introduces a set of TES X-ray detectors and their auxiliary systems,and then focuses on the introduction of the TES γ-ray detector with an absorber based on a submillimeter lead-tin alloy *** detector achieved a quantum efficiency above 70% near 100 keV and an energy resolution of approximately 161.5 eV at 59.5 keV.

Background： Previous studies have indicated that endoplasmic reticulum stress participates in and mediates liver injury and apoptosis in brain-dead （BD） rats. In this study, we observed the effect ofsalubrinal （Sal, Sigma, USA） on liver cells in BD rats and explored its relevant mechanisms. Methods： Thirty Sprague-Dawley rats were equally randomized into three groups： BD group, Sal group, and DMSO group. The BD models were established by increasing intracranial pressure in a modified, slow, and intermittent way. In the drug groups, Sal was administered I h before the induction of BD. After modeling was completed, the blood and liver samples were harvested. CHOP and Caspase-12 mRNA expression was detected using quantitative polymerase chain reaction. PKR-like ER kinase （PERK）, P-eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2a （elF2a）, elF2a, CHOP and caspase-12 expression was detected using western blotting （WB）. CHOP and caspase-12 distribution and expression in liver tissues were determined using immunohistochemistry （IHC）. Alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase level were detected using an automatic biochemical analyzer. hepatic cell apoptosis was detected using TUNEL. The results were analyzed using Quantity-one v4.62 software （Bio-Rad, USA）. Results： CHOP and caspase-12 expression and PERK, elF2a, and P-elF2a protein expression showed no significant difference between BD group and DMSO group. Compared with BD group, Sal group had a significantly higher P-elF2C level and a lower P-PERK level 2 h and 6 h alter BD （P 〈 0.05）. However, eIF2a expression showed no significant difference （P 〉 0.05）. After the Sal treatment, CHOP and caspase- 12 mRNA expression significantly decreased 4 hatter BD （P 〈 0.05）. WB and IHC indicated that CHOP and caspase- 12 expression also significantly decreased after Sal treatment. Sal was associated with improved liver function and decreased hepatic cell apoptosis. Background Mangrove tannins can participate in wetland biogeochemical ***,their fate and dynamics during leaf litter leaching have yet to be elucidated in coastal aquatic *** By using a simulated microcosm experiment,changes in leaf litter mass and tannin compounds,including total phenolics(TP),extractable condensed tannins(ECT),and bound condensed tannins(BCT),were examined in the litters and leachates of four common mangrove species:Kandelia obovata(Ko),Aegiceras corniculatum(Ac),Sonneratia apetala(Sa),and Avicennia marina(Am).Results Leaching caused a notable decline in litter mass,TP,and ECT in the leaf litter of Ko,Ac,Sa,and Am,while BCT increased significantly in Ko and *** in foliar TP was higher than in leaf litter mass,and loss in foliar ECT was higher than in TP of Ko and Ac,but Sa showed the opposite *** temporal changes of TP and ECT concentrations in leachates followed a similar trend,with an initial increase followed by a *** dynamics in Ko and Ac leachates correlated with their TP concentrations,while in Sa leachate,the peak ECT occurred 72 h later than its TP *** leachate ECT concentrations were highest in Ac,followed by Ko,and significantly lower in *** peak TP and ECT proportions in leachates accounted for 9.2-23.9%and 7.7-9.4%of the total decreases in foliar TP and ECT,*** During the leaching process,tannins’fate was species-specific,while the dynamics were almost similar.
